To avenge his brother, Mordack captured King Graham's family- and the castle, and shrunk them and imprisoned them in a bottle in his laboratory on an island far from Daventry. Graham finds out that Mordack wants to feed his family to Manannan(who is now a cat). He also finds out that he wants Alexander to try to return Manannan back to his original self. Graham tracked Mordack to his castle. He later fights Mordack in a magic duel. As a last resort, Mordack transformed into fire and surrounded Graham, but Graham summoned a rain cloud, which poured rain on Mordack and extinguished him. Killing him for good. Mordack is considered as the most powerful villain in the King's Quest series. This is probably because it is stated that he is more powerful at magic than his brother, Manannan.

Sometime after, or possibly during these events, Mordack's brother, Manannan, was transformed into a cat by Prince Alexander of Daventry. Mordack was an extremely powerful sorcerer, but his mastery of the magical arts wasn't enough to return Manannan to his human form. For this reason, and to revenge his brother, Mordack was able to capture King Graham's family--and Castle Daventry!-- then shrink and transport them to his laboratory on an island far away from Daventry. This was not an insignificant feat. He imprisoned the castle and its inhabitants inside a glass bottle. King Graham tracked Mordack back to his castle. Mordack was finally beaten and extinguished by Graham in a monumental magical battle. Mordack was transformed into fire, and Graham summoned a rain cloud. Mordack was dead. Within the a year of having taken Cassima, he was slain, and she returned the Green Isles.
