He is the son of Mama the Hutt, and was also the brother of Jiliac, Pazda, Ebor, and Zorba Desilijic Tiure. Ziro is one of the only Hutts who have been heard to fluently speak Basic rather Huttese. Ziro was the husband of Gorga Desilijic Fortiure and the father of their son.

Ziro Desilijic Tiure was a masculine Hutt crime lord, a Vigo of Black Sun, and the uncle of Jabba Desilijic Tiure and the great-uncle Rotta, Kolluga, and Gorga Desilijic Aarrpo. He is the son of Mama the Hutt, and was also the brother of Jiliac, Pazda, Ebor, and Zorba Desilijic Tiure. Ziro is one of the only Hutts who have been heard to fluently speak Basic rather Huttese. During the Clone Wars, Ziro had made a deal with the Confederacy of Independent Systems in a plot to gain even more power in the Hutt clans. This plot involved kidnapping his grandnephew, Rotta, who was also Jabba's son. His plot was uncovered by Senator Padmé Amidala, and was arrested by Republic forces and taken to the Republic Judiciary Central Detention Center. Later on, the Hutt Council had hired Duros bounty hunter Cad Bane to free Ziro from Republic custody, during a hostage crisis and was taken to a prison cell in the Council's palace on Nal Hutta. After deciding that Ziro was too dangerous to be left alive, Jabba had hired Ziro's ex-girlfriend, Sy Snootles, to acquire a datapad that had potentially dangerous information to the Hutt Council stored in it's memory. Though Cad Bane and Jedi Quinlan Vos and Obi-Wan Kenobi would be hot on Ziro's trail, Snootles would soon kill Ziro at his father's grave. Ziro was the husband of Gorga Desilijic Fortiure and the father of their son.
