Healer Healer Healer Healer Healer Healer Healer Healer
rdfs:comment
A healer is the support that keeps the Tank and fellow comrads alive, by throwing cures onto their party. The term Healer generally denotes somebody who is able to provide health to himself and his party. While most professions have some skills available to heal at least themselves, monks (and somewhat less Restoration Ritualists too) are generally the most effective healers for a party, so for many people the term "healer" is equivalent for "monk". Not defenseless by any means, Healers use deadly Words of Power and Touches of Power to smite their enemies. Healers can also use a unique ability called Deathwalk, which turns them into the living dead, able to deliver a monumental amount of damage. In Diablo I and II a Healer is an NPC in town that can heal players, as well as their hirelings and minions (in Diablo II). The process of healing goes automatic; the player merely needs to speak with the healer and his or her life and mana will be restored. Healing will also remove any other negative debuff such as Poison effects or Curses. Healers are units capable of restoring the hit points of other units. This can turn the tide in battle, as well as save the resources needed to train replacement soldiers. Every game in the Age of Empires series features at least one healer unit: The support class of the game, they can heal single targets or in a AoE, apply resistance buffs, ressucite others and themselves, pretty pesky and work as a pet on the group/party. Questa funzione può essere svolta da: * File:IconSmall Druid.gif Druid (Restoration) * File:IconSmall Paladin.gif Paladin (Holy) * File:IconSmall Priest.gif Priest (Discipline o Holy) * File:IconSmall Shaman.gif Shaman (Restoration) Klingon doctor Antaak was disowned by his father when he decided to become a healer. Martok, on the other hand, offered Dr. Bashir to include his deeds as Worf's healer when asking Keedera himself to write a song about his glorious fight against the Jem'Hadar. (ENT: "Affliction"; DS9: "By Inferno's Light") Senva, from the Vulcan Medical Institute, was a prominent healer, nominated for the Carrington Award in 2371. (DS9: "Prophet Motive") Dr. Julian Bashir as well as Voyager's EMH also used the term healer sometimes to refer to a medical doctor. (DS9: "The Passenger"; VOY: "Critical Care") Healers can be found in most towns, for a small fee they will restore the body and spirit of your entire party. Useful if your PC or pet get enchanted negatively usually by Touch of Weakness special action from undeads. Positive enchantment will be not removed when using this service. Eating their corpses will display "You feel as you have been corrupted." flavor text and also has chance to gain darkness resistance. In Elona+, they can also remove cursed equipment which is being equipped by player. Cursed equipment which isn't equipped will be not be removed from its curse. The Healer is a new unit in Stronghold Crusader 2. The Healer can slowly heal one unit at a time. A healer is someone who's powerset contains a power that effects the health of a teammate. These powers can be either in the form of a PBAoE heal, direct target heal, or Targeted AoE heal. Some sets are more laden towards this though with several powers towards healing, usually both a PBAoE and a direct target. A good way to judge if something at least semi qualifies as a healer is if they are capable of working towards any of the healing badges, all of which require the healing of damage done to another player. Healer is a white female that went with Kirby and Meta Knight through the Dimension Gate to find King Dedede in Kirby Dimension Gate. While there, she uncovered some robes of a White Mage, which she wore and gained the ability to use healing magic. She is one of the only non-playable Kirby series characters. The Healer sells salves and potions. On his first quest for the Ambrosia, Kratos encountered a mysterious healer who aided him in his quest. While making his way through a cave, Kratos came across the healer, who told him he would not succeed in his quest to save Calliope. Angered by his statement, Kratos grabbed the healer by the throat, who held Kratos back by giving him the Flames of Apollo. He warned Kratos the Flames would only aid him, not protect him, but his warnings were disregarded by Kratos. He quietly told Kratos that it was in fact the Gods he should fear. Healerit parantelevat muita ihmisiä groupissa/raideissa... Luokka:Termit The Healer was an Immunoglobulin general who fought in the constant war against the Macro-viruses on Mimosa 3. During one confrontation with the viruses, they suffered many casualties and it was one of the very few left. The fear that afflicted it inhibited its abilities, and so it fled the planet. The creature found its way to Earth and hid. It was found by Father Chadwick Vita, who thought it an angel and took it into his care. It healed the sick people Father Vita brought to him