Bandersnatch Bandersnatch Bandersnatch Bandersnatch Bandersnatch Bandersnatch Bandersnatch
rdfs:comment
Bandersnatch (バンダースナッチ Bandāsunatchi) is Hiroshi Oikawa's inner Phantom which tries to makes its way to the real world by smashing the Gate's Underworld. Bandersnatch is very strong and agile flying Phantom, which is both Beast and Beast Chimera had hard time to beat it. To make things worse, Bandersnatch is able to split any part body into a large amount of smaller version of itself after Beast slashed the Phantom into half. However, Beast Chimera is able to encounter this with his Beast Laser. The remaining part of Bandersnatch was destroyed by Beast Chimera's Biting End's attack. The Bandersnatch is a character in Tim Burton's 2010 film Alice in Wonderland. The Bandersnatch is a fictional creature mentioned in Lewis Carroll's poems Jabberwocky and The Hunting of the Snark. The form or size of the creature is not described, nor is it clear whether Bandersnatch is singular, like the Phoenix. Bandersnatch was a UNSC emergency code. Used right after combat operations or disasters had taken place, the code represents a radiological- or energy-based disaster. This code has been used many times, most often when a UEG colony world has been glassed by Covenant forces. The code was also used during the destruction of the Far Isle colony due to massive rebellion, and during the Battle of Earth, after a Covenant Assault Carrier entered Slipspace in Earth's lower orbit and damaged the city of New Mombasa. A Bandersnatch is a fictional creature from Lewis Carroll's 1871 novel, Through the Looking-Glass, and What Alice Found There, and 1874 poem, "The Hunting of the Snark". Although neither work describes the appearance of a Bandersnatch in great detail, in "The Hunting of the Snark," it has a long neck and snapping jaws, and both works describe it as ferocious and extraordinarily fast. Through the Looking-Glass implies that Bandersnatches may be found in the world behind the looking-glass, and in "The Hunting of the Snark", a Bandersnatch is found by a party of adventurers after crossing an ocean. Bandersnatches have appeared in various adaptations of Carroll's works; they have also been used in other authors' works and in other forms of media. Frumious bandersnatch are a herd animal. They are completely white, and resemble a very large slug with smooth, slick skin. From the front, a brontosaur-like neck, with no head, extends about as high as the bandersnatch's body. The tip is thick and rounded, entirely featureless, other than two tufts of black bristles (sense organs). The large mouth at the bottom, above the belly foot, is almost invisible when closed. The large mouth is adapted to scooping the Bandersnatchi's food, a colony forming yeast that lives in the shallow oceans of Jinx. A Bandersnatch (Pesvastus dissimulatus) is a sasquatch that has been infected with HMHVV II, although they do not manifest the vampiric aspects usually associated with the virus. Its coat is more mangy-looking than a normal sasquatch and its strong arms are more elongated as well. It has the teeth of a carnivore, and it does prefer fresh meat, either still alive or recently killed. Although Bandersnatch doesn't appear in the book, it is described as a swift moving creature. It is given an expanded neck and fearsome jaws. The Bandersnatch are a species which are found in the planet Jinx and is said to live in the high pressure areas by the shore of Jinx's main body of water. Jafar and the Red Queen decide to look for the perfect beast to send after Alice in order to make her use a wish. They do this in front of Cyrus in hopes of getting a reaction off of him to indicate the perfect beast. At the mention of the Bandersnatch, Cyrus gives a fain worried look, when in reality he knows they're easy to defeat. The Red Queen and Jafar then go down to the dungeons and give the Bandersnatch Alice's scent, knowing it won't stop until it has her. The Bandersnatch tracks Alice and Will down to the Grendel's house, just as they're about to escape from being his prisoner. The beast breaks inside and knocks the Grendel out. Alice and Will come up with a plan and hide behind the Forget-Me-Knot to create an image of them hiding behind it. The Bandersnatch falls for it and stic The Bandersnatch is a character in Tim Burton's 2010 film Alice in Wonderland. he is unkowong the main antagonist in the film. The Bandersnatch was a Tyrant - B.O.W. model type developed by the Umbrella Corporation in 1998. The name originates from Lewis Carroll's poems The Hunting of the Snark and Jabberwocky, which give no description of the creature. The Bandersnatches were developed as a more affordable version of the Tyrant-class B.O.W. Nevertheless, due to the flawed processes used in their creation and in the cut costs, parts of their anatomy tended to atrophy away within moments of their creation; the atrophied parts were often their left arms. To compensate for this damage, the T-Virus responded by allowing much greater control of their right arms. The remaining appendages were increased in mass and size to become as thick and resilient as their torsos, introducing the ability to stretch beyond normal limits, almost to five metres. Thanks to this, their preferred method of attack is to strike from afar, pinning their victims against a wall and crushing their skulls. Bandersnatches typically have multicolored fur, with parts of the face, tail, legs, and belly always being white, and the remaining fur being almost any possible color. Both males