Wizardry could also be compared to practicing espionage walking in broad daylight and appearing to be having a conversation about the weather. In this way their methods are overt and their magic covert. The world to wizards is one giant machine and every concentration of magic a cog. They often employee dweomers as the way of making connective spells between those cogs.

  • Renegade spellcasters, many Wizards are obsessed with power, and are known for a number of qualities: not only rebelliousness and flair, but also disdain for the endless lessons and prattling about caution and safety that echo from academic schools of magic. Wizards’ superior attitudes seem to stem from their natural talent – their ability to wrestle the ambient force of magic into submission and direct it to their ends by will and instinct. Any accidents that might occur due to their lack of finesse are unfortunate...but that rarely stops wizards from indulging in their unstable magic power.

  • Wizards are magical spellcasters that do their work through the language of magic. A wizard requires access to that language, and records of that language to do her work. The practice of wizardry is sometimes deeply ingrained in the culture of a race, such as the elves or gnomes, and sometimes taken from other races, as in the human adoption of Elven, Draconic and Infernal spells. Wizards are the people whom wish to tap this power, and are willing to dedicate time and a great amount of work to the practice. Eisenhower, suggesting that Jones' search for an appliance was around early 1953.

In the later games, this is not quite as important.

Therefore, if the player doesn't want to waste time tearing through the extra HP they have stolen, they should be careful when fighting against these enemies.

  • A few unintelligible words and swift gestures carry more power than a battleaxe if they are the words and gestures of a wizard. These simple acts make magic seem easy, but they only hint at the time wizards must spend poring over their spellbooks preparing spells for casting and the years before that spent in apprenticeship to learn the Art. Wizards depend on intensive study to create their magic. They examine musty tomes, debate magical theory with their peers and practice whenever they can. • Wizards are magic users born with the ability to learn other people's spells after they awaken. The same term is used irrespective of gender. They may or may not also have spells of their own. There is a rare type of wizard who do not get spells in the first place. (Almost certainly called Seer) The process of learning spell is really simple: they just have to see it (possibly multiple times), but don't need to make any extra effort. It may be possible to learn some spell without trying for them.
  • According to legend, a wizard was a magician who often times had dealings with familiars, which were demons in animal form sent by Satan to serve them. (TOS: "Catspaw" ) One of the reasons the Megans left Earth in the 17th century was to avoid persecution, as many humans during that time had accused them of being wizards, as well as warlocks and sorcerers. (TAS: "The Magicks of Megas-Tu")

  • Wizard gets its name from its shape, a simple cone structure largely identical to the Phoenix radial Aerospike Test Vehicle proposed in the 1970s. Likewise equipped, the Wizard would be larger (perhaps 20 meters tall) and be capable of launch and landing without any additional support structures, using a hybrid powered fork-lift-like transporter for on-ground mobility. The reusable Wizard would employ either a simple ballistic bottom-forward re-entry profile based on a shallow domed ejectable replaceable ablative shield or a conic side-forward re-entry profile with nose cone and half of its hull surface conditioned for re-rentry, using pneumatically actuated panels at the base of the cone shape for attitude control. A ring of six or more short vertical landing struts just inside the aerosp

  • Wizard is a class in ADOM. Wizards are the masters of arcane magic, and very powerful magic users overall. They are the most effective class at learning and casting arcane spells, and seem to get more PP and find more spellbooks than other classes. Due to their talents in magic — which can deal with most enemies relatively risk free (with enough persistence) — they seem to be considered by common consensus as one of the easiest classes to win the game with. They have good class powers that especially help them with their spellcasting, and start with good skills like Healing, Herbalism and Alchemy.
  • Wizards hover above lesser Hive minions, bombarding Guardians with Darkness blasts. Such attacks are well-aimed and difficult to dodge out in the open, but because they are slow-acting, dodging by chance is made easier by observing their actions. On higher difficulty tiers, a Wizards' basic Darkness Blast becomes faster and more deadly, increasing their lethality. Wizards are intelligent, unlike other enemies. If the player draws their attention and damages them, they will hide behind a wall to heal quickly. They will also have another enemy protect them while they are healing up.
  • Wizards are severely underpowered in the beginning; even with the starting spellbooks they will very quickly find themselves in big trouble as soon as spell stock gets depleted unless they are lucky. A starting wizard should mainly depend on his or her pets, only using magic dart to aid the pet against stronger monsters. Wizards should also join the Mages' Guild as soon as possible, so as to have a steady and reliable stream of spellbooks. Note that playing a wizard is much easier in Elona+:
  • 1. A wizard is someone who experiences sufficient skill in more than a single magical discipline to combine them in united and effective form. The results of wizardry are unobtainable through the exercise of a single one of such disciplines. Most Dragaeran wizards are of the House of the Athyra, or the House of the Dzur. Zungaron gives a formal definition to Vladimir Taltos as "the art of uniting with and controlling disparate forces of nature to produce results unavailable from, or more difficult to obtain with, any single arcane discipline."
  • Wizards are arcane spellcasters who have undertaken intensive study of magic in places such as the Violet Citadel of Dalaran or the Academies of Silvermoon in Quel'Thalas. • Wizards are the most versatile type of magic-users, usually not specializing in any one discipline. Their spellcasting style has remained unchanged since magic was first discovered, and works by reshaping the very fabric of reality. Wizards are experts at focusing the ethereal energy around them, which can produce many powerful effects, more than any of the other character classes. A Wizard's primary attribute is Knowledge.
  • Wizards are the ultimate magic class. As they level up, casting spells gets cheaper. They also learn spells much better than any other class. Although wizards are normally physically weaker than any other class, their strong magic more than makes up for that. It takes wizards longer to earn weapon experience points, but it is still easier for a wizard to learn to use a weapon well than for a warrior to learn and use a spell. The one disadvantage is that magic rays bounce off walls so beginner wizards have to be carefull where they aim (and more leveled-up wizards too).
  • The Wizard is a NPC that sells mana-related items. Once the Wall of Flesh has been defeated, the Wizard can be found anywhere underground, or sometimes he can be found in the dungeon. Using the Hunter Potion will highlight the Wizard to be easily found in the dark. The Wizard only sells materials to be made into spells by the player, and doesn't sell premade spells. The Ice Rod is the only premade item that the Wizard sells that isn't a crafting material. All of the things he sells can only be bought from him and cannot be found anywhere else in the world. Once unbound, if he comes into line of sight with an enemy, he will shoot fireballs that resemble the Flower of Fire to defend himself. It is currently unknown how much damage these fireballs do, but they have been observed to do 19 dama
  • Wizards are arcane spellcasters who depend on intensive study to create their magic. To Wizards, magic is not a talent but a difficult, rewarding art. When they are prepared for battle, Wizards can use their spells to devastating effect. When caught by surprise, they are vulnerable. The Wizard's strength is his spells. Everything else is secondary. He learns new spells as he experiments and grows in experience, and he can also learn them from other Wizards. In addition to learning new spells, a Wizard can, over time, learn to manipulate the spells so they go farther, work better, or are improved in some other way. Some Wizards prefer to specialize in a certain type of magic. Specialization makes a Wizard more powerful in his chosen field, but it denies him access to some of the spells that

