Boss Rush
rdfs:comment
To access the boss rush, one can either press "b" at the title screen, or select the option after the normal game has been beaten. Your are teleported to a hub room that gives you warps to each of the bosses. The time and # of deaths are tracked in the upper left corner of the screen, and the best record is kept in the right. Alternatively, you can head straight to The Guy and hold down "e", "n", and "d" to end the boss rush within seconds. Boss Rush is one of the unlockable extra game modes for Scott Pilgrim vs. the World: The Game. In this mode, the players fight all the game bosses (including Envy Adams, Lynette Guycott, Robot-01, Super Fighting Robot and all forms of Gideon Graves - only secret boss Mr. Chau is absent from this mode) in a row. No health is restored between the fights. The players are then ranked in a leaderboard according to the number of bosses they knocked out and the total time counted until the players either defeat the final boss or get defeated by one of the bosses. In some games, an explanation is given to the bosses getting resurrected. In Mega Man X8, the eight bosses are actually Guardroids imitating the bosses. In the remake Mega Man Maverick Hunter X, X talks with Launch Octopus and believes that Sigma has brought their bodies back to life. Although revived, Launch Octopus (and presumably the other seven Reploids) appeared to now only have a robotic-like personality, with him saying that he was ordered to fight. In the remake Mega Man Powered Up, the eight bosses are all Copy Robots as they have a different color palette compare to the original,Copy Robots were used are due to Mega Man has rescued/(destroyed) the original bosses. In Mega Man ZX Advent, Master Albert revived the eight Pseudoroids by giving their spirits new bodies. Usually, Zub Rush (or Zub Rush MK II) appears as a Sub Boss at the start of the level to give some power ups to the player. NOTE: The tenth round won't be unlocked until you've completed the Final Battle! If you haven't completed it yet, then this mode will end at round 9 and you'll get a Platinum medal for completing it. If you unlocked the tenth round and completed it, then your Platinum medal will be replaced with an Emerald medal! The Boss Rush mode with a 10th round can be referred to as "Boss Rush F", and is now one of the last things the player can unlock! The players need to fight all 12 boss battles (or 6 battles) to exit. Once you get in, there's no way to exit until you fight all boss battles. After fighting all bosses, points are added depending to your rank in boss battles: five points for first, three points for second, two points for third and one point for fourth. Finally, Toad will announce the winner. Completing this mode gives you 10 party points. The Boss Rush is a Nonstop in Mungyodance 3: The Third Rave. Boss Rush is just that - a nonstop dedicated to the boss songs of the Mungyodance series, with the range of bosses spanning all three games. The Dash Hopes series does not make an appearance in the Rush. It has a very 8-bit esque intermission between songs.