and gained a reputation as a faith healer. Those who possess the Gifts of Healing or Mind-Healing (or both) are commonly taken into Healer's Collegium, when found, and given proper training to become a Healer. Healers come in certain levels, which determine the power of the individual based on what level they are, but this level is not one given to them as in the case of Bards (see below), but rather earned and self-determining in nature. Apprentice - Journeyman - Master - Adept The vast wildernesses of Britannia, though rich in beauty, also hold hidden dangers capable of causing travelers injury or illness. Bold knights frequently incur serious wounds. Poison and plague also take their toll. Fortunately, medicine is advanced in the treatment of just these problems. Healers can turn back the ravages of swamp poison. Healers are people who can heal others or themself. Healers were magical practitioners that specialized in treating injury or sickness due to supernutural causes. Healer (いやしのこころ) is an ability introduced in Generation V. Eight Pokémon have this ability, one is a Mega Pokémon. The title of Healer is an honoured and respected role within Vulcan society. It was used to describe those members who are skilled in the arts of healing. Whether it applies to a sentient individual or even an animal. These practicers of medicine were the equivalent of Doctors. (TAS episode: "Yesteryear") They were noted as being the most formal and controlled of all Vulcans. This was because they had to be as they had the strongest ESP and had to deal with sick minds as well as sick bodies. A circle of healers were also used to seek the truth of a matter from a persons mind in a process known as Verification. (TOS novel: The Vulcan Academy Murders) Healers are a vital addition to Blood society because they are the ones who heal the physical bodies. Unlike Black Widows who are healers of the mind, Healers are instinctually drawn to the art of healing the body. They have an inborn knowledge of the methods and theories they should be using, but additional training is required for society to consider them "fully trained" and thus fully trusted to act with the authority of medicine on their side. Healer Queens are the most common dual-caste for females. Healer is a Fallout, Fallout 2 and Fallout Tactics perk. Healers are good natured divine spellcasters who use their gifts to help the sick and injured. A healer will never refuse to tend to a wounded, good aligned creatures if able and some even extend this favor to enemies and strangers. Healers rarely take to the front lines of combat and prefer to stand back and aid their allies with healing magic and divine blessings. Healers tend to be higher-level pirates who can withstand numerous enemy attacks, while the others fight without fear of being defeated easily. Or lower level crewmen who need to stay clear of the fighting while helping their teammates. Before a major fight, like boarding flagships or entering a dangerous area, a healer can quickly attune the members of the crew who are the most vulnerable. As a healer, should the target of their healing kill an enemy, they actually gain a Reputation reward depending on how much they healed the other player. The healer is a vital part of any campaign. A party featuring a well rounded healer will make it further because of him, period. The thing about a healer is that there are so many ways to be a healer. Outlined below will be several different ways to create, play, and advance your healer in the post nuclear world. Like the spell First Aid, this arte allows the user to heal an ally with a small portion of HP. It replaces First Aid in Tales of Eternia, being viewed as an innate ability earned through mastering one's chi rather than a spell, although it still requires a short spellcasting delay. In this game, it is conceived as a means of healing allies quickly while the dedicated magic users take the required time to cast their own more potent healing spells. Healer is treated the same way in Tales of Symphonia, with the added concept of recovering a greater amount of health to allies that are closer to the caster. The greatest potency of healing is achieved when Regal Bryant casts Healer on himself. Healers are gifted and powerful spellcasters who draw power from nature, faith and the spirits. Regardless of the source of their magic, they do not deal with the tainted energies of the arcane. Instead, healers find their power in the world around them or in the spirits or Eternals they venerate. Healers are the heart of a community — and of an adventuring party. They use their powers to heal the wounded and bolster the spirits of those around them. The most experienced healers become epic healers. Healer type classes always have a large portion of healing/resurrection/buff skills. A healer uses "focused intention to influence biological systems" with the purpose of "alleviating symptoms, arrest progressive disease and accelerate recuperation