Ich ignorierte das Gefühl, winkte meine Freundin noch zum Abschied und stieg ins Auto. Ich hatte, da sie keine nahen Nachbarn hatte und die nächste befahrene Straße ca. 2 km entfernt war, den Schlüssel einfach stecken lassen. „Hier würde doch sowieso niemand herkommen, mitten in der Nacht“ dachte ich mir. Wieder überkam mich ein komisches Gefühl, vorsichtig drehte ich mich um und untersuchte die Rückbank. Leer. „Steffi, du musst aufhören so viel Horror-Filme zu schauen“, sagte ich zu mir selbst. Sperrte sicherheitshalber jedoch die Türen von innen zu und drehte meine Slayer-CD auf voller Lautstärke auf. Kein Auto kam mir in den entgegen. Ich musste noch leicht über meine Paranoia von vorher lachen und summte ein wenig bei der Musik die aus meinem Radio dröhnte mit und wippte meinen Kopf und meine Finger im Takt. „St…steht da etwa jemand am Straßenrand?“… Ein erneutes Gefühl der Angst überkam mich, ich wurde etwas langsamer. Ich kniff die Augen zusammen. Was war das? Vorsichtig fuhr ich vorbei. Als ich jedoch das Mysterium passierte, bemerkte ich, dass es sich lediglich um einen Baumstamm handelte. Erleichtert atmete ich durch. Zu Hause angekommen parkte ich mich, so nah wie nur irgend möglich ans Haus, um ja keine einzige Sekunde länger in Finsternis bleiben zu müssen. Ich wusste, dass mein Verhalten dumm war, aber ich wurde einfach dieses ungute Gefühl nicht los. Da ich vorhatte, mich morgen mit einem Jungen zu treffen, beschloss ich, heute noch schnell unter die Dusche zu hüpfen und meine Haare zu waschen. Ich stelle mich also unter den warmen Wasserstrahl und wartete bis mich die Wärme umschloss und ich mich endlich entspannte. Doch da war wieder dieses Gefühl. Mein Bauch zog sich zusammen. „Irgendetwas ist hier im Raum, direkt vor mir. Wenn ich jetzt meine Augen öffne, wird es mich ansehen…“ Mein Herz raste. Langsam öffnete ich die Augen. Nichts. Um keine Minute länger wach zu bleiben, hüpfte ich sofort aus der Dusche, trocknete mich und meine Haare mit einem Handtuch ab und lief in mein Zimmer. Ich kontrollierte mein Zimmer genau. Irgendetwas stimmte nicht. Als wäre dort etwas aus dem Gleichgeweicht. Trotzdem legte ich mich dann ins Bett, als ich mir sicher war, dass sich weder im, Kasten noch unter dem Bett ein Monster befindet. „Lächerlich! Du bist 18 Jahre alt, jetzt reiß dich mal zusammen!“, ermahnte ich mich selbst. Ich sagte mir noch einmal, dass alles okay ist, dann drehte ich das Licht ab.
