Synopsis
  • http://www.uncannyxmen.net/db/issues/showquestion.asp?fldAuto=2155 plot summary at uncannyxmen.net Confronted by the Soviet Super-Soldiers, the Avengers battles on to prevent Magneto from being taken. The Soviets loss when Dr. Druid used his powers of illusion on Darkstar who thought that she has captured the Avengers when in truth it was her teammates. When she began to see the truth, Dr. Druid captured her mind. With the Soviets detained by their comrade Darkstar, the Avengers were bringing Magneto to their Quinjet, the X-Men arrived to save Magneto from capture. In the ensuing battle, Magneto regained consciousness and warned both X-Men and Avengers about the explosives in Asteroid M. Captain Marvel at the speed of light began to search for the explosives but too late to stop its explosion. Magneto then used his powers to deflect the debris from all the heroes present. Magneto then brought the X-Men to their Blackbird and left the stunned Avengers behind. Unknown that the Avenger Dr. Druid was able to sneak onboard the X-Men's Blackbird.