  • The concept, first introduced in Microsoft Publisher in 1991, was first used in an operating system in Microsoft's Windows 95. The most commonly-used wizard at the time was the Internet Connection Wizard, which was renamed to the "New Connection Wizard" in later versions of Microsoft Windows. This wizard guides the user through the process of creating a connection to the Internet, or to a Virtual Private Network. By 2001, wizards had become commonplace in most consumer-oriented operating systems. In Mac OS X, for example, they are called "Assistants"; some examples include the "Setup Assistant", which is run when one boots the Macintosh for the first time, and the "Network Setup Assistant", which has similar function to the aforementioned "New Connection Wizard".
  • Wizards are the most numerous of the magic-using professions. Many of them make a career of adventuring and use their talents to recover lost and forgotten magical lore, legendary magical items, and, of course, large sums of money. After completing the level 1 career, a Wizard may choose to specialise in a particular branch of magic (namely Daemonology, Elementalism, Illusionism, or Necromancy). Many, however, find it more profitable to keep a broad base of spell use and remain as non-specialised Wizards.
  • Annak következtében, hogy nem vagyok toleráns azokkal szemben, akik a mágiát saját aljas céljaik elérésére használják, sokan azt feltételezik rólam, hogy irtózom a mágia filozófiai szintű gyakorlásától. Azokkal a sorcerererekkel bocsátkozom vitába, akik felhagynak az ősi hagyományokkal és tanításokkal - tanításokkal, melyek már évezredek óta köztiszteletben állnak, megőrizve a hatóságok tiszteletét és a jog uralmát.
  • Wizard magic is known to be taught at the Unseen University in Ankh-Morpork, Bugarup University in XXXX and Krull University in the secretive nation of Krull, as well as the recently-established Braseneck College in Pseudopolis. It is very much a scholarly study, largely (many believe) to prevent anyone outside the universities realising how easy it really is. In the earlier Discworld novels, wizards (at least the ones of the Unseen University) are described as belonging to one of the eight orders of wizardry, currently named:
  • Wizards are evolved neckbeards who have ascended to highest spiritual platform. When a neckbeard has remained in seclusion, educating himself on Otaku culture and video games for an uncertain amount of time, he becomes fully enlightened and joins the ranks of the supreme. Once one has become a wizard, all knowledge and secrets of the universe are revealed to him.
  • Role: While universalist wizards might study to prepare themselves for any manner of danger, specialist wizards research schools of magic that make them exceptionally skilled within a specific focus. Yet no matter their specialty, all wizards are masters of the impossible and can aid their allies in overcoming any danger. Alignment: Any Hit Die: d6 Starting Wealth: 2d6 × 10 hl (average 70 hl) Skill Ranks per Level: 2 + Int modifier. File:Wizard2.png Class Features The following are the class features of the wizard. Saving throws for all of a Wizard’s spells are 1 point higher.
  • Wizard is a mysterious masked man who styles himself as a “magician”, and is a financial supporter of Peace Mark. He possesses vast information and assets, and is said to be very reliable, but his hidden background and identity have many grounds for suspicion. He toys with the two “Oz”s, Oldrin Zevon and Orpheus Zevon, whose identities and pasts he is apparently aware of. He pilots the black Knightmare Frame, Agravain.
  • Wizards are a form of spellcaster who learn the art of arcane magic through research and learning. What wizards lack in combat prowess and armor they make up with a broad range of magical spells and abilities learned through years of practice and training. Through their spellcasting ability powerful wizards can control the battlefield, using spells that affect wide areas, often hindering enemies, while also learning to use powerful rituals of arcane power. Elminster Aumar, the Sage of Shadowdale, is by far the best-known example of a wizard.
  • In 'Better Dead than Co-ed' Miss Cackle says you should always greet wizards on foot. "We witches sometimes have a clear advantage. Wizards aren't so good at flying." Wizards and witches maintain a society entirely separate from non magical society, with their own culture and traditions. Non magical people are genrally unaware that witches and wizards exsist, and Wiches and Wizards prefer to remain hidden. Witches and wizards have their own schools; there are thirty schools for sorcery, magic and witchcraft scattered throughout Britian, mostly in isolated places. These schools include Cackle's Academy and Pentangle's Academy for witches, and Camelot College and Moonridge High School for wizards. There is also a magical university, Weirdsister College.

  • "Wizards" are ones who have mastered the very "last form of Force", which the Sage Tower has inherited from the Honorable Age. They manipulate Force to compensate their physical weakness. Just like sword skills, magic spells are known to have originated in the Lost Age, but an established theory sees the Honorable Age as the very first time when magic became publicized combat skills, and the present form of magic spells were developed by the first generation of the 7 sages. If sword skills use force to maximize physical abilities and destructive power, magic skills are not only combat methods but also a science that uses Force within oneself to manipulate outer forces in creating powerful energy. In the early years of Nevareth, they used a type of Force controller called "Force Stick" that was inherited from the Honorable Age, but as Core Technology was retrieved and developed, they started using an aggressive Force controller called "Orb". Orb is one-handed, which means that Wizards can be equipped with an orb in both hands to double their power. It also leads them to be able to cast multiple magic spells at the same time. Wizards invest a lot of effort in intelligence in order to efficiently control Force. At the same time, they do not possess much physical strength or agility. Thus they prefer to wear light armor such as Martial Suit Set. According to an unconfirmed theory, they avoid metallic armor because it prevents them from close contact with outer forces. Well-experienced wizards are said to be able to simultaneously use multiple magic spells with ease, and inflict enormous damage just by using a simple spell.
  • Summons the protection of the spirit of water, strengthening water attribute.
  • Burns a scroll to cause an explosion that inflicts fire damage to surronding enemies, and extra damage to those at the center.