and females sport horns of varied colors and patterns, and while males typically have more horns than females, this is not always the case, with the possibility of a bandersnatch possesing as few as two horns, or as many as nine. Females are consistently larger than their male counterparts, and sport mustaches growing from their upper lips from birth which are carefully groomed. Bandersnatch (Pesvastus dissimulatus) is a form of sasquatch that has been infected with the Human-Metahuman Vampiric Virus (HMHVV) but without manifestation of the vampiric aspects of the virus. It's coat is more mangy-looking than a normal sasquatch and it's strong arms are more elongated as well. It has the teeth of a carnivore, and it does prefer fresh meat, either still alive or recently killed. The supreme advantage the bandersnatch has against its prey is the ability to refract light around its body, making it virtually invisble to the naked eye. Since it refracts lightwaves, ultraviolet and infrared wavelengths are affected as well. Combined with the sasquatch's mimicry ability, and the bandersnatch becomes a powerful hunter indeed. The supreme advantage the bandersnatch has against its prey is the ability to refract light around its body, making it virtually invisible to the naked eye. Since it refracts lightwaves, ultraviolet and infrared wavelengths are affected as well. The concealment effect looks very much like the Predator from the eponymous film starring Senator Schwarzenegger. Combined with the sasquatch's mimicry ability, the bandersnatch becomes a powerful hunter indeed. The Bandersnatch is a fictional creature mentioned in Lewis Carroll's poems Jabberwocky and The Hunting of the Snark. The form or size of the creature is not described, nor is it clear whether "Bandersnatch" is singular, like Phoenix. The only description given of it is that the hero should "shun the frumious Bandersnatch." Other advice given to the beamish hero proving quite accurate, one must dismiss the possibility that the speaker within the poem was uninformed about the Bandersnatch, which, however, does not actually make an appearance in "Jabberwocky." Thus it is clear that the Bandersnatch is not of a size or character to be embraced. Elsewhere in Through the Looking-Glass, however, it is implied (but not stated) that a Bandersnatch is quick-moving, and that there may be more than one of it when the White King says: "She runs so fearfully quick. You might as well try to catch a Bandersnatch!" It is not stated whether there are non-frumious Bandersnatches, or whether these can be approached safely, merely that the hero of the poem must shun a Bandersnatch that is frumious. At the same time, it may be that 'frumious' is not a merely descriptive adjective, but a definitive one, describing the essential quality of the Bandersnatch. 'Frumious' is a portmanteau word combining 'furious' and 'fuming.' Jafar and the Red Queen decide to look for the perfect beast to send after Alice in order to make her use a wish. The Bandersnatch falls for it and sticks its head into the rope. Alice begins to choke the Bandersnatch but has trouble from stopping it attacking the Grendel. However, it is soon defeated when Will stabs it and it evaporates into the air. Sensing the beast has been defeated, Jafar angrily realizes that he was fooled by Cyrus. ("Forget Me Not") The Bandersnatches were developed as a more affordable version of the Tyrant-class B.O.W. Nevertheless, due to the flawed processes used in their creation and in the cut costs, parts of their anatomy tended to atrophy away within moments of their creation; the atrophied parts were often their left arms. The Bandersnatch (Pulcratherium frumiousii) is a herbivorous herd animal native to the Kaaran continent of Cloistering Expectancy. Once common across the Warrum Plains, the Bandersnatch was almost wiped out by overhunting by local Sangheili, and was long thought extinct until 2552, when a relic population was discovered in the Narteca Highlands. A vigorous recovery and reintroduction effort has seen these majestic animals restored to their native habitats, though not anywhere close to the numbers they once roamed in. The Bandersnatch is a reptilian herbivore, that once travelled in vast herds across the Kaaran continent. Approximately eight meters long, the Bandersnatch is covered in bony platelets, as well as dermal scutes that serve as a type of natural protective chainmail. The Bandersnatch is the largest herbivore on Kaaran, reaching 14 meters in length, and possesses considerable bulk. In addition to its scales and scutes, a dense layer of fat also protects against attacks, and has demonstrated the ability to neutralise some poisons. Their legs are stout and well muscled, supporting a thickset body and a tail, which can be used to lash a nearby predator. The skull is extremely dense, protecting the brain and allowing it to head-butt predators and rivals. Their possess extremely strong jaw muscles, allowing them to snap branches off trees or, in defence, shatter bones. Bandersnatches are herd animals, finding safety in numbers. In their hayday, they roamed the Warrum plains in herds of thousands, virtually immune from attack. Today, their last remnants, the Mountain Bandersnatch, travels through the Narteca Highlands in family groups, usually of up to twelve or less. Initial reintroduction efforts have shown that this is an environmental development – once in an open region with abundant food, herds become significantly larger. Herds are led by matriarchs, and are