South Island South Island South Island South Island
rdfs:comment
South Island is a region of Mobius that contains many of the Hill Zones - Green Hill, Emerald Hill etc. It is the home of Sonic the Hedgehog and the Freedom Fighters. The north of the island contains the Frozen Zone; the Frozen Zone is also the location of the North Cave, Sonic's hiding-place for the six Chaos Emeralds. South Island is also the larger of the two islands that make up real-world New Zealand. Population is just over a million, one-third of whom live in Christchurch with 20% of the remainder living in the country's territorially largest city, Dunedin, and a fair number in the country's geographical heart, "Sunny Nelson", and the Deep South city (led by Tim Shadbolt) Invercargill. Other notable towns are Blenheim, Ashburton, Timaru, and Queenstown. (Some sentimental folk would include Reefton in that list; it does at least hold a Southern Hemisphere record. Whale-watchers would include Kaikoura. Country and western singers would include Gore. Architects would include Oamaru because of the Oamaru stone. There are just so many great places in the South Island.) South Island is an island in the Acorn Archipelago, where Sonic the Hedgehog and his allies have battled Dr. Eggman on several occasions. Unlike most islands, South Island never remains in one place, and can move around the ocean surface. STILL UPDATING! THANK YOU! Kategoria:Do rozbudowania[[Plik:South_Island_S1_8-bit.png|thumb|South Island w zakończeniu 8-mio bitowego Sonica]]South Island (pl. Wyspa Południowa) to wyspa pojawiająca się w serii Sonic the Hedgehog. Według japońskich manuali leży ona gdzieś na Sonicowym odpowiedniku Oceanu Spokojnego. South Island was a tribe from Survivor 2002 (U.K.). South Island (jap. サウスアイランド Sausu Airando) ist ein Ort der Sonic the Hedgehog-Serie. The South Island is the larger of the two major islands of New Zealand, the other being the more populous North Island. The Māori name for the South Island, Te Wai Pounamu, meaning "The Water's of Greenstone" (greenstone being jade), possibly evolved from Te Wāhi Pounamu which means "The Place Of Greenstone". The island is also known as Te Waka a Māui which means "Māui's Canoe". In the 19th century, some maps named the South Island as Middle Island or New Munster, and the name South Island or New Leinster was used for today's Stewart Island/Rakiura. En Sonic Battle, se reveló que Central City estaba en esta isla, y en Sonic Chronicles se reveló que ahí s South Island (サウスアイランド Sausu Airando?) is a location in the Sonic the Hedgehog series. It is also the main setting of Sonic the Hedgehog (1991) and has made many appearances in the earlier games. South Island is known to be a trove of gems and ancient ruins, that supposedly shifts along the water due to some connection to the Chaos Emeralds. The island is also inhabited by animals.

South Island (jap. サウスアイランド Sausu Airando) ist ein Ort der Sonic the Hedgehog-Serie. Kategoria:Do rozbudowania[[Plik:South_Island_S1_8-bit.png|thumb|South Island w zakończeniu 8-mio bitowego Sonica]]South Island (pl. Wyspa Południowa) to wyspa pojawiająca się w serii Sonic the Hedgehog. Kolejne wystąpienie ma miejsce w grze Sonic the Fighters. Kategoria:Wyspy South Island was a tribe from Survivor 2002 (U.K.). STILL UPDATING! THANK YOU! There are just so many great places in the South Island.) From 2014 it will also be known (officially) as Te Waipounamu. Wai = water(s), pounamu = greenstone The South Island is the larger of the two major islands of New Zealand, the other being the more populous North Island. The South Island has an area of 151,215 km² (58,093 square miles), making it the world's 12th-largest island. Along its west coast runs the mountain chain of the Southern Alps with Aoraki/Mount Cook being the highest point, 3,754 m (12,316 ft) above sea level. The South Island is often called the Mainland (somewhat humorously) because it existed first according to Māori legend, and is larger than the North Island. About a quarter of New Zealand's four million inhabitants live in the South Island. The video games Sonic the Hedgehog, Sonic Chaos and Sonic the Hedgehog 2 (8-bit) are said to take place on South Island. If this is the same as the Sonic the Comic continuity, it would suggest that Marble Zone, Spring Yard Zone, Labyrinth Zone, Starlight Zone, Scrap Brain Zone and Turquoise Hill Zone are all on South Island. However, since Emerald Hill is said to reside here, it can be assumed that the geography of the two canons do not match. South Island is also the larger of the two islands that make up real-world New Zealand. South Island is an island in the Acorn Archipelago, where Sonic the Hedgehog and his allies have battled Dr. Eggman on several occasions. Unlike most islands, South Island never remains in one place, and can move around the ocean surface. South Island (サウスアイランド Sausu Airando?) is a location in the Sonic the Hedgehog series. It is also the main setting of Sonic the Hedgehog (1991) and has made many appearances in the earlier games. South Island is known to be a trove of gems and ancient ruins, that supposedly shifts along the water due to some connection to the Chaos Emeralds. The island is also inhabited by animals.
