The Order of the Sith Lords, also called the Sith Order, was created in 1,000 BBY out of the remnants of Lord Kaan's Brotherhood of Darkness. It was based on the principles found in Darth Revan's holocron, from which was formed the Order's principal doctrine, the "Rule of Two". This incarnation of the Sith relied mostly on treachery and stealth tactics to achieve their goals.

The Order of the Sith Lords, also called the Sith Order, was created in 1,000 BBY out of the remnants of Lord Kaan's Brotherhood of Darkness. It was based on the principles found in Darth Revan's holocron, from which was formed the Order's principal doctrine, the "Rule of Two". This incarnation of the Sith relied mostly on treachery and stealth tactics to achieve their goals. After the Order's leader, Darth Sidious was uncovered by the Jedi Order to be the Supreme Chancellor of the Galactic Republic, the Order joined with the Confederacy of Independent Systems to form the Sith Confederacy. The Order was then replaced by the New Sith Order in 4 ABY, which broke the "Rule of Two" set up 1,000 years prior.