often comprised solely of females and their young. Once they reach maturity, male Bandersnatches leave the herd, leading solitary lives. Bandersnatches also display sexual dimorphism – males are often larger than females, at 17 meters, and possess scutes that are elongated to serve as spikes. Females show an enlargened braincase, and are slightly more intelligent than the males. Bandersnatches were once the main prey for the Jabberwock, Cliostering Expectancy’s apex predator. As the Bandersnatch numbers dwindled, Jabberwocks were forced to search for prey in other areas, encroaching on inhabited Sangheili territory and the territories of other Jabberwocks. The loss of the Bandersnatch has seen the fractioning of the Bandersnatch population, as well as other imbalances in the ecosystems. Without the herbivores, forests have swelled and taken over former grassland. Plant species that relied on the Bandersnatch to distribute seeds and pollen have become extinct, and with them have gone nunmerous insect species. The Rath population has boomed, and they have become a pest in many areas where once they were outcompeted by the larger Bandersnatch. Today, in the Narteca Highlands their only predator is the Kaaran Snark, a subspecies introduced from Balaho. Before its near-extinction, there many supspecies of Bandersnatch, each subtly specialising in different niches – forests, plains, marshes, riverbeds, even mountain Bandersnatches. As the Sangheili of Cloistering Expectancy spread across the continent, they hunted most of these species to extinction. Their bones served as construction materials, forming hut frameworks over which skins were laid; their meat could feed an entire family for weeks; and their fat could neutralise poisons and venoms, providing shamans with medicinal remedies. As the Bandersnatch population diminished, it became regarded as a sacred animal and was protected from further hunting, but cultural bias saw large numbers continue to be slaughtered until at last, the majority were extinct. A small relict population lives on in the Narteca Highlands, a remnants of the Mountain Bandersnatches, and as a gesture of conciliation the Nartecan Nation have allowed Morhekan biologists to study and capture a small number. A rehabilitation effort is underway, including breeding programs and limited terraforming, to reintroduce a bolstered Bandersnatch population back into the wild to restore balance to the ecosystem. Although Bandersnatch doesn't appear in the book, it is described as a swift moving creature. It is given an expanded neck and fearsome jaws. The Bandersnatch was a Tyrant - B.O.W. model type developed by the Umbrella Corporation in 1998. The name originates from Lewis Carroll's poems The Hunting of the Snark and Jabberwocky, which give no description of the creature. The Bandersnatch is a fictional creature mentioned in Lewis Carroll's poems Jabberwocky and The Hunting of the Snark. The form or size of the creature is not described, nor is it clear whether Bandersnatch is singular, like the Phoenix. The Bandersnatch are a species which are found in the planet Jinx and is said to live in the high pressure areas by the shore of Jinx's main body of water. In "The Hunting of the Snark", while the party searches for the Snark, the Banker runs ahead and encounters a Bandersnatch: And the Banker, inspired with a courage so new It was matter for general remark, Rushed madly ahead and was lost to their view In his zeal to discover the Snark. But while he was seeking with thimbles and care, A Bandersnatch swiftly drew nigh And grabbed at the Banker, who shrieked in despair, For he knew it was useless to fly. He offered large discount—he offered a check (Drawn "to bearer") for seven-pounds-ten: But the Bandersnatch merely extended its neck And grabbed at the Banker again. Without rest or pause—while those frumious jaws Went savagely snapping around— He skipped and he hopped, and he floundered and flopped, Till fainting he fell to the ground. The Bandersnatch fled as the others appeared Led on by that fear-stricken yell: And the Bellman remarked "It is just as I feared!" And solemnly tolled on his bell. Anna Matlack Richards's A New Alice in the Old Wonderland, contains a broader description given of the Bandersnatch with the poem, "Bandersnatchy". In this poem, the White Knight sets out to slay the frumious Bandersnatch so as to gain respect from his people against the hero who slew the Jabberwock (a story he would sit and tell till after ten o'clock). It is necessary to be armed with a vorpal sword or a winxy pistol, because one never can tell what a Bandersnatch might do. According to the hero, the Bandersnatch is a queer thing that whizzles overhead causing him to believe it is up a tree, only to his surprise its legs are awfully high. It pleads the hero not to shoot only to fool him and fly away. The hero grabs its tail and cuts it off as his trophy. The hero describes the creature as being extremely long legged with a long tail as well and the ability to fly extremely fast. It could be understood that the Bandersnatch perhaps camouflages itself as a tree, given the explanation understood by the hero's description. There is an illustration by the author's daughter, Anna Richards Brewster, of the hero's encounter with the Bandersnatch. The Bandersnatch is a scary monster mentioned in Lewis Carroll's poems Jabberwocky and The Hunting of th e Snark. The Bandersnatch is a character in Tim Burton's 2010 film Alice in Wonderland. he is unkowong the main antagonist in the film.
