Underboss
rdfs:comment
Investigating the Crime Bible and Intergang's new "Cult of Crime", the Question recruits a new hero to find and interrogate the Intergang Underboss to discover the location of a sacrifice that is said to soon occur. Underboss is a monster located in Rundown Stage in Silent Detriot * Level: 155 * Attack Power: 45,000 - 55,000 * Experience: 450,000 * Human Type * Magic: none The Underboss is an incredibly powerful, both socially and physically, criminal in the Watchmen universe who is briefly mentioned in the original comic and fully appears in the videogame Watchmen: The End is Nigh. At the start of the game he escapes from Sing Sing prison during a riot, and while pursuing him Rorschach and Nite Owl find that he has seemingly murdered two innocent news reporters, which they confront him with upon cornering him at a construction site, and the villain insists that he is innocent of this particular charge. An Underboss is the second in command of a family and generally the Don's son, but can also be a very trusted Capo, who may be more able to become boss. Notable Underbosses included Michael Corleone, Johnny Tattaglia, Bruno Tattaglia, Rico Tattaglia, Victor Barzini, Charlie Trapani, Toothy and Salvatore Stracci. Underboss or Vice-Leader or Second In Command is the second highest rank in a gang just right behind the leader. The Underboss can make decisions but has to inform the boss to gain his/her approval. The Underboss is often related to the Boss. Carl Johnson was a Vice-Leader of the Grove Street Families while his brother Sean Johnson is the leader. During a gang war an Underboss is mostly targeted by other rival gangs and so is the Don and his Consigliere. The reason they are mostly targeted is because they are the leading members of a gang will prevent the gang of getting a new leader due to the Underboss being next in line to being the Leader. Underboss was a powerful criminal boss who was a major enemy of Rorschach and Nite Owl II during their time as partners. He is briefly mentioned in the comic, and is the main villain in the first half of the video game Watchmen: The End is Nigh. As seen during the boss fight against him, Underboss is extremely Capo Bastone or "Sotto Capo", known as the "Underboss" is second in command to the Capo Crimini. The Italian Mafia has an additional rank above boss known as the capo di tutti capi (this position was filled in the U.S. by Salvatore Maranzano in the 1930s, but is non-existent today in the American Cosa Nostra. The position is debated for the Sicilian Cosa Nostra). The power of an underboss greatly varies; some are marginal figures, while others are the most powerful individuals in the family. The underboss is often a relative of the current don and is appointed by the boss himself. The underboss is in charge of all of the capos and is usually first in line to become acting boss if the boss is imprisoned or dies. There are normally no more than two underbosses in a family, if there's more than one at all. Underboss was a title in the Black Sun crime syndicate. Rynscar was an Underboss who lived during the last years of the Galactic Empire and was based on Nar Shaddaa. Underboss is a monster located in Rundown Stage in Silent Detriot * Level: 155 * Attack Power: 45,000 - 55,000 * Experience: 450,000 * Human Type * Magic: none Capo Bastone or "Sotto Capo", known as the "Underboss" is second in command to the Capo Crimini. It is a rank in the American and Italian Mafia. The Underboss is usually a family member, such as a son, that will take over the family if the don is sick, killed, or sent to prison. In the American mafia, it is the second highest rank a member can achieve, the highest being boss. Traditionally they run day to day affairs of the family. In some crime families, the appointment is for life. If a new boss takes over a family already with an underboss, he may marginalize or even murder him. On other hand, if a boss receives a prison term, the underboss may become acting boss. As bosses often can expect to serve large periods of time in prison, an acting boss will often become the effective don. Even with the boss not in prison, sometimes the underboss will gain so much power that they will be the effective head of the organization, and the boss will become a figurehead. This occurred most notably in the mid 1980s with longtime underboss Aniello Dellacroce in the Gambino crime family, widely regarded among the American public and law enforcement as the most powerful criminal organization in the United States in the 1970s and 1980s. An underboss is likely to have incriminating information about the boss, and so bosses often appoint people close to them to the underboss position to protect themselves. In most families, the underboss