| abstract | - Arol is a city ruled by "the Mad King". The king had a terrible temper, and a bad habit of ordering executions at the slightest provocation—or with no provocation at all. One day the king issued a proclamation that every child was to be thrown over the wall of the city of Arol and into the sea, his own son being the first to die. His queen visited a mysterious woman of the city named Hallita, who was actually a fairy in mortal form. She transformed the king into a child himself, forcing him to change his mind and recant his edict. ("The King Who Changed His Mind")
