A massive rail system, the Web is Egelion's primary means of mass transportation. The Web criss-crosses much of the nation, connecting to urban and rural areas of all kinds. The Web is owned by the government, and all trains are operated by the nationalised Egelion National Railways (ENR) The Web is the third episode of Beast Wars: Transformers. The Web was an intricate defense network constructed by the renegade smart AI Diana that acted as an intergalactic cyber-barrier against the unwanted intrusions of other AIs. Meant to both extend Diana's influence over the Covenant remnant and other elements of the former Covenant client races as well as to serve as a defense against intelligences in service to the UNSC or the Assembly collective, the Web was a network originating from dozens of computer nodes installed in warships, civilian vessels, orbital satellites.
