  • Title and short intro here.
  • Whales are amongst the most mysterious, majestic, and fattest animals ever known to mankind. Their enigmatic obesity serves as a beacon to liberals world-wide, who -- perhaps recognizing some kind of kinship with these portly, beasts -- will stop at nothing to "publicize" the "plight" of these "endangered" fatties.
  • In the fanon universe of Naruto, whales can be seen in Miyama Island, the sacred home to the species. The only revealed whale up to now has been Hakugei, a big, white whale that made a contract with Ayumi Kisake.
  • Whales are large magnificent creatures. Much like the Dolphin they are mammals, not fish. Instead of gills or lungs, the whale breathes through a blowhole located on the top of its head. The biggest whale ever was a blue whale that was 29 metres long. The smallest was a Dwarf Sperm whale 2.6 metres long. Most whales eat 4 tons of Krill and Plankton but the Orca (Killer Whale) is a carnivore. There are many species of whale but here a just a few: Orca, Humpback, Blue Whale and the Sperm whale.
  • Muppet whales have appeared in several productions. * Wilkins and Red Diamond Coffee advertisements (pictured below) * The Muppet Show, episode 519 -- Molly and Melville * Muppets Tonight, episode 206 -- Sherlock Holmes (whale) * The Animal Show, Episode 202: Whale & Ant and Episode 310: Humpback Whale * Sesame Street, Elmo's World: Doctors (pictured) * Muppets.com, Animal Theatre -- Moby (pictured)

  • Whale are mammals found in the oceans on the planet Earth.
  • Whales usually represent bonus resources in ocean tiles.
  • The Whale is a magnificent beast. It swims through the ocean and is good for the environment. Whales help the ocean by preserving the food chain and whale feces serve as nutrients for plankton and other sea-worthy fish.
  • In scientific communities, whales are often called "crustaceans". This is due to their often barnacle-encrusted hide, which provides a natural defense against shark attacks, harpoons and close-range shotgun blasts. They are not to be confused with "cetaceans", which are the aquatic bugs often found in their natural habitat at Red Lobster restaurants.
  • On the week beginning the 19th of November 2007 a Japanese sailing fleet set sail with the aim of harpooning humpback whales for the first time in decades. Commercial whaling was stopped in 1986 by Lefties but Japan is permitted to whale in the name of scientific research. The fleet had instructions to kill up to 1000 whales including 50 humpbacks. The Captain states that he also intends to obsessively fixate on capturing a large white whale going on to say "This whale is a metaphor for that which we cannot control evoking man's struggle with fate but mainly it is a massive white whale."
  • Whales are one of 31 Rare Resources in the game and one of two resources in the ocean, with the other one being Fish. Usually, whales can only be found on sea maps a certain distance away from the shore. Whales can be gathered by Fishermen (built at the Dock) and give the following benefits:

Also note, that Metal is not gathered before the Classical Age.

The Captain states that he also intends to obsessively fixate on capturing a large white whale going on to say "This whale is a metaphor for that which we cannot control evoking man's struggle with fate but mainly it is a massive white whale." Some scholars cast aspersions on the huge amount of whale related research going on in Japan. Counter critics pointed to an ongoing and very very important research programme into whether whale meat tastes nice with teriyaki sauce which had still, at the time, proved inconclusive. Proponents of the Japanese involvement cited rising whale numbers, increased arrogance in whale population and the fear that whales may begin eating people like they did back in the Bible. This began the 'Justice for Jonah' appeal.