from illness" (Sparber, Crawford & Jonas, 2003, p.140). In Rolemaster the Healer is a playable profession, as is the Lay Healer, Elemental Healer and Elemental Physician. Healer is a recurring Water spell in Grandia. It appears as a Water-elemental spell and heals a large amount of HP from a single party member. The initial class of the Elven race from levels 1 to 50. After level 50, they can become a priest or a templar. Healers are a primary healing class, with spells based heavily on intelligence and psyche. Healers are professional supporters of a deity. You can buy healing from them, or donate money, which can result in a favor granted by their deity. Don't be too cheap, though, as that might anger the respective god. In order to acquire the Healing Role, you must select Nature, Sorcery, Electricity, Celestial or Water as your power set. Once you reach level 10, you will automatically acquire the Healing Role. In the Healing role (and your natural form) all Health restoration and damage prevention effects you trigger are increased by 65%. All bonuses from Weapon Skill Trees stack, regardless of what weapon type is currently equipped. Starting at level 10, a player is allowed to spend skill points in multiple weapon skill trees. Healer enemies will release a green gas that restores hitpoints to injured enemies. The Healer, as its name suggests, is a Mystic class focused on healing. There are no known Arts classed as Remedies that deal damage which makes Remedies Resist a useless bonus (it doesn't affect healing). How to Obtain: This class is a straight upgrade from the Mystic starting classes for characters using Remedies. Getting this from Combat type classes requires either INT significance, or Mystic only skill group significance. Upgrade Options: If Mystics are kept as the only significant skill group: If Items were trained to become a significant skill group, then these options also open up: Item (Category Page) Healers practise and utilise Healing magic, a branch of magic devoted to improving the physical and mental condition of a being. Healers heal other player characters in battle with generic skills such as First Aid and Healer skills such as Heal and Party Heal. The Healer- Somewhat classic. Hmm. The Healer is one of the initially available human units, and one will automatically join Marona's party at the start of the game. She is a recovery-orientated unit and will start with the Heal skill, eventually raising it to its highest 4th tier level. The Healer has high RES with her other stats being balanced but low, making her best suited to the use of RES reliant skills to reflect her healing nature. She is most proficient in the use of Healing skills, with Status as support should you wish to teach her buff and debuff skills. She can also dabble in Nature skills in a pinch. She is best suited to using staves, canes, and other RES orientated weapons. Teaching her skills like Blinding Light or Punish early on can also help with raising her level faster, as well as making her into a re thumb|Taureńska uzdrowicielkaUzdrowiciele to utalentowani i potężni czarownicy, któzy czerpią moc z natury, wiary i od duchów. Healers are NPCs who provide healing services to players at a cost based on there level. They restore all HP for the same price regardless of the player's current amount of HP. A Healer is located at every arena on the map and is paired along side a Merchant. Healers were created at the same time the arenas were as a means for players to quickly restore their HP for dueling purposes. The Healer is one of the roles in NetHack. Healers can be humans or gnomes, and are always neutral. While the concept of a healer is ubiquitous, parts of the healer’s game, such as the quest, are based on Greek legends. The NetHack encyclopedia says of them: ... and from the guidebook: ヒーラー:グループにおける役割の一つ、回復役。回復魔法などで味方の体力を回復したり、 状態異常を治したりする役割を担うクラス。 "Ah, Jackie, Jackie, you're a small-timer. A roof crawler, a poke pincher, a nickel and dime drifter with salt in your dreams and ashes in your pocket. Don't cut that wire...Jackie, don't open that window. You won't be able to jimmy yourself out as easily as you got in. That's not the big score in there. It's the Twilight Zone." Angol szó, jelentése gyógyító. Virtually nothing is known of the past of the man known only as the Healer before he joined the underground community of mutants known as the Morlocks who lived in "The Alley", a huge tunnel located beneath Manhattan. The Healer was amongst the few Morlocks that managed to escape the massacre of their community by the superhuman team of assassins known as the Marauders. The Healer was dispatched to Muir Island, home of the genetic research station run by Moira MacTaggert, to tend to the wounded survivors of the massacre. Later, the Healer sought out the Morlocks' former leader, Callisto, to enlist her aid in resuming leadership of the Morlocks following the death of the usurper, Masque. Rejecting the Healer's request, Callisto