| abstract | - The Sealing: Cosmic Sovereignty Technique (封印・宇宙万乗の術, Fūin: Uchūbanshō no Jutsu) is a very powerful Fūinjutsu that gains its basis from the use of the Yin–Yang Release with a tool of some kind attached. Generally, Yoshihira employs the sword with this technique, simply due to its effectiveness in bringing out its strengths - and associated weaknesses. The Sealing: Cosmic Sovereignty Technique is a technique that epitomizes the advantages of an individual with the nature of balance itself through immediate conversions as a method of sealing. Through flowing this chakra across the surface of Yoshihira's medium, Yoshihira can proceed to make contact with an enemy's physical being. In doing so, Yoshihira immediately converts his blade to one of pure spiritual energy, slicing through the body with no physical harm done to an opponent initially. However, in doing so, the spiritual energy thrives off the physical energy of the opponent, sealing away any standard restoration possible for the arm because its physical energies have been depleted and sealed into Yoshihira's medium. The speed in which he does so makes it impossible to track by a standard opponent, making evasion the only possible way of avoiding the side-effects of this technique. Conversely, the technique may be employed by the conversion into Yang once physical contact is established. Due to Yang providing far too much energy for the form of the blade to maintain, it proceeds to absorb the form of the enemy, by way of reducing their structural composition to almost nil if kept sustained long enough. Notably, the mechanisms behind the technique make it easier to avoid and if given medical treatment early enough, possible to heal. Nevertheless, the technique is extremely difficult to cure properly, and makes for a highly difficult "seal" to escape from. As mentioned above, the advantages to the technique are plentiful. However, there are also its associated disadvantages. These are summarized clearly by the functionality of the technique. The chakra cost associated with the technique is quite high because the procedure requires the maintenance of Yin–Yang chakra across the blade, in addition to the sudden conversions requiring both focus and great chakra, leaving it to be one-hit technique.
