- [Source] The Staff of Command was the cane wielded by the Archduke of Geonosis. The staff served as a symbol of their position as ruler of Stalgasin hive, the planet's ruling hive. One notable Archduke to wield the staff was Poggle the Lesser, Archduke prior to and during the Clone Wars. It is believed that a section of the cane was made up of part of the corpse of the previous Archduke of Geonosis, Hadiss the Vaulted. Poggle carried the staff with him throughout the Clone Wars until he was assassinated by Darth Vader on Mustafar. During the massacre of the leaders, Poggle unsuccessfully tried to use the staff to defend himself. Vader slashed through it with his lightsaber and killed Poggle, destroying the staff in the process.

They were meant to fill the mind of a Matoran with a single overriding command that the victim would follow until the stun wore off hours later. After the Great Cataclysm, the Vahki were destroyed, putting these weapons out of use.
- Staff of Command is a Quarterstaff +2 which gives the wielder the ability to cast Domination on a target at the cost of one charge. The weapon incflicts 1d6 +2 points of crushing damage, has -2 THAC0 bonus and a speed factor of 3. The weapon weighs 3 lbs. and it requires at least 5 strength to wield. Only monks cannot wield this weapon. This item appears in Baldur's Gate II: Shadows of Amn and Baldur's Gate II: Enhanced Edition.
