New Bastion Empire
rdfs:comment
The New Bastion Empire, also called the Bastion Empire or Bastion government, and nicknamed the "Bastion regime", was a state created after a coup d'état on Bastion, the capital of the Fel Empire, in 139 ABY. It was founded by General Jarahiya Haftiir, who became the Prince Regent of the Empire following the coup. The new government was mainly created out of the dislike of the nationalists for Empress Marasiah Fel, due to her essentially making the Empire a province of the Galactic Federation Triumvirate. As a result, the nationalists viewed her as a weak leader and possibly even a traitor. The nationalists were unified under General Haftiir, who led the coup against the Empress' government on Bastion, and founded the new Empire, beginning an internal conflict.
