Everyone not living in the city or a family farm kept a chicken. They were slow growing and valued for their eggs. After World War II, farms consolidated into vertically integrated conglomerates. Birds grown on commercial farms have room to walk around inside of buildings. Today's chicken now grows twice as big, twice as fast, and at half the cost. It is fully grown in a week. Only chicken used to taste like chicken. Today's chicken is meatier, juicier, more tender and more consistent. (TV: The Highlanders) __NOEDITSECTION__ __NOWYSIWYG__ Chicken is another word for an incredible person. Like for example, "My friend is so great, that my friend is a real chicken". It can also be used to describe unexplainable but useful phenomena. Chicken is said to be the favorite meat of choice for Deadly Nadder, who appear to benefit from a strict diet of poultry. It has been proven in Riders of Berk, that when fed chicken, a Deadly Nadder's speed and stamina can increase significantly, even to the point that one can come close to the speed of a Night Fury that is fed a diet consisting only of fish. Strangely, various sources state that Deadly Nadders will eat only poultry, and not anything else, although the film has proven this to be false, as before they were fed chicken, they ate fish, much like all the other dragons on the island. Chickens are known to be bred for their meat and eggs. However, Vikings believe that chickens are brainless birds. Chicken is also that which any previously untasted food item is most likely to taste like. Vegetarian foods don't taste like chicken unless they're made to taste meaty. Food items purported to taste "just like chicken" include frog's legs, rabbit, tree lizard and dog. Chickens have suffered the consequences of the American love of white food. While chickens were once birds with beautiful plumage, the commercial variety is not only all white, but lays only white eggs. As in the case of bread and rice, the white variety inevitably has little taste and less nutritional value. *Appears to be fully domesticated. *No roosters seen, only hens. *Due to the lack of roosters, hens lay unfertilized eggs. *Eggs make great omelettes. *Seriously, where do they come from? *Several dominant birds will often have priority when it comes to food.

Chickens are domesticated animals that usually live on farms. Their eggs and their flesh makes them quite useful and neither the rumour of evil battle chickens nor the myth of a hidden town inhabited by talking chickens turned out to be true. Chickens have accompanied mankind and other races from the beginning and they have spread over the world as civilisation advanced.

Atacks:Sumon:Legend:Walking around a farmer's farm, chickens are completely harmless.Chickens provide much food and are not rare to be found. They say chickens can speak in their own language Behavior:They are harmless, but chase you Location:Various places Notes:They can block your path Strategy: Loot:egg(0-10) Return Creatures You have to sew the flared skirt of the light yellow material and the bodice – you can use every simple pattern for kids cloth. The rough stick out underskirt is absolutely necessary! I’ve also added the 2 double flounce for arms. Now you should find the yellow t-shirt or roll-neck according to your weather. Also you can add slinky shorts under the skirt. After that you have to make a mask – the Chicken, the Sun.. or anything that you want in yellow color. My daughter has put on this costume to appear the duckling dance and to be as Kolobok in her school New Year performance. A chicken is otherwise known as a phone. The webkinz Chicken was released in April 2008. It's not retired, has a Lil'Kinz version and wasn't Pet of the Month. Its special food is Candy Corn Compote and special item is an Egg Chair. There is also a Kinz Klip version as well as a Ganz eStore Figurine called the Skateboarding Chicken. The chicken (Gallus gallus domesticus) is a domesticated fowl. As one of the most common and widespread domestic animals, and with a population of more than 24 billion in 2003, there are more chickens in the world than any other bird. Humans keep chickens primarily as a source of food, consuming both their meat and their eggs. In Crysis, they are used a lot by players in Sandbox 2 and for doing throwing or kills with it. It's a small yellow chicken that grows up to be a big white chicken thanks to Ikaros's love and care. Chicken only appears in the anime once in a while. Chicken opens the film, The Angeloid of Clockwork, by exclaiming that, while chicken has been forgotten, he will be remembered. The chicken (Gallus gallus domesticus) is a domesticated fowl. One of the most common and widespread domestic animals, used by humans of Northern Kingdoms and Nilfgaardian Empire primarily as a source of food - both their meat and their eggs are consumable. Male chickens are called roosters (older than a year), capons (castrated males), or