The planet was unremarkable, save for being the home of the Wolf Raiders, a near-human Pirate band. A small world with a fast rotation, Balgus Star was notable in the fact that it was surrounded by a planetary ring, rather unusual for a small, rocky planet. The world had only a single moon, but it was likely that the planetary ring was formed out of the remnants of one or more others that had collided or collapsed. The planet was rather dry, featuring only a single small inland sea. Much of its surface was made up of desert or dry grasslands with very little irrigable land. Much of its surface was flat and open, save for a single mountain range. Not much of the surface had been developed, the population instead concentrating on mining the mineral-rich ring."@en . . .
