The wind pressure of the shockwave produced is 15 tons per square meter, and the maximum wind velocity is 300 meters per second. The force of the blast is powerful enough to level concrete buildings within a kilometer of the blast. The true power of the technique, however, is due to the "reflected shockwave". When the waves from the initial explosion reach the ground, they are reflected and bounce back to merge with the waves produced from the explosion. This creates a new shockfront consisting of the initial wave and the reflected wave. This is the reason for the fireball being produced in the air. If the technique was done at ground level, the earth would absorb most of the technique's power. Due to the technique's extremely large destructive range, however, the user must create the fireball a great distance away from them to avoid being caught in the blast, making it impractical for most combat situations. It is typically used for large-scale annihilation, such as the destruction of a Hidden Village. Miyuki Murakami, however, managed to eliminate this drawback with the Long-Range Body Flicker Technique. She would move to a distance of about 5 kilometers from her target in the blink of an eye, and then use the Tendō on her intended target, thus eliminating the risk to her.
