During the Lightmass Offensive, this Gear, along with the rest of Alpha Squad, was assigned to escort the resonator into the Hollow. Moving through Ephyra, Alpha became separated and lost communication with CIC. Delta Squad was sent to recover the resonator, and began eliminating the Seeders responsible for Alpha's communication problems. A remnant of Alpha, including the Gear, then radioed Delta and informed them of their situation; they had become pinned down in the Tomb of the Unknowns. Soon after, Pvt. Damon Baird, Gyules, and this Gear rendezvoused with Delta and Pvt. Augustus Cole, another surviving member of Alpha.
