Guió: Enrique Sánchez Abulí. Dibuix: Jordi Bernet. Edita: Ediciones Glénat. Anys d'edició: 2007-2008. ISBN: (1) 978-84-8357-416-4. Format: 144 pàg. en blanc i negre. Enquadernat en cartoné. Preu: 15 €. Torpedo is a no-nonsense, by the book, stand-by the regs Navy SEAL. US Navy SEALS are the toughest of the tough, and Torpedo may be tougher than the rest. He is in a league of his own, and he likes it that way. He was the first choice to represent the Navy within the G.I. Joe team. As an elite S.E.A.L., he can swim up to 100 yards without scuba tanks, carrying half his weight in underwater explosives. He is proficient in three martial art styles as well as the Bali-Song Filipino butterfly knife and is a Qualified Expert in most NATO small arms as well as NATO and Warsaw Pact explosive devices. He goes out on a five-mile run and does a hundred push-ups before breakfast, and after that he starts the serious training. Dropped from a moving helicopter into deep water, he can swim to shore with A torpedo is a self-propelled wepaon with an explosive warhead, launched above or below the water surface, propelled underwater towards a target, and designed to detonate either on contact or within proximity of its target. Torpedoes were primarily used in space combat as an alternative to directed energy weapons such as disruptors and phasers. Torpedoes could be configured before launch to fit various specifications. Normally a torpedo was equipped with a warhead, and the explosive yield of this warhead could vary depending on the type of torpedo. Torpedo launchers brought the weapon into the launch tube and allowed fire control from the ship's bridge, although a torpedo could be launched manually. (TNG: "Masks" ; VOY: "Future's End, Part II") Most of the time a tactical officer was responsible for target acquisition and launch sequence. __NOWYSIWYG__ The Torpedo (known in Japan as 榴弾 (High Explosive Shell)) is a Main Weapon that appears in Shin-Combat Choro-Q. It costs 800 G. The Torpedo is a class of weapons, consisting of the Meson, Chrono, Nanite, Kril, and Angler torpedo systems. It is only weapon type (except the depth charge) that is capable of targeting Submerged units. Many forms of the Torpedo exist as different Weapons Technologies in the different factions, and they are all operate similarly. The Torpedo travels through the water and homes in on it's target, causing damage on contact. Torpedoes can be destroyed before hitting their targets by Anti-Torpedo-Systems. Photon torpedoes are armed with a warhead filled with magnetically constrained matter and antimatter. Upon the detonation requirements being met (such as impact with another object) the magnetic constraint collapsed, allowing the reactants to combine. The resulting annihilation released energy in the form of EM radiation and particles such as neutrinos. A Torpedo was a self-propelled weapon with an explosive warhead, launched above or below the water surface, propelled underwater towards a target, and designed to detonate either on contact with its target or in proximity to it. In 1999, the Sub hunter‏‎ prepared to drop its Torpedoes on the Minsk when the pilots ware distracted by a bright light, which hurtled towards them and destroyed their aircraft. (From the Stars 1: "From the Stars") Ingame: Torpedoes represent an early available "magnum" weapon that have a great damage value if a hit is scored. They are limited by ship class weight, technology available (oxygen and homing torpedo is rarely available early ingame), firing arc (in some types of ship), and magazine limitation. The torpedo's weapon system, like naval artillery, offers multi barrel weapon that enable several torpedoes to be shot in a single salvo. Submarines have more option of torpedoes as it is their primary weapon of choice. Available torpedo weapon system specially designed for submarine includes turret torpedo and anti mine torpedo. Torpedo on vedenalla kulkeva ammus. A torpedo is a type of self-propelled, self-guided projectile weapon. Torpedo weapons are commonly found in the arsenals of many starships. Torpedoes are used in space combat to complement, or as an alternative to, directed energy weapons such as phasers and/or disruptors. Most torpedoes are significantly more destructive and less precise than directed energy so are only used when one desires the opponent destroyed or severely damaged. A Torpedo is a self-propelled weapon with an explosive warhead, launched above or below the water surface, propelled underwater towards a target, and designed to detonate either on contact with its target or in proximity to it. In the Star Fox series, the Blue-Marine is armed with a Homing Torpedo launcher, able to fire an unlimited supply of "Light Bomb" underwater based projectiles that can be locked onto its target with the use of a Targeting Computer, in place of Charged Lasers. The submersible has one weakness, and this is the fact that its visual sensors were not designed to work in the darkness of great depths; it was instead designed to use sonar. Therefore, in order to see clearly