was attacked by the Morlocks and both she and the Healer were in Any unit which is in the same stack with at least one Healer unit (or is itself a Healer) will regain lost File:Icon Hits.png each turn at a significantly-improved rate. This allows units or entire stacks to regain their strength and be ready for more combat in short order. The Healer ability has only one version, which adds 20% to the healing rate of the unit and all others stacked with it. The article below explains how this 20% bonus is applied. The Healer has the highest Chi of all the classes and is one of two character classes able to buff other players, and the only class that is able to heal other players. The main drawback of the Healer class is its low Attack and little to no defensive abilities beside their buffs, forcing many Healers to take great care during a fight. This title changes according to the language of the server on which RuneScape is played, as shown below: Healer is a trophy. The Healer is a class that citizens of Habitica can select when they reach level 10. Healers have a high defense against damage and gain experience and mana quickly. Their skills allow them to heal themselves and other players in their party, provide their party with a defense buff, and reduce the redness of tasks to reduce the amount of damage the tasks deal to them. They are valuable allies to have to boost health in battles against strong bosses.__TOC__ A "Healer" is a group member that has taken it upon themselves to make sure no one in a group dies. The Healer is a fictional class for Stick Ranger. They are similar to the Priest class in that they use staves. Unlike the priests, healers can heal other characters via the Heal stat, as well as enhancing their basic stats (adding extra LP, lowering AGI, increasing range, etc.) within the effective range of the Healer. Their AT is always locked at dealing only 1-1 AT, meaning they're weak and are strictly for support only.

Neutral Abilities Air Abilities Water Abilities Some towns contain these invaluable places of aid where one may go to be healed when suffering from grievous wounds. Remember to heal thy companions also, for a healthy party ensures survival in the wild regions. The Healers are the only ones who may cure victims of the noxious venom inflicted by the inhuman denizens of the land. Healers have shoppes in many cities and villages, and in some castles and keeps. Bold knights frequently incur serious wounds. Poison and plague also take their toll. Fortunately, medicine is advanced in the treatment of just these problems. While it is hard to say any price is unfair for saving a life, some healers are known for their reasonable prices and others are not. Skara Brae's healer has been known to heal even those who cannot pay at all. Few health problems are beyond the ken of the healers, whether disease, wounds, or poison. Some healers are even experimenting with the concept of resurrection. There have rumbled persistent rumors of magical resurrection techniques being used by extremely adept mages within closeknit, secret groups. There is still some controversy over whether such techniques should be pursued, but Lord British is known to have supported the research at every turn. Many who succumb to injury or illness have their conditions worsened and their purses lightened by a healer. The wise traveller knows that sickness and injury is rooted chiefly in the mind and that only through self-discipline can pain, illness and injury be overcome. The vast wildernesses of Britannia, though rich in beauty, also hold hidden dangers capable of causing travelers injury or illness. Luckily, many towns have professional people trained in the medicinal arts. Healers can turn back the ravages of swamp poison or heal wounds earned in battle. Some physicians claim that their healing arts have been enhanced and augmented by magic, to the point they can resurrect the dead! Nature Abilities

"Ah, Jackie, Jackie, you're a small-timer. A roof crawler, a poke pincher, a nickel and dime drifter with salt in your dreams and ashes in your pocket. Don't cut that wire...Jackie, don't open that window. You won't be able to jimmy yourself out as easily as you got in. That's not the big score in there. It's the Twilight Zone." (Category Page) The Healer is a fictional class for Stick Ranger. The Healer has the highest Chi of all the classes and is one of two character classes able to buff other players, and the only class that is able to heal other players. The main drawback of the Healer class is its low Attack and little to no defensive abilities beside their buffs, forcing many Healers to take great care during a fight. Healer (いやしのこころ) is an ability introduced in Generation V. Eight Pokémon have this ability, one is a Mega Pokémon. The support class of the game, they can heal single targets or in a AoE, apply resistance buffs, ressucite others and themselves, pretty pesky and work as a pet on the group/party. They will need to