  • Wizards are arcane spellcasters who have undertaken intensive study of magic in places such as the Violet Citadel of Dalaran or the Academies of Silvermoon in Quel'Thalas. They do not channel arcane power, but instead use their vast knowledge of otherworldly forces to harness the energies to their will. Wizards come from any races. A night elf who takes this class is stripped of her racial heritage and effectively and physically transforms into a high elf over time. When it starts it is a painful and irreversible process that only takes a week. Orcs and tauren are unlikely to take this class, since they lack Wizards available to train anyone and have a bias against arcane spellcasting to begin with. (WRPG 57) In World of Warcraft, the Scarlet Crusade, Dalaran, the Defias Brotherhood, and Syndicate all employ Wizards.
  • The Wizard is a superhero who first appeared in MLJ Comics.
  • In the closer sense Wizard refers to the Order of the Istari who often used the guise of the travelling Wiseman, Councillor and Loremaster or Master of the Wild as covers for their true nature as powerful Maiarin Spirits.
  • The wizard is one of the roles in NetHack. Wizards can be either neutral or chaotic, and can be humans, elves, gnomes or orcs. The guidebook says of them: Wizards start out with a knowledge of magic, a selection of magical items, and a particular affinity for dweomercraft. Al- though seemingly weak and easy to overcome at first sight, an ex- perienced Wizard is a deadly foe. Wizards are relatively poor fighters with low HP and strength, but are the best spellcasters in the game. All categories of spells are unrestricted to them. They can also write unidentified scrolls and spellbooks (with a magic marker) more easily than any other class. Wizards with high intelligence are granted reduced-hunger casting. Wizards cannot use two weapons. Wizards' special spell is Magic missile, and they have no bonus or penalty for emergency spells. Wizards can get Expert in the weapon skills of dagger, quarterstaff, and dart, as well as the attack, divination, escape, and matter spells. They can also become Skilled at Cleric, Healing, and Enchantment spells.
  • A 1st level wizard must choose between the wizard subclasses arcanist, bladesinger, mage, sha'ir, or witch.
  • Wizards are, most generally, practitioners of covert and/or slow or large overt magic. They often take subtle and cunning approaches to weaving spells that most people would compare to quests, politics, or investigations.
Specialization makes a Wizard more powerful in his chosen field, but it denies him access to some of the spells that lie outside that field.
  • The Wizard is a Tier 2 unit that wears a cloak, a leather belt and matching boots. The Wizard uses long ranged attacks to attack foes.
  • Wizard is a rank of the Mages Guild in Cyrodiil. Wizards rank below Master Wizards and above Warlocks. Master Wizards appoint members of the guild to this rank, after appropriate merit is proven. Upon achieving the rank of Wizard, the Wizard's Fury Destruction spell is granted.

  • Wizards are humans with magical Powers and can use Spells. A good wizard's magic is blue and a evil wizard's power is red. A evil female wizard is called a witch and a evil male wizard is called a sorcerer. Wizards live mostly in Droon but once lived in he Upper World before Salamandra stole most of the world's magic, in fact many of the most powerful wizards were born in the Upper World. Wizards also live longer than normal humans, an example of this is Galen Longbeard who is over 500 years old.
  • Wizards are powerful offensive magic users. They rely on dangerous magic strikes as well as devastating Area of Effect spells to wreak havoc.
  • "Wizard" was a small time con man.
  • A Wizard is a Human class that deals mainly in magic. Unlike other spell-casting classes, a Wizard's spells revolve around three elements (fire, water, and earth), instead of just one. (TAS: "The Magicks of Megas-Tu") In 2267, on the planet Pyris VII; Kirk, Spock and McCoy encountered an ornithoid lifeform named Korob, and what seemed to be a demon in the form of a cat, much like what legends said the wizards of old had possessed. (TOS: "Catspaw" )
  • Currently Wizarding people are forced to fight in an Ancient Battlefield with his/hers siblings for the right of possessing powers of a Full Wizard. That person becomes the Family Wizard, which means that he/she alone posses all the magic of his/her family.
  • Wizard is a multiplayer map in Halo: Combat Evolved. It is most likely a Human structure due to the Human metal plates that make up the internal part of the base. It is also possible that it is one of the Human camps that the survivors of the Pillar of Autumn built on Installation 04. Wizard was remade as Warlock for Halo 2.

  • Instead of sleeping, wizards/sorceresses can Meditate, so their energy is refilled. This can be done anywhere, not necessarily in the Wizard's Tower. They tend to Meditate in random places when left to their own devices.
  • Wizards are special penguins in Club Penguin. They cast spells, mix potions, and typically wear robes, pointy hats, and carry a magic wand or staff. The Lighthouse became a Wizard Workshop during the Medieval Party 2012. During the Medieval Party 2013, Gary the Gadget Guy taught penguins how to cast spells after setting up a Wizard Lab at the School, after being given his ancestor's spell book by Rockhopper, who found it during his journeys.
While Wizards tend to classify themselves as white or black magicians, they are all familiar with the same types of spells. White Wizards use their powers for good, while Black Wizards further the forces of evil. A Wizard can use magic to enhance their own abilities, strike down a foe, travel through space, or manipulate the world around them. Because the arcane arts require intense concentration and study, Wizards are not very skilled in non-magical combat, preferring to fight with daggers or other simple weapons such as hooks, scythes, or swords. The Council of the Arcane is a group of the seven most powerful Wizards in the world, and one of its most important duties is the discussion of new directions that magical research should take; the primary concern of all Wizards is the pursuit of knowledge. The Council also settles any disputes that arise between members of the class, since no other courts truly understand the intricate politics of the Wizards. Young Wizards often journey to the city of Sigil, located on the continent of Auryn. Because the moons imbue this part of the world with a high concentration of magical energy, the city provides the best environment for occult learning. A Wizard's primary attribute is Knowledge.
Many aspects of non-magical society are evident in the magical one, though wizards and witches tend not to use modern electronics and technology; they use magic instead. Witches and Wizards have different fashions, too; wizards wear robes, and witches wear robes or long dresses. younger witches and wizards tend to dress in more 'normal' clothing, like what non magical people of the same age wear.

  • A wizard is a male person who studies magic. They exclusively appear in Luminous Arc 2 but only two Wizards have any relation to the plot. It has been stated by one NPC, that Wizards are biologically inferior in pure Magic potential, as man with magical potential started relaying more on brute force, while most women with magic talent kept on studying magic. Because of that, mens potential for magic started to degrade, while women kept theirs. In Luminous Arc 3, Yu, the only male spellcaster and a Grimore Magi, can be considered as a wizard.
  • The Wizard is a fictional class for Stick Ranger. Can be regarded as the synonym of the canonical Magician class, but instead of creating its own "Magic", the Wizard exhausts Mana for attacks. • Description de la carte Wizard.
In the 4th chapter of the photo story, he is revealed to actually be "Oiaguro Zevon", the uncle of Orpheus and Oldrin, and the head of the minor noble Zevon family. He is also the leader of the Britannian organization "Pluton", which has carried out dirty jobs for the Britannian Imperial Family under the direction of the Zevon family for generations. In addition, he is the one responsible for killing Orpheus' lover Euliya on orders from the Geass Order, and is the enemy that Orpheus hunts and seeks revenge against. In reality, he is tortured by a guilty conscience for killing his older sister in order to take over as the head of the family five years ago, and furthermore killing his nephew (or so he believed at the time) on a mission. Because of this, he commits the contradictory actions of supporting an anti-Britannian organization under the name of Wizard, despite being the leader of Pluton, and tries to support and protect both Orpheus and Oldrin in various situations as a way of atonement.

