"Jarv Chent was a male Human who, in 109 ABY, was a server and informal bouncer at the Miner's Daughter bar on Vedros IV. Bald and of imposing physical stature, he got to know the bar's regular customers by name, but had little patience for loafers and freeloaders and would eject people who weren't ordering. Jarv had served as a ship mechanic during the reign of the Tetrarchy of Mezlagob and gained some experience with pirates and corrupt customs officials; by middle age, he had long been in the habit of carrying a hold-out blaster in a concealed ankle holster, and he was a proficient shot with the weapon. Though he never crossed paths with the Nightside Raiders, Jarv had several colleagues in the field who did and died for their trouble. When his ship could not find enough work, the crew members all went their separate ways. Jarv briefly crewed a tibanna mining ship harvesting the valuable gas from Vedros. When he was injured on the job, he was laid off with compensation pay. After recovering, he began working at the Miner's Daughter. Jarv was acquainted with Renamo Kemset, and was privately amused by the unconfident Nei's attempts to court fellow Nei Fiducia Crassim. Like his colleague Warda Grobb, Jarv was protective of his \"family\" of coworkers at the bar. When Kilwyo Kesh and a gang of his Nightside Raiders visited the bar, Jarv recognized them immediately and identified them to the rest of the staff. He advised discretion and silence, knowing Kesh's reputation for sadism and brutality, but was obviously tensed to fight himself when the Raiders mocked a female Ousan server and molested Fiducia. When Renamo stabbed Kesh to death, Jarv joined the fight immediately, firing into the pack of surviving pirates. A Mezzel dealt Renamo a blow with a vibroblade; as the Mezzel went for the kill, Jarv shot him in the face. In the aftermath of the brawl at the Miner's Daughter, Jarv continued to work at the bar, achieving a minor celebrity along with his coworkers. He advised Fiducia not to waste her time on Renamo after the young man began squandering his reward money, disappointed in how Renamo had reacted to fame and wealth, but did not try to stop her from going after him. When Renamo and Fiducia reconciled and were married, they opened a chain of restaurants on Classaeria. At Fiducia's insistence, they hired Jarv as head of security. Jarv maintained a tongue-in-cheek attitude of gruffness toward Renamo, but was very fond of Fiducia and the Kemsets' children."@en . . . . . "72"^^ . . "Blue"@en . "Jarv Chent"@en . "1.83"^^ .