attack the enemy at least once to be able to open the loot drop after the enemy is defeated. The term Healer generally denotes somebody who is able to provide health to himself and his party. While most professions have some skills available to heal at least themselves, monks (and somewhat less Restoration Ritualists too) are generally the most effective healers for a party, so for many people the term "healer" is equivalent for "monk". Upgrade Options: If Mystics are kept as the only significant skill group: * Wizard: highest Mystic skill is Psionics, INT41+ * Bishop: highest Mystic skill is Remedies and at least 2 Mystic skills trained to level 7+, INT41+ * Scholar: requires Item/Mystic balance, INT41+. This class can be a little tricky if Items are accidentally brought above Mystics. Using Herbs or Potions runs the highest risk of changing into an Item-related class, and will result in Scout or Bard if the balance is missed. * Sage: highest Mystic skill is Hexes and at least 3 Mystic skills trained to level 7+, INT47+ * Thaumaturge: highest Mystic skill is Invocations or Evocations and at least 3 Mystic skills trained to level 7+, INT47+ * Commander: highest Mystic skill is Wards, INT53+ Training another significant skill group (preferably Weapons) can result in a Mystic + Combat class, provided that none of the other pure Mystic classes' requirements are met. This can only be done on the PC: * Mysticknight: highest Mystic skill is Invocations or Evocations, STR41+ or INT41+ * Cavalier: highest Mystic skill is Remedies, STR41+ or INT41+ * Druid: highest Mystic skill is Hexes, STR41+ or INT41+ If Items were trained to become a significant skill group, then these options also open up: Item * Bard: highest Item skill is Potions, STR41+ or INT41+ * Thief: highest Item skill is Explosives, STR47+ or INT47+ * Alchemist: highest Item skill is Shards, STR53+ or INT53+ Item + Combat (PC only) * Scout: highest Item skill is Herbs, STR41+ or INT41+ * Hunter: highest Item skill is Lotions, STR47+ or INT47+ * Wanderer: highest Item skill is Traps, STR47+ or INT47+ The Healer is a new unit in Stronghold Crusader 2. The Healer can slowly heal one unit at a time. The Healer is a premade class, one of 21 in The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion. Teaching her skills like Blinding Light or Punish early on can also help with raising her level faster, as well as making her into a reasonable powerful attack unit. Healers have an high average confinement time and a low-average movement range, making them a good candidate for healing in-battle throughout the main game. They're usually best summoned later on, should their skills become needed as tougher foes approach. Her owl equivalent is the Owl Sage and her Putty equivalent is the Putty Shaman A Healer is an important until to remain summoned on Phantom Isle as she can fully restore HP, SP, and revive fallen units between battle, for a small fee. She can also restore units that have been over killed (struck again when already dead) by sacrificing an item, or reincarnate them using a Changebook or Egg. The only other unit with this ability is the Owl Sage. thumb|Taureńska uzdrowicielkaUzdrowiciele to utalentowani i potężni czarownicy, któzy czerpią moc z natury, wiary i od duchów. Używają oni swoich mocy by leczyć rannych i wzmacniać swych towarzyszy. Szamani przyjmują pragmatyczne podejście do życia i śmierci, więc prezentują różne charaktery. Any unit which is in the same stack with at least one Healer unit (or is itself a Healer) will regain lost File:Icon Hits.png each turn at a significantly-improved rate. This allows units or entire stacks to regain their strength and be ready for more combat in short order. The Healer ability has only one version, which adds 20% to the healing rate of the unit and all others stacked with it. The article below explains how this 20% bonus is applied. There are no less than 13 units in the game possessing the Healer ability, most of which are Shamans and Priests of various Races. 3 are Heroes possessing this ability by default. There is no known way of adding the Healer ability to any unit that does not already possess it by default. Note that Fantastic Creatures from the File:Icon Death.png, as well as Undead units, do not heal naturally and cannot benefit from healing in any way. The healer is a vital part of any campaign. A party featuring a well rounded healer will make it further because of him, period. The thing about a healer is that there are so many ways to be a healer. Outlined below will be several different ways to create, play, and advance your healer in the post nuclear world. Rejecting the Healer's request, Callisto was attacked by the Morlocks and both she and the Healer were injured in the battle. Seeking refuge with the superhuman mutant adventurers known as the X-Men, the Healer gave the final measure of his power to heal Callisto, leaving him a lifeless husk. Healer enemies will release a green gas that restores