  • A duel is started by walking into an enemy's area of influence. A duel circle will appear, and the first turn will begin. First, your hand appears on the screen, which is a list of pictures of seven random cards that you currently are able to use from your deck. Next, all the players/enemies pick the card they want to use for this turn. To pick the card you want to play, click on it, and then click on the player or enemy you wish to cast it upon.
  • Duels are formal combats that involve two or more opposing fighters. They can be as quick as a minute or last for hours and are sometimes regulated. Duels can be fights to the death, as is the case with most Agni Kai, or simply recreational spars. Duels are also used in training, both in the four bending arts and in specialized fighting styles, such as swordsmanship and chi blocking.
  • Duels are preset battles that consist of two people, called a challenger and a defender. There are four steps to a duel: 1: The challenger challenges the defender to a duel. 2: The defender chooses the time, place, and weapons. 3: The battle is fought. 4: The winner is chosen, and it is decided whether the loser lives or dies. Battles involving three or more people are called melees.
  • To add a duel please examine the example duel of Fred VS. Jack. That is the layout. See Duel Arena for more information.
  • Duels are games in which 2 Duelists try to use their Monster, Spell and Trap cards together to defeat their opponent.
  • To make a duel a player must send a request to another player. The latter must accept the request, and is then given the right to decide the type of the duel. At the beginning of the duel, the player will have sixty seconds to prepare for the duel. Once the duel begins, the Area effect is lifted from the two duelists.

At the beginning of the duel, the player will have sixty seconds to prepare for the duel. Once the duel begins, the Area effect is lifted from the two duelists. If the victory condition for the duel is not met within the time limit, the victor is chosen based on who had more Hit Points (HP) remaining at the end of the duel; however, the Hit Points are rounded in increments of five, thus minor differences in Hit Points will result in a draw. After a duel is concluded, a window indicating the winner will appear between the participants if they are within ten meters of each other. If the participants are farther apart at the end of a duel, then two windows will appear at the closest point to both the winner and loser separately.
