The device analyzes the speaker's brain waves and emotions as well as the words themselves, translating in sync with the speaker's enunciation and thus allowing communication with no time lag. The humans of Earth installed Eldar's language-analysis tools into their own communication and portable equipment soon after making contact with the Eldarians.

  • You can use the box below to create new pages for this mini-wiki. preload=Translator/preload editintro=Translator/editintro width=25 This mini wiki is a collaborative attempt to have text translated between languages. Though the native language used is English, the aim is to have a matrix of words, phrases and statements available in as many languages as possible.
  • The Universal Translator is first picked up on the first level of Unreal, Vortex Rikers. They were standard equipment for the guards onboard the ship. It allows the player to read various messages and events in the game by translating different languages. After you pick it up, it will be with you for the rest of the game with no need for replacements. It is useful for proceeding through the game as many messages contain helpful hints and clues to puzzles. This is also the main way in which the story progresses due to a complete lack of dialogue or cutscenes besides the ending movie. It is also given to the player at the start of Return to Na Pali, again with no need for replacements.
  • Translator is a man who appeared in "Fortunate Son".
  • The Translator is a character who appears in "Caffeinated Concert Tickets". He is of Asian descent, evidenced by his accent. He is friends with the Coffee Bean and also translates whatever he says. The Translator seems to be the only person who understands the Coffee Bean, as all he ever says is the word "coffee." He owns a chainsaw and is a Fist Pump fan just like The Coffee Bean, Mordecai and Rigby, and will do anything for tickets. The Translator also gave Mordecai and Rigby chamomile tea, "the sleepiest of all teas."
  • In Tunisia, a translator traveled with Charlotte to the site of an archaeological dig where she translated for her information about the dig site from one of the men working there. After gaining access to the dig site, the translator was shocked that the remains of a polar bear were found in the desert. ("Confirmed Dead")
  • Translator is a script for translating the content of pages between languages. It adds another button near the "edit" button, that when pressed, loads Google Translate. It automatically loads the content of the page as the text being translated, with the language being translated from being the default system language, and the language being translated into being the user's default language. It was initially designed by Deadcoder for the Code Lyoko Wiki's ESL population.
  • The Translator was Qasim Zaghlul's translator and interpreter during Quinn Worldwide shareholder meeting in Malta.
  • 200px|thumb|Translator - wizja Tony'ego DiTerlizzi Translatorzy (ang. translator) to wysłannicy bóstw neutralności (i niekiedy innych), przemierzający plany z niesamowitą szybkością i transportujący ważne wiadomości.
  • Invented by Foaly, the Translator is a "crescent-shaped nodule" that sits about the wearer's ear. It allows the wearer to understand Gnommish -- and, presumably, any other language being spoken, though that has not been proven. The device appears to have been created solely for use by non-fairies, as the People have a natural ability to understand any language being spoken to them and therefore have no need of a translator.

Kategoria:Sferowcy Kategoria:Gestorzy

The first and only time the Translator is seen being used is by Artemis Fowl in The Arctic Incident so that he can understand Gnommish, as apparently speaking Mud Man gives Julius Root a headache. The Translator hasn't been mentioned since The Arctic Incident, likely in part due to the fact that there has been no cause for anyone to need to understand or speak Gnommish, and also because Artemis has since become fluent in Gnommish; by The Lost Colony, he is able to flawlessly communicate with and understand the demons after landing in Hybras. He does, however, have a slight accent.
