El Zombine o Combine Zombie, es un zombie creado como resultado de la infestación del Headcrab en un soldado transhumano de los Combine. Debe ser observado que solamente los zombine controlados por los headcrabs normales aparecen en el episodio uno. Alyx acuña el término “Alizombie” como la unión de un “zombi” y de un “Soldado de la Alianza”. Los zombines son más rápidos que los zombis normales, pero son más lentos que los Zombis Rápidos. Son más fuertes que sus contrapartes normales, (apuntando a la cabeza, costarían 2 disparos dobles de escopeta) debido a su armadura intacta en la batalla y los cuerpos casi mecánicos.
