  • Claw was one of the Dark Hunters who were invading Xia before the Time Slip. BoM Master and Kakamu were battling them, by order of Blackout. In Ultima VII Part Two, the normally inaccessible isle is only able to be explored by first using cheats to teleport there. Its shores, roamed by a small population of cats, are littered with human remains and the vestiges of a primitive settlement. These adorn the entrance to a cave, within which are duplicates of most of the game's major plot-related items, as well as a plethora of magic armour and weapons. A teleporter found outside another of the cave's entrances returns the party to Monitor, while a stairwell at the end of the tunnel through the island's lesser, southeastern mountain leads to the Dream Realm.

Chosen by the gods of Elder Light to serve as their champion in their eternal struggle against the shadow gods - the lords of disorder who sought to topple the cosmic equiilibrium and thus hurl the universe into chaos - Claw was raised from infancy in the gods' realm after his parents were slaughtered by king Occulas of the Yellow eye. There, Claw was trained to be a warrior of unparallelled skill and daring, mastering all known forms of combat before he was given two gifts from the Elder gods; One was his crimson glove made from the metal Oraculum, designed to shield Claw from the growing influence of his demon hand; the other was an invincible sword called Moonthorn. But the shadow gods, learning of Claw's existence, cast a spell over him as he was passing back from the realm of the gods of the Elder Light to his homeworld of Pytharia. The spell robbed Claw of his sword and his memory, and he spent the next months wandering his world aimlessly. At last his sword and his memory restored to him, Claw was told of his great mission by the gods of the Elder Light and set out to maintain the cosmic equilibrium. Claw the Unconqured is recruited along with Beowulf to join Wonder Woman and the demon known as Stalker to kill the demon D'Grth. They destroy the demon D'Grth and each go their separate ways. Later, Motrokh found his body and took his mask, causing a shockwave that sent his body flying out of the ocean. It was last seen washing up on the coast of Zakaz, which was bombarded with Blackout's T-4 missiles. The poor guy just can't catch a break.
  • Claw revels in his role as a mindless psychotic killer. His fingertips have been equipped with extensible barbed claws which can be used for a variety of purposes... but mostly killing. His favorite thing in the world is to grab some defenseless 'bot by the neck, pop his claws, show off his toothy smile and spout his catchphrase, "Ripping time!" Good times.
  • Claws are a piece of offensively-oriented equipment that can be used in the Elona+ mod of Elona. They are used in a hand slot. They do not attack on their own, but use their offensive statistics to improve the damage from every other melee or ranged attack, adding both accuracy and damage. But although they do no have their own attack, the Two Hand skill will not activate when one is equipped along with a heavy weapon. Claws are similar to tonfa, with a few differences. While tonfa are precious weapons only, claws have both static artifacts and randomly generated equipment, that are more common and can be made of any material and be of any quality. When claws are equipped alone or with tonfa, the Martial Arts skill will be used and trained. They are enchanted as armor, through the blacksmith or through scrolls, but their enchants are applied to offense instead. Each enchant adds an additional +1 damage and +1% accuracy to any melee or ranged physical attack. When you have 3 or more hands that are not carrying a shield, and wear a claw on one of them, the penalty for wielding a heavy weapon while dual wielding is removed. This exactly the same as using a shield, including the fact that the dual wield skill does not train. They do not give a shield casting penalty, when worn on a second hand. Additionally, when you have 3 or more hands as described above, and are not carrying a shield, wearing a claw on one of them, the casting penalty while dual wielding is eliminated. Wearing a shield will override the bonus of the claw and give the full shield casting penalty.

  • In the First Age of Darkness, it was host to a dungeon called "The Dead Cat's Life II." In Ultima VII Part Two, the normally inaccessible isle is only able to be explored by first using cheats to teleport there. Its shores, roamed by a small population of cats, are littered with human remains and the vestiges of a primitive settlement. Unique features can also be found in the form of large feline statues and wall carvings. There are also some other seemingly unfinished caves and Ophidian ruins hidden beyond reach inside the greater mountain. These are remnants of the game's original plot design, which would have allowed for Claw to be visited as a legitimate location. For more information about the abandoned plans for Claw, see Cut Material in Serpent Isle. Edit: Claw is in fact reachable through a legitimate method. On the isle of Moonshade, there is an abandoned house on the western side with several traps inside. If you stack the handily-provided boxes and walk onto the roof, there is a hidden teleporter behind the chimney that will take you to Claw. (much the same as the hidden teleporter to the cheat room found in Trinsic blacksmith shop in Black Gate).
  • Claw travelled to BG-386 as part of the Young Blood Pack to hunt Xenomorphs there as part of their initiation Hunt. Each member of the Pack ultimately hoped to join the Elite Clan for their endeavours. However, owing to the activities of Karl Bishop Weyland and his team of Weyland-Yutani scientists, BG-386 became host to a massive Xenomorph infestation that claimed the lives of the Young Blood Pack. While Claw successfully killed at least one Marine on the planet, technically earning the rank of Blooded Predator, he subsequently perished in the incident, most likely at the hands of one or more Xenomorphs. Dark, one of three Elite Predators dispatched to BG-386 to investigate the Young Blood Pack's disappearance, later found Claw's body in the jungles on the planet. After paying respects to his fallen comrade, Dark activated Claw's Self-Destruct Device to destroy his body and ensure his technology was not acquired by humans.

As is the case with all other strike weapons, claws cannot neither be unequipped nor dropped because they are part of their owners' bodies. In Path of Radiance, claws cannot be used when their owners are in their Beorc forms, but in Radiant Dawn, they can be used in counterattacks, although with much less force than when they are in their transformed states.

On the other hand, defense systems and "cheap tricks" like electronic warfare have never been a high priority.
