Kralee
rdfs:comment
Kralees are a species of non-sapient, beetle-like organism native to either Aether or Dark Aether, but can open transdimensional portals through the use of the crystal on its back to shift it between the two worlds. To do this, the crystal harnesses energy used to fuel the creation of a warp portal. This is a defensive mechanism; however, it cannot control this process, and it thus spends its time in perpetual state of dimensional flux. They are not exclusive to one particular area but seem mostly confined to the Agon Wastes. Dark Visors make them much easier to locate. The Kralee is a beetle-like species of predatory insectoid. It can open transdimensional portals with the red-colored crystal on its back. However, it is stated that the creature has no control over this ability, despite this trait having apparently evolved for defensive purposes. Thus Kralees spend much of their time in a state of dimensional flux. The creature is encountered in Mining Station B, Agon Wastes. It can be seen easily using the Dark Visor. Their relatives are the Green Kralee, which are simply a mutant variety of Kralee.

The Kralee phases between dimensions as a defense mechanism. A crystal in its carapace gathers energy to fuel the creation of a warp portal. The process is uncontrollable, keeping the Kralee in constant dimensional flux.

n19:abstract
The Kralee is a beetle-like species of predatory insectoid. It can open transdimensional portals with the red-colored crystal on its back. However, it is stated that the creature has no control over this ability, despite this trait having apparently evolved for defensive purposes. Thus Kralees spend much of their time in a state of dimensional flux. The creature is encountered in Mining Station B, Agon Wastes. It can be seen easily using the Dark Visor. Their relatives are the Green Kralee, which are simply a mutant variety of Kralee. Its future seems bleak, as its powerful defensive measure has been cut short thanks to the collapse of Dark Aether. It therefore may soon go extinct.