  • Wizard is the coder behind the game. He made the game and makes it better, posting his updates in the Dev Log. Wizard is well known for his extremely slow updates, it is often a month before he adds a new feature, compared to other games that get updates every few days. There has huge public speculation and suspicion that Wizard isn't actually a wizard. Though he has been seen dating Hermione Granger.
Being wizard, similarly as (born) magic affinities, is caused by having the right ancestors. While it wasn't confirmed being caused by genes, it either is or it behaves similarly.

  • Role: While universalist wizards might study to prepare themselves for any manner of danger, specialist wizards research schools of magic that make them exceptionally skilled within a specific focus. Yet no matter their specialty, all wizards are masters of the impossible and can aid their allies in overcoming any danger. Alignment: Any Hit Die: d6 Starting Wealth: 2d6 × 10 hl (average 70 hl) The wizard's class skills are Appraise (Int), Craft (Int), Fly (Dex), Knowledge (all) (Int), Martial Knowledge (Book)(Int), Martial Knowledge (Staff)(Int), Linguistics (Int), Profession (Wis), and Spellcraft (Int). Skill Ranks per Level: 2 + Int modifier. File:Wizard2.png Class Features The following are the class features of the wizard. Saving throws for all of a Wizard’s spells are 1 point higher. Weapon and Armor Proficiency: Wizards are proficient with the Quarterstaff, the Dagger, the Long Bow, Light Mace, Heavy Mace, and the Hand Gun, but not with any type of armor or shield. Armor interferes with a wizard's movements, which can cause his spells with somatic components to fail. A wizard casts arcane spells drawn from the sorcerer/wizard spell list. A wizard must choose and prepare his spells ahead of time. To learn, prepare, or cast a spell, the wizard must have an Intelligence score equal to at least 10 + the spell level. The Difficulty Class for a saving throw against a wizard's spell is 10 + the spell level + the wizard's Intelligence modifier. A wizard can cast only a certain number of spells of each spell level per day. His base daily spell allotment is given on Table: Wizard. In addition, he receives bonus spells per day if he has a high Intelligence score (see Table: Ability Modifiers and Bonus Spells). A wizard may know any number of spells. He must choose and prepare his spells ahead of time by getting 8 hours of sleep and spending 1 hour studying his spellbook. While studying, the wizard decides which spells to prepare. Starting Spells (See Spellbooks below): A wizard begins play with a spellbook containing all 0-level wizard spells (except those from his prohibited schools, if any; see Arcane Schools) plus three 1st-level spells of his choice. The wizard also selects a number of additional 1st-level spells equal to his Intelligence modifier to add to the spellbook. At each new wizard level, he gains two new spells of any spell level or levels that he can cast (based on his new wizard level) for his spellbook. At any time, a wizard can also add spells found in other wizards' spellbooks to his own (see Magic). Spells Gained at a New Level: Wizards perform a certain amount of spell research between adventures. Each time a character attains a new wizard level, he gains two spells of his choice to add to his spellbook. The two free spells must be of spell levels he can cast. If he has chosen to specialize in a school of magic, one of the two free spells must be from his specialty school. A Wizard gains a number of martial techniques he can utilize in battle. A Wizard can qualify for bonus martial techniques from a high Intelligence score in the same way it can with spells. Unlike with spells, technique saving throws depend on the type of weapon wielded. Very few classes gain martial techniques for free, they must train to learn how to utilize the techniques. However this also means there is truly no limit to the number of martial techniques one can learn. Martial Techniques need not be prepared beforehand, they can be performed so long as you have uses left in the day. Learning martial techniques is described in the Skills Section of this system. A wizard may substitute Draconic for one of the bonus languages available to the character because of his race. Wizards can take the time and spend the Mana to learn techniques in the Book, or Staff category as spells instead of techniques. At 1st level, wizards form a powerful bond with an object or a creature. This bond can take one of two forms: a familiar or a bonded object. A familiar is a magical pet that enhances the wizard's skills and senses and can aid him in magic, while a bonded object is an item a wizard can use to cast additional spells or to serve as a magical item. Once a wizard makes this choice, it is permanent and cannot be changed. Rules for bonded items are given below, while rules for familiars are located here:[wiki:disgaead20:"Familiars"] Wizards who select a bonded object begin play with one at no cost. Objects that are the subject of an arcane bond must fall into one of the following categories: amulet, ring, staff, wand, or weapon. These objects are always masterwork quality. Weapons acquired at 1st level are not made of any special material. If the object is an amulet or ring, it must be worn to have effect, while staves, wands, and weapons must be wielded. If a wizard attempts to cast a spell without his bonded object worn or in hand, he must make a concentration check or lose the spell. The DC for this check is equal to 20 + the spell's level. If the object is a ring or amulet, it occupies the ring or neck slot accordingly. A bonded object can be used once per day to cast any one spell that the wizard has in his spellbook and is capable of casting, even if the spell is not prepared. This spell is treated like any other spell cast by the wizard, including casting time, duration, and other effects dependent on the wizard's level. This spell cannot be modified by metamagic feats or other abilities. The bonded object cannot be used to cast spells from the wizard's opposition schools (see arcane school below). A wizard can add additional magic abilities to his bonded object as if he has the required Item Creation Feats and if he meets the level prerequisites of the feat. For example, a wizard with a bonded dagger must be at least 5th level to add magic abilities to the dagger (see Craft Magic Arms and Armor feat). If the bonded object is a wand, it loses its wand abilities when its last charge is consumed, but it is not destroyed and it retains all of its bonded object properties and can be used to craft a new wand. The magic properties of a bonded object, including any magic abilities added to the object, only function for the wizard who owns it. If a bonded object's owner dies, or the item is replaced, the object reverts to being an ordinary masterwork item of the appropriate type. If a bonded object is damaged, it is restored to full hit points the next time the wizard prepares his spells. If the object of an arcane bond is lost or destroyed, it can be replaced after 1 week in a special ritual that costs 200 gp per wizard level plus the cost of the masterwork item. This ritual takes 8 hours to complete. Items replaced in this way do not possess any of the additional enchantments of the previous bonded item. A wizard can designate an existing magic item as his bonded item. This functions in the same way as replacing a lost or destroyed item except that the new magic item retains its abilities while gaining the benefits and drawbacks of becoming a bonded item. A wizard can choose to specialize in one school of magic, gaining additional spells and powers based on that school. This choice must be made at 1st level, and once made, it cannot be changed. A wizard that does not select a school receives the universalist school instead. A wizard that chooses to specialize in one school of magic must select two other schools as his opposition schools, representing knowledge sacrificed in one area of arcane lore to gain mastery in another. A wizard who prepares spells from his opposition schools must use two spell slots of that level to prepare the spell. For example, a wizard with evocation as an opposition school must expend two of his available 3rd-level spell slots to prepare a fireball. In addition, a specialist takes a –4 penalty on any skill checks made when crafting a magic item that has a spell from one of his opposition schools as a prerequisite. A universalist wizard can prepare spells from any school without restriction. Each arcane school gives the wizard a number of school powers. In addition, specialist wizards receive an additional spell slot of each spell level he can cast, from 1st on up. Each day, a wizard can prepare a spell from his specialty school in that slot. This spell must be in the wizard's spellbook. A wizard can select a spell modified by a metamagic feat to prepare in his school slot, but it uses up a higher-level spell slot. Wizards with the universalist school do not receive a school slot. Instead of specializing in a focused arcane school of magic, a wizard can choose to specialize in one of the elemental schools of magic. Like a normal arcane school, an elemental school grants a number of school powers and one bonus spell slot of each level the wizard can cast, from 1st on up. This bonus spell slot must be used to prepare a spell from the elemental school’s spell list. Unlike a normal arcane school, each elemental school requires the wizard to select his opposed element as his opposition school (air opposes earth, fire opposes water). He does not need to select a second opposition school. He must expend two spell slots to prepare a spell from his opposed elemental school as normal. A list of arcane schools is located here. Wizards can prepare a number of cantrips, or 0-level spells, each day, as noted on Table: Wizard under “Spells per Day.” These spells are cast like any other spell, but they are not expended when cast and may be used again. A wizard can prepare a cantrip from an opposition school, but it uses up two of his available slots (see below). At 1st level, a wizard gains Scribe Scroll as a bonus feat. At 5th, 10th, 15th, and 20th level, a wizard gains a bonus feat. At each such opportunity, he can choose a metamagic feat, an item creation, or Spell Mastery. The wizard must still meet all prerequisites for a bonus feat, including caster level minimums. These bonus feats are in addition to the feats that a character of any class gets from advancing levels. The wizard is not limited to the categories of Item Creation Feats, Metamagic Feats, or Spell Mastery when choosing those feats. A wizard must study his spellbook each day to prepare his spells. He cannot prepare any spell not recorded in his spellbook, except for read magic, which all wizards can prepare from memory. A wizard begins play with a spellbook containing all 0-level wizard spells (except those from his prohibited schools, if any; see Arcane Schools) plus three 1st-level spells of his choice. These spells are on the list of spells that a Wizard can cast, spells from the normal Pathfinder RPG are located here.
Anyone interested in the grand, sweeping history of wizardly magic in Faerun can contact me individually. If I get enough requests, I’ll write up a history.

