The Gyrocopter's first canonical appearance was technically Donkey Kong Country 2, though in its remake. Here, it was the main way of traveling to the worlds of Crocodile Isle quicker and faster, without having to defeat a boss to get to the map screen. It also served as the vehicle in Funky's Flights II's mini-games. In the mini-games, it's revealed that the Gyrocopter can drop bombs, shoot bullets, and has a grappling hook to hold onto various items exclusive to the mini-games, though had limited fuel. Since its introduction to the Dwarf military arsenal, Gyrocopters enabled Dwarf strongholds to keep in contact without the need to risk themselves by simply flying over the dangerous enemies that occupy the mountain passes. Eventually, many Dwarf Holds have since carved out many landing pads all across the mountain peaks of their surronding territory, from which a Gryocopter can land and get refitted for its next mission. In times of distress, Gyrocopters have been known to carry out emergency supply drops, where supplies and messages can be dropped from a Gyrocopter directly onto a beleaguered Dwarf settlement, enabling them to hold out for far longer periods and send word for help should the threat be far to overwhelming for even the Dwarfs to handle alone.[1a] In battle, Gyrocopters provide the Dwarfs with the speed and ability to strike anywhere on the battlefield without the need to directly risk the life of the pilot and the aircraft. Armed with a small rapid-fire cannon at the front, these aircrafts have proven time and again their effectiveness against the enemies of the Dwarfen race. In the past some - potentially mad - members of the Engineers Guild invented a Gyro Multiseater, to carry more than one Dwarf into the sky at time, but this creation was perceived to have little use amongst the Dwarfs military hierarchy.[1a] Die Gyrocopter gehören zu den Lufteinheiten und werden ausschließlich von den Menschen im Bündnis eingesetzt, außerirdische Völker wie die Exar-Kun, die Kertracks oder die Gorethar greifen nicht auf sie zurück oder kennen diese Technologie schlichtweg nicht. Jahrhundert her kennt. A Mosquito * CMX 50-B Mosquito * CMX 50-C Mosquito The Gyrocopter's first canonical appearance was technically Donkey Kong Country 2, though in its remake. It's next appearance was in Funky's Rentals of Donkey Kong Country 3. It was the only rent-able vehicle that could fly and did not rely solely on the water; it flew over all terrain, and because of this it can be used to find secret areas normally unreachable via boat, such as a Banana Bird Cave high in the mountains. However, it has a hefty price tag; all of the game's DK Coins must be collected and presented to Funky in order to get it. Kleb Zellock owned this gyrocopter, that he mostly used as a transport to sell Nergon-14 to the Galactic Empire illegally. Gyrocopter is a Cherritwo's ability. It can avoid the beams and stuff, it can avoid many moves. During the events of Frozen Throne, dwarves replaced their Gyrocopters with Dwarven flying machines. See Warcraft III Gyrocopter Quotes A gyrocopter, or autogyro, is a type of rotorcraft that uses an unpowered rotor in autorotation to develop lift, and an engine-powered propeller, similar to that of a fixed-wing aircraft, to provide thrust. Soldiers patrolling the jungles of a Western-opposed country used gyrocopters to scout for enemies. Lt. Solid Snake of FOXHOUND was forced to evade the aircraft during Operation 747. A Gyrocopter is a kind of flying machine that can be piloted by one of your henchmen. Gyrocopters can carry more coal than henchmen, they move faster, and they can be used to build structures on cliffs and plateaus that aren't accessible by walking. This is a good way to erect defenses and protect important structures like the Research Clinic and Genetic Amplifier that don't need to be accessible from land. The gyrocopter can also be used to airlift your units, but the gyrocopter henchman cannot build or repair structures or mine coal while airlifting a unit. In IC 1.0 and 1.1, only one unit may be lifted, although it was possible for more in later versions of the game. The Gyrocopter can be built from a Landing Pad; only one Landing Pad can be built at a time, and likewise only one Gyrocopter. Note that you must command a normal henchman to man the Gyrocopter after it has been built; it doesn't come with a pilot. Once in the gyrocopter, the henchman will not get out until landed again. If damaged, the Gyrocopter can be repaired by commanding it to return to the Landing Pad. Unlike regular Henchmen, the Gyrocopter may be attacked by Soundbeam Towers and Anti-Air Towers.
