The Mentalist tells the story of Patrick Jane, an independent consultant with the California Bureau of Investigation (CBI), who has a remarkable track record for solving serious crimes by using his razor sharp skills of observation. He also makes frequent use of his mentalist abilities to lead witnesses or offenders into offering the actual facts of the case, as known only to them. Within the Bureau, Patrick Jane is notorious for his blatant lack of protocol and his semi-celebrity past as a psychic medium, whose paranormal abilities he now admits he feigned. Patrick Jane's role in cracking a series of tough high-profile cases is greatly valued by his fellow agents. However, no-nonsense Senior Agent Teresa Lisbon openly resists having Patrick Jane in her unit and alternates between reluctantly acknowledging Patrick Jane's usefulness and blasting him for his theatrics, narcissism and dangerous lack of boundaries. Lisbon's team includes agents Kimball Cho, Wayne Rigsby and rookie member Grace Van Pelt, who all think Patrick Jane is a loose cannon but admire his charm and knack for clearing cases. In the third season, Jane comes to suspect a mole inside the CBI, who is working for Red John. When a Red John associate is set on fire in his jail cell and a CBI agent is framed as being Red John's mole, Jane devises a plan to lure out the real culprit. After the episode Lost in Parking Space, Part One aired on November 15, 2006, Drawn Together went on a year long hiatus and didn't return until October 4, 2007, airing the episode Lost in Parking Space, Part Two. This would contradict with events within the episode. In these episodes, Xandir makes T-shirts for everyone on their field trip that read "Drawn Together Shopping Trip 06", referencing to the year that this is happening, and so in Lost in Parking Space, Part Two, they're still wearing those shirts and referring to it as "06" when it is 2007. This season is the only season to contain episodes without musical numbers. These episodes would be Lost in Parking Space, Part One and Nipple Ring-Ring Goes to Foster Care.

V (2009) Season 3. While speaking to the press at WonderCon 2011 in San Francisco today, AX grilled V executive producer Scottsdale's Rosenbaum about whether or not there will be a season 3 of V: “We do not know about a third season at this point,” However, if there is a V Season 3, Rosenbaum is excited by all the possibilities that the season 2 finale “Mother’s Day” left open. “I am most excited about it more than I have ever been, because [V] has gotten to a place at the end of this season, the closest to what I wanted it to be. Now we have a situation where you have a realistic human resistance that actually has a possible shot of defeating the Visitors. Whereas before it was a motley crew of four or five with a priest, an FBI agent. It was sort of like the rebels in Libya fighting – they are never going to win. The only way they have a chance is with an organized military complex behind them. I like that. That is very exciting to me. Now we can see them make a real dent in Anna’s plans.” Rosenbaum also adds that the characters have been pushed to extremes, which will also make for some great drama too. “I pushed the characters to a place emotionally where I am excited about it. Erica is going to find out her son was murdered and what that’s going to do to her will be fascinating to watch. Other characters have died, the stakes are high, Anna knows she’s almost been betrayed, Anna’s real daughter is locked in a dungeon, Anna knows there is a real chance that other Vs may revolt as well and so her timeline is shrinking so she had to move faster and quicker for her plans to work. Now that we have seen the Visitors we can see a lot more of them. There is a whole bit of mythology about the second part of their plan that we could get into. That I don’t want to give all away because that will be fun to watch.” Pacing is another major issue Rosenbaum says will be resolved in the proposed Season 3. “The pacing of the shows will be very much like that last episode, they all will be peddle to the metal and tons of story and excitement. That’s more the style that I prefer as a writer and I was actually pulled back to a style that I was uncomfortable with. My voice as a writer is much more like that last episode than the ones you saw before because I was asked to slow things down. I didn’t believe that was the way to go but I did the best I could. I can’t wait, I’m excited about [a potential Season 3].” Updated: April 2nd We are encouraged by the news that Elizabeth Mitchell and one of the show’s executive producers will be attending the Wondercon convention in San Francisco on Sunday, April 3. If the show had very little chance of survival, they wouldn’t go to the trouble, would they? Here’s the info on the WonderCon V panel, which curiously talks about “teasing what’s to come”: Executive producer will dish on the year that was — and will tease what is to come in the epic battle for survival between the Visitors and the human race. V is produced by HDFilms in association with Warner Bros. Television. [1]In an exclusive interview with Morena Baccarin, AX has asked the star her thoughts on V season 3, here’s what she said: Question:Are you optimistic that there will be a Season 3 of V? Answer: I am. I think you never know with television. I feel very proud of this season. I feel like we’re finally giving the audience what they want. I think it’s really exciting. I just feel really grateful and happy to be able to play this role. I think it’s so much fun. I know, not really much on what we can rely on right now but despite V’s low ratings, the show has been fantastic recently and deserves a proper final chapter. What do you think?
