These weapons are categorized beyond the "smart" stage and are known by the nomenclature "brilliant." Scrap-Iron is methodical and precise. Imperfection in any form repels him. Perhaps that's why he wants to blow up the world.
- Scrap-Iron is the name of two iterations of the same character:
* Scrap-Iron (RAH) - the Cobra anti-armor expert from the A Real American Hero series.
* Scrap-Iron (Movie) - a similar version in the The Rise of Cobra movie tie-in toyline.
* Scrap-Iron (Renegades) - a M.A.R.S. scientist in the Renegades series.
- Brilliant but easily distracted, Scrap-Iron is one of the top engineers on the planet Junkion. Has a intuitive ability to envision the complete plans of a building or vehicle within his own mind, and to fit existing pieces of junk or scrap metal into corresponding components. Complex subspace generators in his forearms allow him to extend a multitude of tools in place of his hands. Though not a warrior, he can press these tools into service as makeshift weapons if necessary. Transforms into the traditional Junkion motorcycle, which mounts rocket launchers, his token nod towards self-defense added after the Decepticon invasion of Junkion.
- Scrap-Iron admires perfection above all things. He himself is perfect. The weapons he designs for his employer Destro are perfect. Everything else is imperfect. If his weapons are used to destroy this imperfect world...well, that would be just perfect.
- He first appeared in the Sunbow G.I. Joe cartoon in the "Revenge of Cobra" mini-series voiced by Michael Bell. He is also featured in the "Arise, Seperntor, Arise" mini-series. There, he is the inventor of the B.A.T. (short for Battle Android Trooper). He is with Cobra Commander when Doctor Mindbender meets with Destro and Tomax and Xamot on creating the Cobra Emperor. When Cobra Commander sabotaged the first attempt with a mutated virus, Scrap-Iron told Doctor Mindbender about it in exchange for $1,000,000 of gold serpentines.

Scrap-Iron takes part in Serpentor's invasion of Washington DC where he attacks the White House only to learn that the President and the Vice-President are out of town. Scrap-Iron reports this to Destro and Baroness.