Zungaron gives a formal definition to Vladimir Taltos as "the art of uniting with and controlling disparate forces of nature to produce results unavailable from, or more difficult to obtain with, any single arcane discipline." The Empire employs a Court Wizard to organize its attention to wizardry in accordance with Imperial intentions. Some Teckla believe that wizards keep their souls in a box to keep them safe. 2. A more localized term which presumably originated from the first meaning is used in Jhereg slang to refer to anyone who is especially good at exercising a specific and desired skill. e.g. "a safecracking wizard"
  • Wizards are the Tier 2 class of choice for those who wish to inflict copious amounts of damage on their enemies. Wizards have exclusive access to INT and magic attack power buffs, as well as curses and debuffs against enemy monsters. Wizards have a plethora of damage dealing spells available to them, as well as the unique ability to sacrifice their health points in exchange for mana points. Wizards are efficient solo players, but they also work well in parties serving as damage dealers.

  • In the 1950s, Wizard advertised one of their new refrigerators in a magazine. The ad showcased several features of their product: * Separate food freezer * Butter keeper * Moist-cold crisper The ad did not mention whether the Wizard fridge was lead-lined, like a similar model from King Cool. Indiana Jones was interested in buying a refrigerator and kept a clipping of the Wizard ad in his journal, next to a first day cover commemorating the presidential inauguration of Dwight D. Eisenhower, suggesting that Jones' search for an appliance was around early 1953.

  • Wizards attack using magic. Ranged attacks, along with magic-resistant armour, are recommended for fighting them. A wizard can be interviewed during the Barbarians v. Wizards court case.
  • The Wizard needs at least three spell levels in two other classes. The Wizard is able to use equipment that the previous three spellcasting classes cannot, and therefore, you may wish to save Wizard for last in Tales of the Unknown. However, if the Wizard-only equipment is not important to you, then you may want to consider a different sequence of class changes to optimize spell point and hit point gains later in the game (see Archmage). In the later games, this is not quite as important.
  • Wizards look like perfectly normal human beings. They are most often seen wearing modern clothes, such as shirts, pants, or suits, with the addition of a cape. They can also wear robes with a matching pointy hat. Their hair will also be combed in a modern hairstyle, although there are exceptions to this.
  • Wizard is a primary spellcasting class for Albion. They have the ability to cast bolts of powerful elemental magic from great distances, which deal heavy amounts of damage when successfully landed. They are also capable of casting damage in a radius around their bodies to ward off enemies and inflict elemental pain in the form of area effect spells. Wizards use elements of nature to damage foes, including fire, ice, and earth. Wizards are members of The Academy.
  • Wizards are scions of arcane magic. For a wizard, magic is less a talent and more a difficult, rewarding craft. In World of Warcraft, the Scarlet Crusade, Dalaran, the Defias Brotherhood, and the Syndicate all employ wizards.

