Biography
  • Johnny Anderson is a former NASCAR driver from Palmdale, CA. He competed in nine Sprint Cup Series events in his career. Anderson's debut came in 1971, when he competed at Riverside. Starting 17th in the field of forty, Anderson lasted just thirty-four laps before an engine failure left him 29th. Anderon, though, recovered nicely with a four-race schedule in 1972 that left him a career-best 67th in points. He started off again at Riverside, this time keeping it on the track for a 19th place finish. He would add a career-best 17th place finish in his next start at Ontario. But engine failures in the next two races left him 27th and 42nd to end the year. Anderson scaled it down to a two race schedule in 1973, competing at both Riverside races. Engine failure disrupted his run in the January event, finishing 28th. But he ran well in the June event, completing most of the laps to finish 21st. Anderson's final two races came in 1974, when he yet again competed at Riverside. Engine issues, though, demised his efforts in both races, where he finished 20th in the January event and 28th in the June race. External Links *Stats
