abstract
  • Abbey Road is the eleventh album by The Beatles. It was released on 26 September 1969. It was the final full album The Beatles ever made, and the album was praised by critics after its release. The album was the penultimate release for the Beatles during their tenure. The album is regarded as one of their best. The album was primarily made a few months after the recording of "Let It Be". Tensions in the band were high. Unlike the previous album, the album was produced by George Martin. The Beatles, at the beginning of recording, had no real idea that the album would be their last. By the end, they knew it would be their last. Sessions for Abbey Road began in April and ended in August. Most of the album was recorded between 2 July and 1 August 1969.