Once a character has completed a period as a Wizard's Apprentice, it is assumed that the same Wizard will continue to instruct any character who wishes to continue in a magical career. The period of additional training necessary to become a level 1 Wizard is 1D3 months. At the end of this time, the character expends 100 EPs and (once the Cast Spells skill has been acquired) may cast any level 1 Battle Magic the Wizard knows. * Cast Spells: Battle Magic Level 1 * Identify Plants * Magical Sense * Rune Lore * Scroll Lore * Cast Spells: Battle Magic Level 2 * Evaluate * Herb Lore * Magical Awareness * Meditation * Cast Spells: Battle Magic Level 3 * Daemon Lore * Identify Magical Artifact * Identify Undead * Prepare Poisons * Arcane Language: Dwarfish or Elvish * Cast Spells: Battle Magic Level 4 * Manufacture Potions * Manufacture Scrolls * Humans and Elves: +4D4 points per level * Dwarfs and Halflings: +2D4 points per level * Hand Weapon * Wizard's Staff * 10D6 Gold Crowns * Wizard - of next level * Amber Wizard - level 4 (after taking all advances and skills for Level 3 Wizard) * Amethyst Wizard - level 4 (after taking all advances and skills for Level 3 Wizard) * Bright Wizard - level 4 (after taking all advances and skills for Level 3 Wizard) * Celestial Wizard - level 4 (after taking all advances and skills for Level 3 Wizard) * Daemonologist - level 1 * Elementalist - level 1 * Exorcist * Gold Wizard - level 4 (after taking all advances and skills for Level 3 Wizard) * Grey Wizard * Illusionist - level 1 * Jade Wizard - level 4 (after taking all advances and skills for Level 3 Wizard) * Light Wizard - level 1 * Loremaster (from level 4 Wizard only - Dwarfs only; must have two prerequisite careers) * Necromancer - level 1 * Rune Master

It is currently unknown how much damage these fireballs do, but they have been observed to do 19 damage to a Floaty Gross and 26 damage to a Skeleton Archer.
A varázslatok, melyeket wizard felfedezni készül, a világot alkotó természetes őserők manipulálásán alapszik.

This article is a . In fact, the older wizards tend not to understand how magic actually works at all, instead relying on centuries of lore to achieve their effects. Younger wizards enthusiastically experiment, pushing back the boundaries of knowledge and making new discoveries about the nature of the universe. They don't understand how magic works either, but have much more exciting words to explain why not. These often invoke images of particle physics (the events of TSOD are brought about by an experimental apparatus to split the "thaum", for example). Really, wizard magic is telling the universe what you want it to be like, in terms it can't ignore. This is very draining, due to the Law of Conservation of Reality (which states it takes the same effort to do something with magic as it would to do it mundanely). This is why most wizards store magic in a staff (with a knob on the end). The most complicated parts of most spells aren't the effects, but the baffles to ensure the wizard survives. Magic is treated by its practitioners on the Discworld in a similar fashion to how nuclear weaponry is treated in the real world: it does no harm for people to know you've got it, but everyone will be in trouble if it gets used. An eighth son of an eighth son is automatically a wizard. When a wizard nears death,(on the discworld, all practitioners of magic can foresee their own deaths, as well as seeing the character, Death) he formally passes on his staff to a wizard just born. Any children a wizard has will also be wizards. If wizard himself happens to have an eighth son, this child will be a "wizard squared" or "Sourcerer"; so called because he is a source of magic - a Sourcerer generates his own magic, and can therefore do just about anything with no effort. This is very dangerous, both because absolute power corrupts absolutely, and because it increases background magic levels considerably, which is why a rigid celibacy law for wizards means there are no sourcerers any more (although Sourcery records an exception). In the earlier Discworld novels, wizards (at least the ones of the Unseen University) are described as belonging to one of the eight orders of wizardry, currently named: * The Ancient and Truly Original Brothers of the Silver Star * The Brotherhood of the Hoodwink (The Hoodwinkers) * The Order of Midnight * The Venerable Council of Seers * The Ancient and Truly Original Sages of the Unbroken Circle * The Sages of the Unknown Shadow * Mrs Widgery's Lodgers * The Last Order (The Other Order) Despite their names, these orders are not all that ancient, their original names having been muddled by war and time. This is with the exception of Mrs Widgery's Lodgers, who stem from the early days of UU when the Tower of Art was the only building on campus and some students had lodgings elsewhere in Ankh-Morpork. Since the first few books, however, this system has had no visible impact whatsoever, and seems to have been forgotten. This may be something to do with the fact that all of the top wizards in each order were turned to stone in The Light Fantastic. Wizards are also classified into levels, which once corresponded to actual magical prowess, but now are rather more indicative of political power. This may be a parody of the "character levels" in many role-playing games, and has also become less significant in later books. The leader of all wizards, according to UU, is the Archchancellor of UU, the first among equals (the equals being the other eight-level wizards). There are a total of eight eight-level wizards, and the number becomes progressively higher as the level decreases. Presumably, as it is far better for those who have the skill to be tutored than to possibly cause horrendous damage to the space-time continuum, there is an unlimited number of first-level wizards. Because of these limitations, it is periodically common to ascend through the ranks by assassinating superiors, but under the assassination-proof Archchancellor Mustrum Ridcully this practice seems to have fallen out of favour, for a time. People without magical ability are "level zero". It was the opinion of many tutors at the time Rincewind was a student that he had a level that was possibly in minus figures, and that the overall magical potential of humanity would actually increase after his death.

