They not only had to be very strong, but they also had to be the best of the best when it came to lightsaber combat. There have only been around 500 Jedi Brutes in the history of the Jedi Order, it was considered a very high honor to be selected as one. Nearly all of the Jedi Brutes were killed when Order 66 was issued, of the victims included the most famous Jedi Brute, Jac-Al Deatl. Because of his speciesʻ natural strength, it was not very hard for him to become a Jedi Brute. Jac-Al Deatl was also the only known Jedi Brute to also be a Jedi Knight, a Jedi Guardian, and a Jedi General.