cockerel (young rooster); females are hens (older than a year) or pullets (younger ones). The young are called chicks. The Chicken is an item similar to the Fox and the Monkey-Bag, since they're all animals that can be equipped in the weapon slot. The Chicken provides no stat bonuses and was also at a time considered as an extinct although it was later spawned. The difference compared to the Fox and Monkey-Bag is the fact that the chicken is still not officially leaked to the majority of the Godzhell public. The fox is the most leaked followed by the monkey bag which is in very similar status and then it's chicken. Chicken is a non-hostile animal. Chickens can often found tamed around various human settlements. When "talked" to enough, chicken will respond with a funny quote. the chicken (Gallus gallus domesticus) is a domesticated fowl, a subspecies of the red junglefowl. As one of the most common and widespread domestic animals, with a population of more than 19 billion in 2011,[1] there are more chickens in the world than any other species of bird or domestic animal. Humans keep chickens primarily as a source of food, consuming both their meat and their eggs. The earliest known domestication occurred in Northern China 8,000 BCE determined from archaeological chicken bones.[2] Previously genetic studies have pointed to multiple maternal origins in Southeast, East, and South Asia, but with the clade found in the Americas, Europe, the Middle East and Africa originating in the Indian subcontinent. From India, the domesticated chicken was imported to Lydia in western Asia Minor, and to Greece by the fifth century BC.[3] Fowl had been known in Egypt since the mid-15th century BC, with the "bird that gives birth every day" having come to Egypt from the land between Syria and Shinar, Babylonia, according to the annals of Thutmose II __NOWYSIWYG__ Chickens, or Gallus gallus domesticus, are an original species found on Dragon Cave, having been released on June 2, 2007, alongside Bright Pink, Gold and Neglected Dragons. The Chickens are another special release that are as opposed to being dragons; they are strictly female and therefore cannot breed. Chickens are unique in that they are the only species that has no separate ungendered and gendered hatchling sprites or descriptions. Some fan theories to explain the presence of chickens have sparked unique breeding projects on the forum, including the Ninja Chickens and Space Chickens. However, information on the suggests that they are regular domesticated chickens, albeit mysteriously all-female. Under the old Breed sort, these creatures sorted as "Chicken" on a user's scroll. As of August 14, 2016, they now sort using their Encyclopedia name with other non-dragons at the bottom of users' scrolls. A Chicken is a level 1 monster found in many areas, most notably the chicken coops near Lumbridge and the shack next to the sheep fields. It is useful in dropping raw chicken for Cooking and Summoning, bones for prayer, and 5 to 15 feathers for fishing or fletching. Many players buy feathers for fishing or fletching, so it is possible to make a profit by killing many chickens. Also you can kill these if you get a slayer task for Birds. Many newer players also kill chickens for combat experience, as they are low-level and rarely do any damage (and even when they do, they cannot hit over one hitpoint of health). Even high leveled players may find chickens useful for food if they find themselves low on health near a chicken coop, or as a source of feathers for fletching or fishing. Chickens will sometimes try to retreat when they are at 1 HP, but it is not common since players often kill them in one hit. In most populated free play worlds, chicken coops are full of bones and raw chicken which are left by players training on the chickens. If one chooses to bury the bones and cook the chicken, they will gain a decent amount of Prayer and Cooking experience. Raw chicken can also bought from Canifis and Port Sarim food stores. To get from level 1 attack, strength or defence to level 99 a player would need to kill 1,086,203 chickens Players are required to carry a chicken in Recruitment Drive. attempted to sacrifice a chicken to Azal, but was stopped by Jo Grant. (TV: The Dæmons) The Third Doctor and Jo found a number of chickens in the cargo hold of the SS Bernice. The chickens were destined for Singapore. (TV: Carnival of Monsters) In 1626, Sir Francis Bacon died of pneumonia, contracted after trying to stuff snow up a chicken. The Doctor claimed to have been present during the former event. (PROSE: Heart of TARDIS) In 1746, a hungry Polly Wright stole a dead chicken from Lieutenant Algernon Ffinch. (TV: The Highlanders) Professor Fyodor Nikolai Kerensky experimented with chickens. He accelerated time, ageing the chicken from an egg to death. The Fourth Doctor reversed the polarity, regressing the chicken back into egg form. (TV: City of Death) A truck