Season 3 of Aqua Teen Hunger Force premiered on April 25, 2004 and spans 13 episodes. This season is most known for the changing of Dr. Weird openers to Spacecataz. Despite his concealing a serious illness from the American people, President Bartlet will run again, and he intends to win. It may not be that simple. Next, a team of election consultants led by Bruno Gianelli clashes with the idealistic and resentful staffers. Meanwhile, the House of Representatives begin their probe into the cover-up of Bartlet's illness, with both Donna and Leo finding themselves in sticky situations. To end it all, Bartlet is forced to make a difficult decision. The staffers' personal lives are not any less complicated, either. Josh finds himself drawn to woman's activist Amy Gardener while Toby confronts the President about his sacrificing of political ideals in order to be liked, which causes a rift between them. Sam is confronted by several challenges, including having to deal with his ex-fiance and a betrayal by a friend that hurts him deeply and embarasses him publicly. Finally, C.J. recieves a death threat after making pointed comments about Saudi Arabia, threats so serious that they require the protection of the Secret Service. The President is forced to make a deadly decision when it is uncovered that a foreign diplomoat is also a terrorist that has plans to attack the U.S.

Season 3 refers to the third season of Recess which was broadcast from September 11, 1999 - January 22, 2000 and lasted for a total of 15 episodes. Both this season and season four aired at the same time, with the season three episodes premiering on ABC as part of Disney's One Saturday Morning, and season four's episodes premiering on UPN as part of Disney's One Too. Outside of the U.S., the individual 11 minute episodes of this season and season four were mixed together out-of-order to create one long season. Season three was notably shorter than the previous ABC seasons; due to large gaps in episode airings. This was due to the show's staff busy with Recess: School's Out. Though both Season 3 and 4 were produced at the same time, so technically both this season and the latter are part of the third production season. This season was also the first to feature digital animation for some of its' episodes. Also, starting with this season, the logo at the beginning of the theme song now has "Created by Paul and Joe" at the bottom of it.
Season 3 of Dog the Bounty Hunter has a total of 25 episodes.
John Crichton's voiceover during the opening credits changes this season, and consists of two different messages overlapping (the second message falls within the parentheses below): "My name is John Crichton (I'm lost), an astronaut, (shot through a wormhole) in some distant part of the universe (I'm trying to stay alive) aboard this ship (this living ship) of escaped prisoners (my friends). If you can hear me, (beware). If I make it back, (will they follow)? If I open a door, (are you ready)? Earth is unprepared (helpless) for the nightmares I've seen. Or should I stay, protect my home, not show them you exist. But then you'll never know … the wonders I've seen." The appropriately titled season opener tells fans everything they need to know about what is to come in Farscape's third season: Season Of Death. This season sees the first major cast change in the series, with the departure of Virginia Hey early in the season. Paul Goddard, Lani Tupu and Wayne Pygram all saw their characters Stark, Crais and Scorpius become regulars (and get berths in the opening credits); the season also saw the addition of Tammy MacIntosh as Jool (although a regular, MacIntosh was only ever credited as a guest star and in one episode went completely uncredited). The final episodes of the season saw the debuts of two new cast members: Rebecca Riggs as Grayza and Melissa Jaffer as Noranti. By the end of the season, however, both Goddard and Tupu had departed as on-screen regulars, with Crais being killed off (Goddard would return in Season 4, while Tupu would continue providing the voice of Pilot). The Diagnosan heals Crichton with a tissue graft taken from an Interion, a species which is a compatible donor for humans, but all is not well. The neural clone of Scorpius, Harvey, remains in Crichton's brain, but without the neurochip to strengthen it Crichton is able to re-assert himself as the dominant personality. Zhaan uses her spiritual energies to bring Aeryn back from the edge of death - the former Peacekeeper having been frozen in stasis before being fully dead. This revival leaves Zhaan incredibly weak and dying. Chiana's relationship with D'Argo also turns sour as she panics at the sedentary plans on a farm D'Argo has for their future. She begins a secret affair with his son Jothee. Moya and crew leave the ice planet with two frozen 'donors' in tow, the cousins of Crichton's brain tissue donor. Crichton feels guilt for having benefited from the loss of another's life, and hopes that they are related to