Marle
rdfs:comment
Marle (マール Māru?, Marl in Japanese media) is a character in Chrono Trigger. She is the princess of Guardia. Her real name is Princess Nadia (マールディア Mārudia?, for Marldia), and she is often at odds with her father, the King. Born in 984 A.D. Later in the game, an optional sidequest fleshes out the troubles between Marle and her father. Marle is a character from the Super Nintendo Entertainment System and Nintendo DS role-playing game Chrono Trigger. She is also known as Nadia, the Princess in the Kingdom of Guardia in 1000 A.D. She doesn't like being a Princess, so she leaves Guardia Castle and travels under the name Marle. Her father is King Guardia XXXIII, and they are both descendents of King Guardia XXI and Queen Leene. Marle was an escaped raider fugitive, who fled with her boyfriend to Boston Common, where they were both killed by Swan. Marle is a character in the video-game Chrono Trigger. Marle lives in the year 1000 AD, the game's "present" and first meets the games protagonist, Crono, at the Millennial Fair of Leena Square. Marle introduces herself to Crono and asks him to escort her around, soon Crono takes her to see his friend, Lucca, a young genius who was using the Fair to unveil her newly crafted teleportation device. After using Crono as a test subject for the demonstration, Marle asks to take a ride on the teleportation pad as well. When the device is activated though it reacts differently for Marle and instead of being teleported Marle falls through a rift in time back to the year 600AD. Crono promptly has Lucca reopen the rift and leaps into the past on a quest to save her. Marle is eventually discovered in Marle is one of the main characters from Chrono Trigger. She is also the fifth character from that game to make a contest, after Crono, Magus, Frog, and Lavos. Sadly, she wouldn't share their success, as she would be soundly defeated by Aeris Gainsborough in round one of the Summer 2006 Contest. Marle is a young cleric of Sarenrae. She worked at the Stone Temple in Tarren's Junction, as the solitary representative of her god. She aided the party in the aftermath of the Azirax encounter. Feeling that her purpose in the Valley had been served, Marle went off in search of adventure, and moved to Dejune. These days she works in the Fallen Sword, and enjoys the slightly more exciting life Dejune offers. Girlfriend of Crono, Marle was one of the people who helped save her world from Lavos, an entity of immense power. After being banished by Lucca into the world of Final Fantasy IV, and captured by an overly affectionate Kain, she has been recruited by Rydia of Mist to recover the Shard of Tears. Unfortunately, she's going to have to overcome the hurdle of being turned into a Tetris Block. Marle is a playable character in Chrono Trigger. She is really Nadia, the Princess of Guardia, but she hates formal titles, and prefers to be called Marle. She fights with a Bow, and her element is Water, even though she uses Ice spells.