hitpoints to injured enemies. Healer is a recurring Water spell in Grandia. It appears as a Water-elemental spell and heals a large amount of HP from a single party member. The initial class of the Elven race from levels 1 to 50. After level 50, they can become a priest or a templar. Healers are a primary healing class, with spells based heavily on intelligence and psyche. Healers are people who can heal others or themself. The Healer- Somewhat classic. Hmm. Healers practise and utilise Healing magic, a branch of magic devoted to improving the physical and mental condition of a being. (TOS novel: The Vulcan Academy Murders) As a young woman Selar found that she was not a very strong telepath, and as a result she became a physician instead of training to become a healer. (TNG novel: Metamorphosis) In 2371, Healer Senva was nominated for the Carrington Award. (DS9 episode: "Prophet Motive") It should be noted that, while the Vulcans primarily use this term to describe this profession, other races such as Human have been known to describe practitioners of alternative medicine in this fashion. (TNG episode: "Sub Rosa") Furthermore, in the ENT episode: "Stigma" the Vulcan medical personnel are referred to as doctors. This is possibly done so to avoid confusion among other races or perhaps that the field of 'doctor' and 'healer' are two different fields. __TOC__Healers form the core of all divine spellcasting organizations in Kalimdor and Eastern Kingdoms, from priests of the Holy Light to druids of the wild to shaman. Druids are present in the Alliance and the Horde, as it is a prevalent path among both night elves and tauren. Humans, dwarves and high elves become priests of the Holy Light, while night elf priests honor Elune, the Moon Goddess. Rumors also tell of priests among jungle trolls and the Forsaken, but what powers they venerate are unknown. Shaman are common among draenei and tauren, but also dwarves, trolls, goblins, pandaren, and orcs Druids are usually neutral in alignment, primarily concerned with keeping balance in nature and monitoring the wild for intrusions or disruptions in the natural order. Priests follow many faiths, but they tend toward good alignments throughout Azeroth; evil priests are rarely encountered, though the Scourge and Burning Legion certainly have their worshippers. Shaman use powers of the elements, and are mostly neutral or good alignment. Not all healers use divine magic. (RotH #?) Some are known for using mundane materials such as potions, ointments, and bandages through alchemy, first aid or other means. These represent a healer profession, rather than a class. The most experienced healers become epic healers. This title changes according to the language of the server on which RuneScape is played, as shown below: ヒーラー:グループにおける役割の一つ、回復役。回復魔法などで味方の体力を回復したり、 状態異常を治したりする役割を担うクラス。 Like the spell First Aid, this arte allows the user to heal an ally with a small portion of HP. This arte is converted into a self-enhancement with zero spellcasting delay by Hermana Larmo from Tales of Innocence, while Jude Mathis provides this healing effect to all allies within a small range around himself with the same lack of spellcasting delay in Tales of Xillia and its sequel. Jude can extend this arte into Immaculate Healer if he is equipped with the "Second Artes" skill in both games. Healer type classes always have a large portion of healing/resurrection/buff skills. At some point in 1669 it sensed its enemy nearby, but stayed at the church and continued to heal the sick at Father Vita's request. The Doctor came to the church while investigating the apparent outbreak of the Black Death, and immediately realised the healer's origins. He was soon followed by the Macro-viruses, who attacked the Church to destroy him. The Doctor urged the healer to be brave again to save Father Vita and the others and its powers were restored. It immediately divided and formed an army, which destroyed the viruses. Father Vita asked it to stay with him, but the healer left to fight its war. The Doctor took it into his TARDIS to heal his companion Martha, and took it to its home planet while the new army followed. He encouraged them to fight and to win. (COMIC: Black Death White Life) In order to acquire the Healing Role, you must select Nature, Sorcery, Electricity, Celestial or Water as your power set. In PVP, Health restoration and damage prevention effects are only increased by 25% in Healer role. Healers were magical practitioners that specialized in treating injury or sickness due to supernutural causes. Healers and Mages function on the same system. As there are hedgewizards & herb witches in Mages, there are similarly hedgewizards and herb witches in Healers. These are markedly more common, but in the case of these, what is uncommon is for them to realize their limitations and exact skills, and capitalize on them, but when they do capitalize on their own abilities and accept their own limitations, hedgewizards and herb