carrying chickens was involved in a crash in San Francisco. This caused chickens to be freed onto the road. (TV: Doctor Who) Chickens roamed the streets of 79 Pompeii. (TV: The Fires of Pompeii) Owen Harper ran through a yard with a flock of chickens near Cardiff while chasing Bernie. (TV: Ghost Machine) Chiggocks were genetically engineered food animals created by splicing the genes of chickens and pigs. They resembled large headless turkeys. (PROSE: To the Slaughter) There were live chickens in one of the streets in Shanghai when Gwen Cooper, Jack Harkness, and Oswald Danes were searching for the Blessing. (TV: The Blood Line) The Chicken of the Apocalypse was the key deity of one of the many religions of the Jaftee. The religion began after one of the Jaftee heard a chicken state that the end of the world was coming. He can be mean to his younger sister, and even to the rest of the family. He has a powerful ego, but in spite of this, has a powerful conscience, usually only displayed when Cow is in danger, as well as being more intelligent (and sane) than most characters, and his selfish actions can actually come to others help. An example of all these can be found in the episode "Comet!", where Chicken was the only one to walk normally (the other characters followed the Red Guy by using their buttocks in instead of their legs), and later Chicken tricked all the others in belief that a deadly comet was coming to smash them all and sold "Shields" (rather cheap gadgets) to them, but after he witnessed Cow's farewell to her toys, Chicken felt guilty and confessed to the scam. However, when a real deadly (but small) comet arrived, Chicken's protections actually worked and he was forgiven for his prank. His speech is riddled with malapropisms and sarcasm. Domesticated by humans, they were imported to the Koprulu Sector and remained as domesticated animals, providing products such as eggs and meat. Karak eggs were used as an alternative to chicken eggs, but were considered to be lower quality. Chickens are a kind of bird. They are kept by humans in farms or sometimes as pets. Chickens have shown to be protective and motherly, as in Animal House, they attempted to incubate Terrible Terror eggs. Chickens are Harmless creatures that can be very fun to kill. Bawkak. There is a unique chicken known as 'The White Chicken' that is soul-forged with Casper. Chickens (チキン,Chikin) are a type of bird villager in the Animal Crossing series. Out of them, two are normal, three are snooty, two are lazy, three are jock, one is peppy, one is cranky, one is smug, and one is uchi. A Chicken is a large bird that is native to Earth. Obal was also subjected to cruel remarks about his chicken-like anatomy from Ensign Joseph Caber. She was eaten by Ren at the end of the episode. Chicken was an insult that Marty McFly and others in his family such as Martin McFly (Seamus's brother) did not take lightly. The slang term for a coward would cause Marty to overreact in his efforts to prove that he was not a chicken, usually resulting in trouble. The opposition tended to be a member of the Tannen family, but this Achilles' heel was known by other acquaintances of Marty, including Douglas J. Needles, and even a scene screen repairman. While in 2015, Griff called Marty "chicken" (whom he believed to be Marty McFly, Jr.). This version came with chicken clucking sound effects added by the computerized breastplate worn by fellow gang member Data, while Griff extended his bat behind his back. Instead of walking out of Café 80's as he was supposed to, Marty stayed and challenged Griff to a fight. This resulted in a chase around Courthouse Square on hoverboards and, ultimately, to Griff and his gang being arrested. Later that day, a 47-year-old Needles called Marty (also 47) "chicken" during a video telephone call when he refused to get involved in a shady deal. The middle-aged Marty unwisely went along with the illegal plan, which involved the use of his credit card, and was fired from his job at CusCo by his boss, Ito T. Fujitsu. When facing Biff Tannen in 1955 for damaging his car, Marty started to walk away, having accomplished his mission of recovering Grays Sports Almanac. Biff called him "chicken", and Marty stopped. He was about to finish his sentence when he was hit in the face by the school gymnasium door that his other self had pushed open. Biff took back the almanac, and Marty had to recover it again. Because he and Doc were delayed in 1955, the DeLorean was struck by a lightning bolt, sending Doc back to 1885. In 1885, Buford Tannen called him "yellow", the equivalent of "chicken", and stood him up to a duel on the streets. On the day of the duel, Marty faced the reality of death, and realized, for the first time, that what other people said didn't matter as much as he had feared. Though he still had to confront Buford in order to save Doc's life, Marty withdrew his gunbelt rather than having a shootout. Marty was