Jarek Tharen, was a male Human Jedi Knight of the New Jedi Order. He trained as a Jedi, eventually attaining the rank of Knight and served the Order up until after the Battle of Kashyyyk when the Jedi Coalition split from Darth Caedus' Galactic Alliance. He was also ostensibly a part of the Five Worlds and later the Corellian Confederation movement, but soon cut ties. After the Battle of Kashyyyk and the formation of the Jedi Coalition, Tharen began to descend from the ideal Jedi path and left the Order, deeming himself a Gray Jedi.