  • The most basic enemies of the Wizard-type, these creatures are only found in Luca's route, although it's arguable if they are more dangerous than the Cloche's route Heavenly Messengers. However, both have in common that they are stronger by a large margin than most enemies found before them, and their skill set is as follows: Soul Drain, which hits a party member once an absorbs part of the damage as HP; Energy Drain, which does the same; and Explosion, which hits all party members once. Therefore, if the player doesn't want to waste time tearing through the extra HP they have stolen, they should be careful when fighting against these enemies.
  • The Wizard is at the highest echelons of Arcane study and still they thirst for more knowledge, though not only of the Arcane. Through intense study and practice they have become experts at controlling the power of Cold and Fire, evoking its mighty force to cause physical harm and heavy destruction. No other profession has the same power in a single blast as the Wizard and none can rival their ability to extend their spell effects to a wide area over multiple targets. In some situations one single spell from a Wizard can take down multiple opponents equal or (though more rarely) even above their level of power. In their quest to expand their knowledge and research the Arcane Wizards often travel great distances, they will usually accompany an expedition heading to new lands and dangerous areas, sometimes even crossing the barriers between the mystical planes. Wizards exclusively possess the ability to teleport onto the planes (with one restricted exception) and the capability to teleport others without being caught up in the resulting 'warp'. Druids have a similar expertise but they lack the precision of a highly focused mind and have no choice but to travel with their teleports targets. Wizards have one more exclusive spell for teleportation, in the translocation of a target to the point their (targets) soul is bound. For all their strengths Wizards don't advance in power easily, they take a long time to be truly effective combatants and are forced to rely on others for protection in many situations. In physical combat a Wizard is a weak opponent, they have sacrificed physical strength for mental clarity. They are the only dedicated Arcane profession that have no pets capable of fighting their corner in combat; and for a considerable amount of time lack any reliable abilities to slow an enemies movement (other than freezing them to the ground) or to speed up their own. Despite these disadvantages a Wizard can still become a powerful entity when alone but compared to many professions require a great deal of determination to reach such a point. Wizards are generally the best respected of all arcane spellcasters, since they usually have a measure of discipline that is uncommon among other arcane spellcasters, particularly sorcerers or warlocks whose very nature makes them comparatively unruly. Not all wizards are deserving of this reputation, however, and wizards can be as easily chaotic or evil as any other class. Prior to the Spellplague, wizards as a whole were associated with the good goddess Mystra, whom many worshiped, though Mystra's death has ended this. Others worship Mystra's evil adversary, Shar, the goddess of darkness, giving them an entirely different reputation. Elminster Aumar, the Sage of Shadowdale, is by far the best-known example of a wizard.
However, wizards who make it past the initial hurdle will find that they get to play with the most diverse set of weaponry in the game: their spells. Laugh at the archers, yawning as they hold on to the trigger of their guns, or nock their bows, while you toy around with fire bolts, dark eyes, teleports, raging roars, and a return spell to top it all off when you are done with the pretty effects. Given a lot of time and harvested money, you can even grow to hurl rocks at rogue hordes or dominate spiral kings and Yiths to make them very powerful personal slaves. Any god is good for a caster, except Mani. In particular, Itzpalt can bring a high Magic bonus, so those Darts hit harder; Jure's Will bonus can make casting Healing Rain and Healing Touch on pets more worthwhile; and Kumiromi can yield a Learning and Literacy bonus, along with more magical and unknown seeds to sprout those all-important spellbooks. Note that playing a wizard is much easier in Elona+: * Itzpalt accepts rods as sacrifices rather than staves, making it easier to gain favor. * The cost of spellbooks has been cut by one half. * Your spell stock will last three times as long. * Your spell potential for the spells you have memorized increases every time you sleep. * If a spellbook reading failure summons monsters into a town, they'll disappear after a few days (though they won't disappear if summoned in your home, the Truce Ground, permanent dungeons, and other places where dropped items are permanent).
Web applications, such as an airline booking site, also make use of the wizard paradigm to complete lengthy interactive processes. Oracle Designer also uses Wizards extensively. By contrast, expert systems guide the user through a series of (usually yes/no) questions to solve a problem, and tend to make use of artificial intelligence or other complex algorithms. Some consider expert systems as a general category that includes all problem-solving programs including wizards. Wizards were controversial among user interface designers when they first gained widespread use, because they encourage modal windows, which some consider antithetical to proper human interface design. Supporters of the wizard paradigm argue that compliance with what they consider to be arbitrary laws should be secondary to ease of use in interface design.