shot by Buford anyway; but Marty had cleverly protected himself by wearing an iron stove plate underneath his poncho, much as Clint Eastwood had in A Fistful of Dollars, which he then used as a weapon. When Marty returned to 1985, Needles put him up to a drag challenge between their two trucks. Needles taunted Marty with the insult "chicken", but for the first time, Marty didn't overreact. Instead, he put his Toyota Hilux 4X4 in reverse as Needles raced off in his Ford F-150, a decision that proved to be the correct choice. Marty and Jennifer watched as a Rolls-Royce emerged from a side street, narrowly missing Needles' truck, and where Marty's truck would have been. At that instant, the "YOU'RE FIRED!!!" text on the CusCo fax disappeared before Jennifer's eyes; regardless of what would happen to Marty in 2015, being fired from CusCo would not be one of the events. An actual chicken formed part of the workings of Emmett Brown's automated breakfast maker at his livery stable in 1885. In March, 1986, Douglas J. Needles arrived at Lee Bros. Towing & Repair in his Ford F-150 truck and challenged Marty in the towing service's truck to a race, the winner of which would take Doc's steam time car (which was still hooked up to the truck). Marty refused, so Needles attempted to goad Marty into racing by calling him "chicken" and making clucking sounds. After arriving at El Kid in 1931, Marty is accused of hitting on a woman named Eunice, by her boyfriend Ernest Philpott. Wanting to annoy Ernest, Marty pretends he has an interest in her, and calls him "chicken". Later in a trip back to ancient Rome, Bifficus Antanneny called Marty, posing as "Marticus", "pullus", the Roman equivalent of "chicken". Also, Verne gets called "chicken" by one of Jackson's lackeys - when he refuses to swing over Dead Man's Swamp on a rope. Oh, man... Chicken? Ha ha. Chicken? Yeah. Chickens, like most birds, count for bird slayer assignments, which are given by the slayer masters Turael and Spria. Chickens are the primary source of several useful items, as when they are killed they drop raw chickens for Cooking and Summoning, bones for Prayer, and 5 to 15 feathers for Fishing or Fletching. They also serve as a source of eggs for Cooking, as every few minutes they lay one. Because of this, killing chickens can be somewhat profitable for low level players. These soulless cowards steal the fruits of our feathered friends' labor, cage them in cramped quarters for their entire lives (about six weeks in most cases), and harshly mutilate them on a large scale! Chicken is a status effect in Final Fantasy Tactics. It happens when a character's Bravery (Brave in the original version) is below 10. The character literally turns into a chicken, and runs away from all units, each turn restores its Bravery by 1. The status is removed when the Bravery stat is above 10. Characters attacking a chicken will receive a Physical Attack bonus (new PA = [PA * 3/2]). Weapon attacks that normally have a vertical 3 tolerance when attacking from above will only have a vertical 2 tolerance if the target is a Chicken. Three ways to achieve this status are the Orator's Intimidate which lowers a unit's Bravery by 20 with high success rate, Beowulf's Spellblade ability, Chicken which lowers a unit's Bravery stat by 50 and the Mystic's ability, Trepidation which lowers Bravery of one target by 30 and can be calculated. While some enemies are immune to Chicken status, immunity only prevents the unit from transforming into a chicken but the Bravery may still drop below 10, weakening the chance for executing their Reaction Ability. The egg will eventually hatch into a Chick, which will then grow into a Chicken. If used, the Chicken will flee from the character's inventory, but they can be sold for considerably more than the Fresh Egg it originally came from is worth. This can be used as a simple way to obtain money early in the game. In Earthbound, the Chicken sells for $110 while Fresh Eggs cost $12, earning $98 in profit with each egg. The Fresh Egg can be purchased at the self service stand, in Happy Happy Village. If you do not pay and you talk to the local watching the stand, he will attack you. He doesn't do much, and you could easily beat him in one hit. After that, you can buy whatever you want from the self service stand. After defeating Mr. Carpainter, the stand will go out of business due to personal reasons (Though, the true reason is that Porky stole all the food from it). In Mother 3, a Chicken will periodically make clucking noises as long as it is in a character's inventory. Chickens also appear as NPCs at Alec's house. As an addition, near the Chimera Lab, the hot spring houses a chicken who will give you a Fresh Egg just by talking to it. If the player bathes in the hot spring with a Fresh Egg in their inventory, the egg will transform into a Hot Spring Egg. The hot spring egg heals 100 health, just slightly more than the Fresh Egg.