humans and might have valuable information, and that their lives can later be saved, as Aeryn's was. Chiana and Jothee's actions, upon discovery, destroy the relationship between themselves and D'Argo, and Jothee leaves Moya. During this, one of the pods containing the Interions is accidentally opened and the person inside emerges only to quickly die. The crew tries desperately to find a planet with the kind of soil Zhaan needs so she can heal and replenish her energies, but they may be too late: an accident involving a wormhole leaves Moya injuriously fused with another ship. Zhaan sacrifices her own life to free Moya and her crew from the wormhole that would have torn them apart, by piloting the doomed alien vessel and rematerialising it separated from Moya. She returns to her goddess and is at peace. During the wormhole crisis the female Interion, Joolushko Tunai Fenta Hovalis, known to her friends by her full name, and nicknamed 'Jool' by Crichton, awakens from her frozen stasis and makes her presence felt on Moya. An academic ingenue, kidnapped, and frozen whilst taking a multi-civilisation tour holiday, Jool is disgusted by her new surroundings and the inferiority of her traveling companions, and holds a short-lived grudge against Crichton due to her cousin having been killed to save him. However, she has nowhere else to go so joins the crew. During an encounter with a dying Leviathan that has been taken over by a mad scientist criminal, Crichton is 'twinned' — split into two completely identical Crichtons, both equal and original to each other. Crais and Talyn reappear, being pursued by a Peacekeeper retrieval squad, which results in the crew having to split up for the safety of the defenseless Moya. Crais, Aeryn, Rygel, Stark and one of the Crichtons escape aboard Talyn, leaving D'Argo, Chiana, Jool and the remaining Crichton aboard Moya. Missing Aeryn, Moya's Crichton becomes obsessed with the wormhole studies that could get him home. D'Argo, still devastated by Chiana and Jothee's betrayal, finds solace in repairing a strange vessel of Luxan origin (that he later names Lo'La after his late wife). After an encounter with a strange energy rider creature, Chiana is left with extrasensory powers that leave her increasingly disoriented and blinded every time she uses them--she can sense the future, and slow down her perception of the present. Aboard Talyn, Aeryn and the other Crichton begin a passionate relationship. However the retrieval squad catches up and Aeryn is subjected to a painful reunion with her mother, Xhalax Sun, who commands the Peacekeeper retrieval squad assigned to capture Talyn and Crais. Eventually the crew defeat the squad, and Crais seemingly kills Xhalax. Later, Crichton and the crew fight to keep wormhole technology out of the hands of the Scarrans, with Crichton sacrificing his life to this end. Aeryn is completely devastated and flees Talyn to live a reclusive life on a strange planet of mystics to mourn Crichton and, she hopes, speak with the dead, Xhalax returns, having been spared by Crais in return for her calling off the retrieval squad, looking for revenge however is killed when she falls out of a windon. Stark believes that he hears Zhaan's spirit calling to him and leaves Talyn to find her. Eventually the crew reunites aboard Moya. The crew's relationships are stressed; Aeryn has retreated into her Peacekeeper training, shutting herself off from emotions. She refuses to look at the other Crichton and will barely speak to him. The crew finds a semblance of unity in a new goal: aiding Crichton in destroying Scorpius' wormhole research, which they fear would otherwise give the Peacekeepers access to the known universe, including Earth, as well as access to vast new destructive powers. Rygel and D'Argo meet with Scorpius on a neutral planet and negotiate a deal to allow Crichton access to Scorpius' lab on his Command Carrier, allegedly so that he can assist in the furthering of wormhole technology, but really so that he can secretly sabotage the project. Talyn meanwhile becomes increasingly wild and uncontrollable, unable to reconcile the peaceful Leviathan and the aggressive gunship sides of his nature. When he destroys an innocent ship and later attacks Moya, the crew agree to put him into a coma until they can find a way to remove his violent tendancies. Scorpius grants the crew safe passage aboard his Command Carrier while Crichton continues his research; however Scorpius himself runs into problems when his careful plans are halted by Commandant Grayza, who is seeking to establish a peace treaty with the Scarrans. Realising that they can only destroy the wormhole project by destroying Scorpius' Command Carrier, Crais and the mentally unstable Talyn decide to sacrifice themselves and die warrior's death. Talyn performs a final suicidal starburst inside the Command Carrier to blow up the ship, destroying both the wormhole technology research and Scorpius' career. After Moya carries Talyn's remains to