arbitrates many of the disputes that arise. Depending on the seriousness of the problem, he may or may not consult with the boss. Some conflicts are immediately bucked up to the boss. In those cases, the underbosses usually sits in and offers his opinion. In either event, everyone knows that the ultimate authority rests at the boss level. This sometimes chafes the ego of an ambitious underboss and can lead to problems. Monetary compensation is received by the underboss in various ways. For example, he may be involved as a partner in several rackets and thus get a cut. In addition, several capos may pass their envelopes through the underboss on their way to the top. He takes a percentage before passing the remainder to the boss. Additionally, a boss may give a slice of some of his family's rackets to his underboss. However he makes his illegal earnings, it is a significant enough amount to make his position one of envy, especially when prestige and the possibility of additional advancement are weighed. Underboss was a title in the Black Sun crime syndicate. Rynscar was an Underboss who lived during the last years of the Galactic Empire and was based on Nar Shaddaa. The Underboss is an incredibly powerful, both socially and physically, criminal in the Watchmen universe who is briefly mentioned in the original comic and fully appears in the videogame Watchmen: The End is Nigh. In the fight, Underboss repeatedly runs up staircases while dispatching his minions to fight the heroes for him, but when he does fight he proves to be a very worthy opponent, with incredible strength, very high HP, and a flamethrower apparatus carried on his back. After being beaten, Underboss begins to explain what he does know about the murders, only to be shot in the head by a mysterious sniper and launched several stories to the ground. Miraculously, Underboss survives, again showing how strong he is, as a newspaper seen during the ending states that he is in a coma and not dead, and his mention in the comic implies that he is still alive in 1985. In reality, the reporters killed were Woodward and Bernstein, who in real life would eventually expose Richard Nixon's corruption. The Comedian killed them and framed Underboss as part of his secret work for Nixon. The underboss (also known as sotto capo or capo bastone) is the second most important position in a crime family, directly beneath the Don himself. The underboss is usually appointed by the boss himself. The underboss is in charge of all of the capos and is usually first in line to become acting boss if the boss is imprisoned, while also frequently seen as a logical successor. The Underboss is the second most important position in a Mafia crime family directly beneath the don himself. The underboss is often a relative of the current don and is appointed by the boss himself. The underboss is in charge of all of the capos and is usually first in line to become acting boss if the boss is imprisoned or dies. There are normally no more than two underbosses in a family, if there's more than one at all. Underboss was a powerful criminal boss who was a major enemy of Rorschach and Nite Owl II during their time as partners. He is briefly mentioned in the comic, and is the main villain in the first half of the video game Watchmen: The End is Nigh. In 1965, he was captured in his hideout, located in sewer, and was put in prison. In 1973, however, he broke out of Sing Sing during a riot (with the help from Jimmy the Gimmick), but was set up for the murder of Woodward and Bernstein.. The whole Underboss escape turned out to be a part of a plan to eliminate both reporters, the would-be informers of Watergate scandal. His mysterious partner, who set him up and organised the murder of the reporters, was most likely the Comedian himself. As seen during the boss fight against him, Underboss is extremely physically strong, to the point he could be considered superhuman. He was able to run very fast with a flamethrower on his back, to rip off a metal part of construction site, and had immensely high HP. His fists could send a man flying away. After being defeated by Rorschach and Nite Owl, Underboss was about to reveal who set him up, but was shot in the head by the Comedian and fell to his apparent death. However, a newspaper headline seen immediately after in the game's ending states that Underboss was in a coma and not dead. In addition, in the comic, Rorschach hypothetically asks Moloch if Underboss was behind the plot to kill the masked adventurers, meaning he was still alive in 1985. Investigating the Crime Bible and Intergang's new "Cult of Crime", the Question recruits a new hero to find and interrogate the Intergang Underboss to discover the location of a sacrifice that is said to soon occur.
