The Committee was a top secret think tank put together by the President of the United States. Its members consisted of wealthy businessmen who invested millions in order to reap billions from the acquisition of alien technologies that would be incorporated into their product lines. They met at an underground secret location where they plotted the rise of their power base. They were responsible for an assassination attempt on Senator Robert Kinsey and framing Colonel Jack O'Neill. The Committee were all later apprehended due to the actions of Major Samantha Carter who infiltrated the group which led to their arrests. The Committee is an upcoming comic series authored by BZPower member Fighty. The series will have a heavy focus on plot and character development, with some obligatory comic relief. Fighty cites The Adjustment Bureau as his initial inspiration for the series, but it also has other influences such as Fringe, The A-Team and 24. The Committee will consist of 12 episodes, the first of which will be released on February 12, 2012. The Committee is a gang of slaves mentioned in The Icebound Land. These slaves are dressed in warmer clothes and slightly better feed. Due to these advantages, they control the other slaves that work in the yard, and distribute warmweed to the ones that don't listen. Egon is their leader. The Committee is a rogue organization within the American government and military. They were the power behind Manticore. Elizabeth Renfro, who worked for the Committee, made an intentionally vague reference to their "other projects".

After Eyes Only exposed the location of Manticore's Washington base to the media, the Committee had the Manticore program discontinued and the facility burned down. They subsequently arranged for federal agents such as Ames White to hunt down the surviving Transgenics and cover up their existence. White's public exposure of the existence of Transgenics was not in line with the Committee's goals - but rather those of the Conclave he truly served.