  • A consumate master of magic, the wizard is the most intelligent of all the classes. Their intelligence does not come at the cost of diversity as they excel in all forms of instant damage magic. Although a wizard can be difficult to work with due to his superior nature, the rewards can be great given that all wizards begin with a 4% (up to 12% with class-enhancing skills) bonus to all direct damage magic. -- In game description
  • Wizards are low levelled humanoids commonly killed for their drops of runes, talismans, and wizard apparel. Their attack is similar to Fire Strike, but weaker. As they attack with Magic, it is recommended to wear armour with a high magic defence bonus while fighting them.
  • In gameplay, it is a Tier 2 class that requires level 10 in Mage. There are several abilities, which are listed below
Wizards refrain from human contact, as they find us to be rather disgusting with our gods and social lives. However, some are willing to converse with the lowly peasants offer a chance to walk the path of superiority. If you wish to seek counsel with a wizard, they can be contacted on Reddit. Be warned though, this offer will not last forever, as the wizards grow more and more displeased with us.
  • Wizards hover above lesser Hive minions, bombarding Guardians with Darkness blasts. Such attacks are well-aimed and difficult to dodge out in the open, but because they are slow-acting, dodging by chance is made easier by observing their actions. Wizards can also summon a dark sphere of energy, which is frequently done when their shield is taken down. Hive that stand within are healed, but such energy is a poison to Guardians. It inflicts damage, dulls your perception, and slows you down. Wizards are protected by a Solar shield. When this shield is destroyed, the Wizard is vulnerable, but their ability to levitate makes them nimble targets in the air. They are also capable of a short teleport, though they do not use it often.
  • thumb|219px|Magnes, una especie de Wizard Los Wizards son como los NetNavis, ellos aparecen por primera vez en Mega Man Star Force 3, se pueden materializar al mundo real gracias al Hunter VG.
  • The Schools hunt down and kill any known wizards so as to maintain their monopoly on the secrets of magic; therefore, wizards are extremely rare. In the year 4131, the only known wizard in the Three Seas is Drusas Achamian. While Anasûrimbor Kellhus also is a practitioner of sorcery who belongs to no School, he is believed to be a prophet of the God and so is instead classified as a Shaman.
A ring of six or more short vertical landing struts just inside the aerospike engine faring ring would be deployed on landing. Though intended specifically for land or platform based launch and landing, the vehicle would be capable of emergency landing in water as well as on unimproved terrain. As with the SeaStar, four basic configurations would be developed; unmanned/disposable, manned/disposable, unmanned/reusable, manned/reusable –all with essentially the same form-factor but differing levels of sophistication in engineering. The unmanned form would feature a simple top-mounted cargo pallet under a disposable nose cone for the disposable form and an articulated retracting clamshell nose cone with the reusable form. This configuration would also support automated pressurized cargo transfer using cylindrical cargo stacks in a pressurized cargo module. The manned form would feature a large single-unit crew capsule with side-mounted hatch and top-mounted docking module under a hinged spherical nose cap. Several simple porthole windows would also be included on the unshielded ‘dorsal’ side. The crew capsule would be designed for whole detachment with an ablative shield at its base for ballistic re-entry, allowing for completely independent re-entry. This would be the normal re-entry mode for the disposable vehicle form and an emergency re-entry mode for the reusable vehicle in the event of on-orbit failure as well as for parachute ejection mid-launch. The manned version would also feature a novel form of deployable solar and radiator array shaped like a Japanese fan that would unfold along the dorsal side in a half-circle shape. A very advanced version of the Wizard may employ later air-breathing LACE (liquid air cycle engine) versions of the aerospike engine using conformal intake ducts above the engine ring. This would allow for a reduction in stored liquid oxygen mass, providing a greater payload fraction –assuming the added complexity of LACE systems can be incorporated without a great mass cost using future materials. Though about as simple as the SeaStar in basic design, Wizard may ultimately prove a more difficult system to develop, as suggested by the storeyed histories of its closest analogs in the Phoenix program. SeaStar has the advantage that, for many of its variants, it can employ simpler ballistic re-entry and parachute water landing even with large vehicles. For the reusable Wizard, there is no such option. High precision vertical landing must be mastered at an early stage with these more complex engine systems resulting in reduced mass fraction. But Wizard is ultimately a modest vehicle whose potentially radically reduced ground support infrastructure could afford an economy comparable to the SeaStar concept.
  • The wizard is one of the roles in NetHack. Wizards can be either neutral or chaotic, and can be humans, elves, gnomes or orcs. They are relatively poor fighters, but they are the best spellcasters in the game. The guidebook says of them:
  • Wizard is the leader of the empire in the Master of Magic. All wizards represent a certain combination a magic realms as can be seen from the table below.
  • The Wizard is a minor character in Regular Show. He made his debut in the Season 1 episode "The Power".
  • Wizard is one of the Advanced Classes and one of the five base Advanced Classes. This Advanced Class is from the Mage Base Class. Upon the completion of certain requirements and Growth Rings on a couple of Classes, players can become a Wizard and are able to unlock a new set of Skills. With enough Skills, Abilities, Class Traits, and upon completing certain requirements a Wizard can be promoted to Arcana Lord.
  • Clad in the silver robes that denote her station, an elf closes her eyes to shut out the distractions of the battlefield and begins her quiet chant. Fingers weaving in front of her, she completes her spell and launches a tiny bead of fire toward the enemy ranks, where it erupts into a conflagration that engulfs the soldiers. Checking and rechecking his work, a human scribes an intricate magic circle in chalk on the bare stone floor, then sprinkles powdered iron along every line and graceful curve. When the circle is complete, he drones a long incantation. A hole opens in space inside the circle, bringing a whiff of brimstone from the otherworldly plane beyond. Crouching on the floor in a dungeon intersection, a gnome tosses a handful of small bones inscribed with mystic symbols, muttering a few words of power over them. Closing his eyes to see the visions more clearly, he nods slowly, then opens his eyes and points down the passage to his left. Wizards are supreme magic-users, defined and united as a class by the spells they cast. Drawing on the subtle weave of magic that permeates the cosmos, wizards cast spells of explosive fire, arcing lightning, subtle deception, and brute-force mind control. Their magic conjures monsters from other planes of existence, glimpses the future, or turns slain foes into zombies. Their mightiest spells change one substance into another, call meteors down from the sky, or open portals to other worlds.
  • The wizard is a powerful spellcasting class. What wizards lack in combat prowess and armor (they may only wear light garments if they are to cast spells) they make up with a broad range of magical spells and abilities.
  • The Wizard [WIZD] class is a promoted class of magic users in the Shining series games.
  • Some wizards of whom have been featured in the series are Saladin, Avalon, Valtor, Nabu, Acheron, Brafilius, Taboc the Wise and the Wizards of the Black Circle.
  • A wizard is a practitioner exhibiting the fullest range of magical abilities known to mortals. They are considered to be the upper levels of power in comparison to mortals.
Whilst Wizards are potentially one of the most powerful classes in the game, they might be difficult for (new) players to keep alive during the early parts of the game. They are one of the physically weakest and most frail classes in the game (along with mindcrafters), and start with little armor to protect them early in the game. They are guaranteed to start with at least one offensive spellbook and a few magical items to compensate for this, though. They are weaker in melee than other classes — not only do they usually have poor strength scores compared to other classes, but they require twice as many marks as most other classes to advance in skill levels for all types of weapons (and shields). Of course, their problems with melee combat are irrelevant for those wishing to play Wizards that will only use spells and not physical force to win battles. When considering race-class combinations, there are two general ways to play a Wizard — either as pure casters that are extremely powerful with magic, or as average melee fighters that can tap into the natural arcane abilities of Wizards to learn a bit of magic to survive some difficult fights. Elves have great magical talents and thus can make extremely powerful Wizards, though elven Wizards are considerably frail and at particular risk of traps etc. in the early game. Drakelings, dwarves and ratlings can be sturdy Wizards with a decent chance of learning spells, whilst trollish and orcish Wizards are decent fighters which at least have more hope of learning and using spells than other classes. Gnomes stand out as a 'happy medium' due to their great magical talents and decent Toughness, and in 1.2.0 are one of the race-class combinations suggested by the game for new players[1].
  • A Wizard is a powerful, skilled and wise person who uses magic to effect change in his or her environment. Wizards tend to be respectful, compassionate, patient, intuitive and sensorial with a great deal of understanding of how things in this world operate, how people think and act and how to communicate on all levels with people and animals. Wizards have high levels of education (in pursuit of their craft), wisdom, and are spiritual in their own way, though not necessarily religious. Because Wizardry (the "craft" of a Wizard) in and of itself is not based on religion or founded on religious beliefs--many Wizards may practice their craft while still maintaining ties with their religion--ie: Christian Wizard. Unfortunately, due to the lack of tolerance and sometimes aggressive/violent behavior on the part of many modern day Christians, Christian Wizards (like Christian Witches) are often in hiding within their own Christian church and thus never reveal that they practice "Wizardry". A congregation may not even realize that their own pastor/minister is a Wizard, Witch, or Druid etc. in addition to being a Christian Pastor. There are different schools of Wizardry that offer a comprehensive curriculum on the path to becoming a well rounded Wizard. Within the curriculum may be included courses such as Druidry, Mythology, Literature, Philosophy, Psychical arts, Magickal Studies, History of Magick, Spiritual Alchemy, Practical Alchemy, Divination, Meditation, Mysticism... and much more. The average course of study can range 2-7 years. Classes are often taught by experienced & practizing Wizards some of which may be current or former college professors.
  • The Wizard is a Buzz Bee blaster that was released in 2015 under the Ultra-Tek sub-series. It comes packaged in the Wizard 2-Pack. It cannot be purchased separately.
  • The following are changes in the Wizard class from its listing in Paizo materials.
  • The Wizard is a Hero unit encountered in Dungeon Keeper and Dungeon Keeper 2.
  • Wizards are a rare breed of immortal magical beings that are near extinction. They can be either good or evil, though they possess no true allegiance. As spell and charm creators, Wizards are skilled at creating illusions and possess the power to teleport through the power of Spiralization, which is unique to them.
