Briar Patch is a store filled with Mickey Mouse ears and other silly accessories. The store is located in Critter Country in Disneyland Park. This article is a . You can help My English Wiki by expanding it. An area which surrounds the Ba'ku planet, the Briar patch is characterized by anomalies and pockets of metreon gas. Warp travel is impossible within the Briar patch, and Starships in the area need special modification in order to operate effectively. In 2375 the Enterprise-E was forced to enter the patch without modification. Whilst there the ship engaged in battle with two Son'a battleships. The Enterprise experienced significant difficulties, damaging its impulse manifolds. Nevertheless the Enterprise was able to use its Bussard collectors to scoop up some of the Metreon gas and detonate it in proximity to the Son'a ships, destroying one and damaging the other. In the 18th century, a group of Ba'ku arrived in the Briar Patch and established a colony on one of several planets located in the Patch. The planet contained metaphasic rings that meant that their lifespans were greatly increased. (TNG movie: Star Trek: Insurrection) By the 22nd century, the Patch was located inside Klingon space, although they maintained no military presence inside. In 2154, Dr. Arik Soong viewed the area as a perfect hiding place for himself and his Augments when they were being pursued by the Enterprise (NX-01). Upon seeing the Patch on the viewscreen he termed the name Briar Patch in relation to an old story from Earth. (ENT episode: "The Augments") In 2271, the Patch was the location of the Battle of Klach D'Kel Brakt which saw Kor lead the Klingons to a great military victory over the Romulan Star Empire. (DS9 episode: "Blood Oath") By 2375, the Briar Patch was located inside Federation space, and was the setting for a joint Starfleet-Son'a mission in the Patch which was the forced relocation of the Ba'ku and attempt to harness the life-prolonging powers of the planet's rings. Thankfully, Captain Jean-Luc Picard and the crew of the USS Enterprise managed to prevent this. (TNG movie: Star Trek: Insurrection) Following these events, Starfleet established Outpost 40 in the Patch and maintained a small task force to protect the Ba'ku planet and the immediate area. (TNG video game: Hidden Evil) In 2376, the Patch was the site of a further battle between Starfleet and Son'a forces as they attempted to take control of the planet. (TNG video game: Armada) A briar patch is a common name for a thicket of thorny plants. The Briar Patch is named after its similarities. (ENT: ; Star Trek: Der Aufstand) Im 22. (Star Trek: Der Aufstand) Briar Patch is a difficulty 4 that is started by clicking on Briar Patch in the north end of Bristlewood, Briarwood. There is an icon on the Atlas for Briar Patch. The Briar Patch is a location in Mafia III. A briar patch appears in the first animated segment of Song of the South, which serves as Brer Rabbit's home. He is leaving it because he says it's just causing him trouble. After boarding it up, Uncle Remus bids farewell to him and he leaves. At the end of the segment, he returns to his Briar Patch after his little encounter with Brer Fox and Brer Bear. Another briar patch appears at the end of the second animated segment. When Brer Rabbit is pulled out of the Tar Baby, he sees a briar patch and begs Brer Fox not to throw him in it. He wanted him to do so. When Brer Rabbit is thrown into the briar patch, Brer Fox hears him holler and believes him to be dead. Then, Brer Rabbit emerges from the briar patch, saying that he was born and raised in one. ("Star Trek: Insurrection") The area known as the Briar Patch contained the stars Ba'ku, SNC 461206 and UFC 8177. In the surrounding area, SNR 093120, UFC 9364, NGC 2812 and QSR 390021 were all visible on star charts of sector 441. (ENT: "The Augments") In 2256, the region's location was labeled on a tactical map on the bridge of the USS Discovery. (DIS: "Choose Your Pain") Later that year, this region's location was labeled on the star chart "Alpha/Beta Quadrant Overview" in the ready room aboard the USS Discovery. (DIS: "Magic to Make the Sanest Man Go Mad") In 2271, the region was the site of the celebrated Battle of Klach D'kel Brakt, where Dahar Master Kor led the Klingon Empire in a glorious victory over the Romulan Star Empire. Nearly a century later, Kor was still fond of re-playing the battle in holosuites. (DS9: "Blood Oath") By the 24th century, the region was part of Federation space. According to admiral Dougherty, ships entering the region preferably were specially fitted for it. The anomalies pervading the region had not been fully identified when in 2375 a joint Starfleet-Son'a mission was mounted to study the Ba'ku planet. During that mission, the Briar Patch was the scene of the Battle of the Briar Patch between the Federation starship USS Enterprise-E and Son'a ships, following the discovery of a plot to relocate the Ba'ku.