the sacred Leviathan burial space, the crew splinters, pulled apart by the currents of their differing goals. Aeryn decides to leave Moya and join a group of renegade Peacekeeper assassins. She is too distressed by the complicated prospect of living alongside this surviving Crichton while having experienced a fully realised relationship with the other, deceased Crichton. Crichton tries to prevent her departure, and the two argue fiercely. Eventually, they decide to flip a coin to make the decision for them, as Crichton has said that it is fate that the two of them be together, and Aeryn wants to put that fate to the test. Crichton loses the coin toss, and Aeryn departs along with everyone else (apart from Jool). Crichton mopes in his Farscape module and while there, he thinks over what he has recently learned via a mysterious old woman, Noranti, a former prisoner rescued from the Command Carrier who has stayed on Moya to repay her "debt" to Crichton for saving her. Crichton realizes that his dreams of a quiet existence back on Earth with Aeryn as his wife are untenable. Then, with the intervention of Harvey, he realizes Noranti has left a latent message in his brain: Aeryn is pregnant. He has lost his home, he has lost his friends, and now he has lost Aeryn. Almost out of fuel, he turns to rejoin Moya in order that they may pursue Aeryn, refusing to let her go now that he knows about the baby. Suddenly, a wormhole opens up and swallows Moya whole, leaving Crichton stranded and alone in open space, out of fuel.

More so than at any other point in the series, notable changes to the show's format occur at the beginning of the third season.
* The Miami Vice logo in the opening sequence is illuminated in ice blue instead of pink. The pink lettering of the word "Vice" is also changed to purple.
* The storylines, along with the general tones of the show, become grittier and nihilistic; more episodes end abruptly after a violent climax that leaves numerous people dead, both good as bad alike.
* Crockett's car changes to the Ferrari Testarossa in "Stone's War" (although his Daytona, which is destroyed in the premiere "When Irish Eyes Are Crying", reappears mysteriously in "El Viejo", indicating the studio switched the running order of the episodes).
* Tubbs' hair becomes short, whilst Crockett's becomes shorter and spiked in appearance.
* The pastel clothing is largely eschewed in favour of greens, yellows, blues and dark greys, a move severely criticised by fans at the time. Some of the new fashion even violates Michael Mann's famous "No Earth Tones!" rule that he implemented when developing the wardrobe for the show.
* Further to the fashion changes, Crockett relinquishes his beloved Ray-Ban Wayfarers for Persol 69218s. These will last only through this season.
* Crockett's sidearm from season 1 and season 2, the Dornaus & Dixon Bren Ten 10mm is gone. He now uses a .45-caliber Smith & Wesson 645.
* Larry Zito dies in "Down for the Count (Part I)", and is not replaced. As such, Stan Switek becomes a more focused supporting character, particularly in subsequent seasons, and handles the team's surveillance duties on his own.
* Appearances of Elvis, Crockett's pet alligator, are gradually phased out this season and he will only be mentioned in passing from now on (except for a picture in "Love at First Sight" and a flashback in "A Bullet for Crockett", both from season 4, and briefly during the closing montage of season 5's "Freefall"). What happens to Elvis is never explained.
* Several recurring characters from first two seasons, such as Valerie Gordon, The Noogman, Ample Annie and Tommy, are dropped for the third season. While some would ultimately return later in the show's run, most notably Valerie and Noogie, others would never be seen again.
* Crockett's sailboat, the St. Vitus Dance, is now an Endeavour 42, changing from the smaller Endeavour 40 (the Endeavour 42 was introduced at the beginning of season 2, but some episodes still featured the Endeavour 40).
* Smoking among the characters (especially Crockett) is gradually phased out.
* The music used in episodes shifts from popular, upbeat fare like synthpop and soft rock to more dark, somber music like punk, electronic, and heavy metal.
* Dick Wolf takes over from Michael Mann as line producer, and the storylines reflect his "ripped from the headlines" style, made famous a few years later with Law & Order. Mann largely leaves the production to work on his new series Crime Story and his film Manhunter, which features a large number of Miami Vice guest stars including Crime Story lead Dennis Farina and Vice regular Michael Talbott.
Season 3 begins roughly six months after the events of "I'll Be Seeing You", the concluding two part episode of Season 2. This would be Nicholas Colasanto's final season before his death. Starting with this season, "Singin' the blues when the Red Sox lose" is replaced with "Makin' your way in the world today", which would be used for the rest of the show's run.