witches can be extraordinarily useful. Of those more powerful than this, however, the order is much the same, again, as for Mages: Apprentice - Journeyman - Master - Adept Healer-Adepts are extraordinarily rare. They are far less common than Mage-Adepts, comparatively, and the sheer scope of what they can do makes them exceptionally valuable. Mind-Healers are even rarer as Mind-Healing is a rarer Gift than normal Healing, and therefore a Mind-Healer-Adept is valued higher, still, than a Healer-Adept. However, a Mind-Healer-Adept is also of exceptionally limited scope of use, but there's nearly nothing of mental disorder and trauma that a Mind-Healer-Adept could not repair. Mind-Healing is similar in scope and ability as Empathy. An example of this is Talia's ability to help heal during the Arrow's of the Queen. Frequently a Mind-Healer also has Empathy but the reverse is also true. They are rarely found alone. Healers are units capable of restoring the hit points of other units. This can turn the tide in battle, as well as save the resources needed to train replacement soldiers. Every game in the Age of Empires series features at least one healer unit: The Healer is one of the roles in NetHack. Healers can be humans or gnomes, and are always neutral. While the concept of a healer is ubiquitous, parts of the healer’s game, such as the quest, are based on Greek legends. The NetHack encyclopedia says of them: ... and from the guidebook: Healers are wise in medicine and apothecary. They know the herbs and simples that can restore vitality, ease pain, anes- thetize, and neutralize poisons; and with their instruments, they can divine a being's state of health or sickness. Their medical practice earns them quite reasonable amounts of money, with which they enter the dungeon. Healers heal other player characters in battle with generic skills such as First Aid and Healer skills such as Heal and Party Heal. A healer is the support that keeps the Tank and fellow comrads alive, by throwing cures onto their party. Not defenseless by any means, Healers use deadly Words of Power and Touches of Power to smite their enemies. Healers can also use a unique ability called Deathwalk, which turns them into the living dead, able to deliver a monumental amount of damage. In Rolemaster the Healer is a playable profession, as is the Lay Healer, Elemental Healer and Elemental Physician. They are valuable allies to have to boost health in battles against strong bosses.__TOC__ The vast wildernesses of Britannia, though rich in beauty, also hold hidden dangers capable of causing travelers injury or illness. Bold knights frequently incur serious wounds. Poison and plague also take their toll. Fortunately, medicine is advanced in the treatment of just these problems. Healers can turn back the ravages of swamp poison. Klingon doctor Antaak was disowned by his father when he decided to become a healer. (DS9: "Prophet Motive") This title apparently does not apply to all Vulcans who practice medicine, as Fer'at in ENT: "The Expanse" and the Vulcan doctors in ENT: "Stigma" used the title of Doctor. Some Humans have also used the title of healer to describe a person who has medical training, often self-taught, but may not have the formal education of a doctor. Felisa Howard was a healer on Caldos colony until her death in 2370. Her granddaughter Beverly Crusher, while under the influence of the anaphasic lifeform called Ronin, temporarily resigned her Starfleet commission to follow in her grandmother's footsteps. (TNG: "Sub Rosa" ) Dr. The Healer sells salves and potions. Healers are a vital addition to Blood society because they are the ones who heal the physical bodies. Healers are often thought to be much like Queens, especially in their single minded tendency to think their own life is less important than all those around them. Because of this, Protocol demands that any unmarried Healer is required to have an escort to accompany her, so she doesn't harm herself while she performs her Craft. It would be too easy for a Healer to completely drain herself in seeking a healing, as their self preservation instinct suffers. Healer Queens are the most common dual-caste for females. A "Healer" is a group member that has taken it upon themselves to make sure no one in a group dies. Healer is a Fallout, Fallout 2 and Fallout Tactics perk. A healer uses "focused intention to influence biological systems" with the purpose of "alleviating symptoms, arrest progressive disease and accelerate recuperation from illness" (Sparber, Crawford & Jonas, 2003, p.140). Healers are professional supporters of a deity. You can buy healing from them, or donate money, which can result in a favor granted by their deity. Don't be too cheap, though, as that might anger the respective god. Druid (Druida) - A Restoration Druid erőssége a folyamatosan gyógyító varázslatok (lásd: HoT). Bőr ruházatot visel, hátránya, hogy fa formában tud csak gyógyítani, mely formában a lehetőségei korlátozottak.
