He's an eleventh-level warlord with expert archery, advanced combat, nobility and estates, and basic scouting and stealth. He wields a Nomad Blackbow. Lord Lorne was one of the robber barons that were raiding the lands where Emilia Nighthaven lived. Tharj Orcsplitter called him a \"rogue-in-lord's clothing\", and said that his true power was wealth. He had lots of gold, and was quite willing to spend it to gain power. Once Lorne heard about Emilia's efforts to protect their homes, he sent one of his servants, a rugged-looking man, to bribe her - a thousand gold initially, as a sign of good faith, and ten thousand every year, for as long as she lived. Emilia was insulted by the offer, and told the man to take the thousand gold back to Lorne, as she would not \"make friends with a killer\". The man agreed to deliver her message, but refused to take the gold, as Lorne would suspect him of not having delivered the message at all, and have him executed. He insisted that she should keep the money. Emilia defeated Lorne in battle, but it's not known what happened to him afterwards. Lord Lorne uses the same image and backgrund as Ajit."@en . Finding that they were unconscious on the street, he performs CPR on them (Sam first) and then carries them off (at their discontent) to his home. At first, Sam sorta sympathized with Lorne's obsession (though definitely wanted to keep his distance from) and tried not to hurt the big guy's feelings. But after Lorne's reckless disregard for the innocent Swedish and their blimp, he \"crossed the line\" in Sam's book and had to be arrested.