in the murky abyss, the Blue-Marine must use "Light Bomb" torpedoes, of which it has an unlimited sup The modern torpedo is a self-propelled weapon with an explosive warhead, launched above or below the water surface, propelled underwater towards a target, and designed to detonate either on contact with its target or in proximity to it. Today's torpedoes can be divided into lightweight and heavyweight classes; and into straight-running, autonomous homers, and wire-guided. They can be launched from a variety of platforms. Torpedoes were a form of buyable weaponry for the Star Explorer. Unlike Missiles, which locked onto enemies, Torpedoes flew in a straight path. What they lacked in tracking capability; however, they made up in sheer power and blast radius. An upgrade that allowed simultaneous fire of two torpedoes could also be purchased. Special Part(s): [Torpedo Variants] Torpedo is the title of a group of common assault rifles. They are manufactured exclusively by Torgue, and use the Torgue barrel. The Torpedo is obtained randomly from any suitable loot source. Torpedoes are self-propelled, guided explosive projectile weapons that were used in the Homeworld 2 Era. (TNG: Die Auflösung) Torpedoes were a form of buyable weaponry for the Star Explorer. Unlike Missiles, which locked onto enemies, Torpedoes flew in a straight path. What they lacked in tracking capability; however, they made up in sheer power and blast radius. An upgrade that allowed simultaneous fire of two torpedoes could also be purchased. A torpedo is a self-propelled wepaon with an explosive warhead, launched above or below the water surface, propelled underwater towards a target, and designed to detonate either on contact or within proximity of its target. While the battleship had evolved primarily around engagements between armored ships with large-caliber guns, the torpedo allowed torpedo boats and other lighter surface ships, submersibles, even ordinary fishing boats or frogmen, and later, aircraft, to destroy large armored ships without the need of large guns, though sometimes at the risk of being hit by longer-range shellfire. Dropped from a moving helicopter into deep water, he can swim to shore with a hundred-pound pack fill of weapons, run cross-country for ten miles, and still be back at headquarters fin time for dinner at the mess. A highly competent professional in his field, Torpedo's only drawback is his lack of personality. He has no sense of humor, no bad habits, and lives a disciplined life as a strict vegetarian. Amusingly enough, he still manages to have friends and enjoy their company. Nonetheless, he prefers the solitude of the ocean, and really hates pollution. He spends his spare time perfecting his fighting skills and marksmanship, reading technical manuals, and working on his vintage '68 muscle car. He's a guy that can go up against a squad of COBRA Eels, bare-handed, and leave them as fish food. His fellow G.I. Joe tea members respect him for his professionalism and skills, avoid sparring with him during hand-to-hand combat drill, and keep their distance when he shortens the fuses on his grenades. Torpedo was a scuba instructor prior to enlistment. Attained black belts in three martial arts by age 19 (Wu-Shu, Kenpo, and Go-Ju-Ryu). Proficient with Filipino butterfly knife (Bali-Song). Training records after SEAL School: CLASSIFIED. Qualified Expert: Most NATO small arms, NATO and Warsaw Pact explosive devices. Spends off-duty hours perfecting his fighting skills and marksmanship. From General Hawk's Files: "If discipline is the key, Torpedo is the lock. Torpedo's talent in underwater demolitions is extraordinary. When he sets his mind to something, nothing stands in his way. I've never seen anybody hold their breath as long as this guy either. I value his judgement and his skills." A Torpedo was a self-propelled weapon with an explosive warhead, launched above or below the water surface, propelled underwater towards a target, and designed to detonate either on contact with its target or in proximity to it. In 1999, the Sub hunter‏‎ prepared to drop its Torpedoes on the Minsk when the pilots ware distracted by a bright light, which hurtled towards them and destroyed their aircraft. (From the Stars 1: "From the Stars") Photon torpedoes are armed with a warhead filled with magnetically constrained matter and antimatter. Upon the detonation requirements being met (such as impact with another object) the magnetic constraint collapsed, allowing the reactants to combine. The resulting annihilation released energy in the form of EM radiation and particles such as neutrinos. Special Part(s): [Torpedo Variants] Torpedo is the title of a group of common assault rifles. They are manufactured exclusively by Torgue, and use the Torgue barrel. The Torpedo is obtained randomly from any suitable loot source. Therefore, in order to see clearly in the murky abyss, the Blue-Marine must use "Light Bomb" torpedoes, of which it has an unlimited supply. The launch time between each Torpedo is however slow, therefore it leaves the Blue-Marine