. "Asuras, designated M7R-227 by the Tau'ri, was the homeworld of the Asurans. It was about 5000 lightyears from Lantea."@en . . . "Asuras is the homeworld of the Asurans. During the war with the Wraith, the Atlanteans built a laboratory on Asuras, intending to create nanites which would destroy the Wraith on a cellular level. Instead, the nanites took human form. Concluding that they would never be the weapon they wanted, the Ancient Council sent a fleet of Aurora class warships to devastate Asuras. However, some nanites survived, and remodled Asuras into a new version of Atlantis. After the Tau'ri retoke Atlantis, the Asurans built a fleet intended to attack Earth, but the Apollo launched an attack using Horizon, destroying the shipyards Later in Lifeline Sheppard, McKay, Weir and Ronon return to steal a ZPM to save Atlantis. Using Weir's recently reactivated nanites and a Puddle Jumper equiped with a hyperdrive they succed in reaching the planet and easily steal a single ZPM. The team discovers a deactivated attack command in the Asurans base code that would force them to attack the Wraith and go after the Asurans' data core to upload the reactivated attack command. They succed but Weir is left behind as she sacrifices herself so the others can escape. They get attacked by 3 Asuran Warships but manage to escape with help from a timely appearence from the Apollo which returns to the planet to help them. In This Mortal Coil a cloned copy of the team and Weir hitches a ride to Asuras on the back of an Asuran Warship. There they find that at least one of the destroyed shipyards has been rebuilt and then some and steal a ship to get to New Athos to link up with the real team from Atlantis. In Be All My Sins Remembered a fleet of 16 ships consisting of the Daedalus, the Apollo, 7 Wraith Hive Ships and 7 Travelers ships including their Ancient Warship attack the planet in a final plan to destroy the Replicators. McKay, with the help of a Replicator he creates called Fran, turns all the Replicators into a mass of nanites which he manages to cause to sink to the planet's core causing it to implode destroying Asuras and the entire Replicator mass. Later a Replicator Warship commanded by Dr. Elizabeth Weir returns to examine the remains and confirms that the Replicators were destroyed."@en . . . "Tidigare Asuraner hemv\u00E4rld"@sv . . . . . Despite the great number of legends that have the Asura as antagonists they are, like all deities, not always seen as entirely evil and can be amoral or even benign in the minds of some - to some the Asura simply represent an alternative path (much like the concept of Mammon in Abrahamic religions). According to some the main principles of the Asura were pride, arrogance, conceit, anger, harshness, and ignorance - which would certainly explain why they were often at odds with the Devas."@en .
