  • To execute this strategy, the player should focus first stockpile large amounts of resources up into the thousands, especially wood, and keep constructing buildings that produces military units as much as possible near outlying areas. Once the player's settlement is heavily concentrated with military buildings, it is now possible to construct a series of outlying military buildings towards the center of the map. Once this is achieved, the player can now micromanage and start mass production of all key military units from as many buildings as possible. Once a sufficient army is trained, the player can now expand territory by mobilizing the army towards the enemy settlement while having Villagers swarm building forward outposts from behind. As the army encounters enemy fortifications, several options become available. If the enemy counterattacks with heavy resistance, it is best to focus all military units at a well protected location near the gates but still accessible to the enemy. Another option is to spread out forces over a wide area and swarm towards the enemy front from all sides regardless of the resistance. This strategy works best in two player games on smaller maps where bloody stalemates are less likely to happen. If used in longer games, expect major obstacles when working this strategy out with more than two opponents since it is much less effective on larger maps due to long distances and other players counterattacking.