vulnerable against oncoming enemies until the previous shot has hit its target. Por dedir torpedo nos podemos referir a: * Torpedo de Protones * Torpedo Rastreador * Torpedo de Plasma * Lanzadora de Torpedos * Torpedo Electromagnético * Torpedo Devastador * Torpedo de resonancia 1. * REDIRECCIÓN Torpedoes were primarily used in space combat as an alternative to directed energy weapons such as disruptors and phasers. The maximum effective range of a torpedo depended on its type. Range was dependent on propulsion and acquisition capabilities. Propulsion was categorized basically by whether the torpedo was warp-capable or used another method of propulsion. Some types of torpedoes were equipped with a self-destruction mechanism. For those types, if a torpedo needed to be aborted and destroyed, due to, for example, a targeting acquisition problem, it could be destroyed. The torpedo guided itself via internal sensors that could be configured by the tactical officer. (TNG: "Genesis" ) The advantage was that a firing pattern could be established whereby multiple torpedo launches could be coordinated to hit a single target and thus make the best use of every torpedo's explosive yield. (TNG: "Pen Pals" ) When necessary, the device's internal sensors could be replaced by specialized sensor packs, allowing for additional flexibility in use; for example, using a sensor pack designed to detect gaseous anomalies could enable a torpedo to lock onto impulse engine emissions. After configuration, the torpedo could be fired and would automatically acquire its target. (Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country) Some torpedoes featured advanced artificial intelligence to make the decisions about target acquisition, defensive maneuvers, etc. (VOY: "Warhead") On 20th century Earth, the United States Navy trained whales to recover maritime torpedoes. Gillian Taylor asked James T. Kirk and Spock whether that was who they were after hearing Spock call Kirk "Admiral". (Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home) Torpedoes were used by different species and varied in type, appearance, explosive yield, and effective range. There were several types of torpedoes: * Advanced long-range torpedo - an undetectable long-range photon torpedo designed by John Harrison in the alternate reality * Antimatter torpedo - an antimatter weapon, used by Kelemane's species * Chroniton torpedo - a torpedo in temporal flux, used by the Krenim Imperium * Gravimetric torpedo - a heavy weapon with a gravimetric charge, used by Starfleet * Isolytic burst - an illegal subspace weapon used by the Son'a * Photon torpedo - the most common type of torpedo, used by multiple species * Photonic torpedo - an antimatter weapon, used by Starfleet and the Vissians * Plasma torpedo - used by Romulan, Cardassian, and Kazon forces * Pulse wave torpedo - a torpedo that could be used to disrupt subspace anomalies * Quantum torpedo - an advanced weapon, used by Starfleet, the Terran Rebellion, and the Cardassian Union * Series 5 torpedo - an antimatter torpedo with artificial intelligence developed by the Druoda * Spatial torpedo - Triton-class spatial torpedoes were used by Starfleet in the 22nd century * Stratospheric torpedo - a torpedo used in planetary atmospheres by Starfleet and the Maquis * Transphasic torpedo - an anti-Borg weapon, originally developed by Captain Kathryn Janeway in an alternate timeline According to Star Trek: Deep Space Nine Technical Manual (p. 92), torpedoes, like auxiliary craft, were equipped with shield window transponders. This allowed them to be launched while the shields were active, as they passed through during a window in the shields. Canonically, the concept of shield windows was introduced in the Star Trek: The Next Generation episode "The Wounded" , where such things as beaming are possible for 1/50th of a second between sensor systems cycles. Historically, it was called an automotive, automobile, locomotive or fish torpedo; colloquially called a fish. The term torpedo was originally employed for a variety of devices, most of which would today be called mines. From about 1900, torpedo has been used strictly to designate an underwater self-propelled weapon. The original torpedo is a kind of fish: an electric ray. While the battleship had evolved primarily around engagements between armoured ships with large-caliber guns, the torpedo allowed torpedo boats and other lighter surface ships, submersibles, even ordinary fishing boats or frogmen, and later, aircraft, to destroy large armoured ships without the need of large guns, though sometimes at the risk of being hit by longer-range shellfire. Today's torpedoes can be divided into lightweight and heavyweight classes; and into straight-running, autonomous homers, and wire-guided. They can be launched from a variety of platforms. __NOWYSIWYG__ The Torpedo (known in Japan as 榴弾 (High Explosive Shell)) is a Main Weapon that appears in Shin-Combat Choro-Q. Ingame: Torpedoes represent an early available "magnum" weapon that have a great damage value if a hit is scored.
