The European country he comes from is probably either a Scandinavian country, Germany, or the Netherlands because of his name and also because those countries do a lot of farming. As he comes from a another land, he has a misunderstanding of the other characters' culture, and they have misunderstanding of his, and he is easily offended by the Eds and goes to frighteningly extreme lengths for closure. In Dueling Eds, Eddy unintentionally insults him by throwing a sea cucumber ball in the fence emotionally hurting him. Then Edd makes Eddy gives Rolf a plant as a token of apolagy, but Rolf thinks of it as another insult, as the , "Potted Shrub of Ridicule" and challenges Eddy to a duel, during wich Eddy trys to apologizing again, Rolf ask if this is true has he brought the "Cupcakes of Sorriness?" Eddy says no an Rolf proseeds to hiting him with a fish until Eddy falls of the trunk In "No Speak Da Ed", Ed's pen pal's gifts makes Rolf think Ed is joining the Wolf (Rolfs enemy.) Rolf captures the trio, ties Eddy and Edd up and tortures Ed by dunking his head into a bucket of grease, but to no avail, "The Ed-Boy's fortitude is to be ADMIRED!" Until Jonny gave Double D a feather duster from Gerta the Goat Milker from Norway and Rolf realizes it's "the Feather Duster of Tomfoolery!" And in a bid to get the last laugh Rolf mails the Eds to Norway to have them shave the hairs from her back, "And Rolf will triumph with the last laugh!" In "Will Work for Ed", Rolf hired Ed to work at his farm. He was very harsh towards him, almost like a work horse, but later Edd had an appointment with him and covinced him to be more pleasent. In Ed, Edd n Eddy's Big Picture Show, Rolf was seen with chunks of flesh chomped off his torso, arm and the bump on his head. Rolf in a fit of rage tried to exact his revenge on the Eds after their latest scam did a number on the kids and the Lane he tried to pull Ed out of Eddy's Brother's car but Double D and Eddy saved him. Rolf quickly regrouped with the other kids and were about to murder the Eds but thanks to Double D's efforts, the Eds managed to shake them off as they made their escape. Rolf with his pig Wilfred and a boatload of supplies, including the Pitchfork of Retribution and three trophy mounts for each head of the Ed-Boys; traced the crashed car to a remote desert where Rolf tried to gather foreensic evidence of the Eds, but the evidence was devoured by his foolish pig. Rolf followed the Ed's trail to a cattle ranch where he promptly lost Wilfred, tried to find him, got beaten up, and finally got his head hopelessly stuck in a meat grinder, which he futilely tried to pull off until he got rammed by the Kanker Sister's wagon. Rolf along with Nazz and Kevin, albeit tied up by the Kankers, managed to catch up to the Eds who had apparently reached the trailer home of Eddy's Older Brother. With their quest for vengeance seemingly given all for not, Rolf, the Kids (minus Jonny and Plank), and Ed and Double D finally saw Eddy's Brother's true colors. Realizing that Eddy's Brother was nothing more than a sadistic bully who loved to pick on his little brother, only then did Rolf and the others see that Eddy wasn't really a jerk after all, his scams and antics were a cry for help and friendship, and that's all what Eddy wanted and his Brother never gave him that, (albeit Eddy picked up the belittling and manhandling of others from his brother). Rolf was the first one to stand up to Eddy's Brother, and slowly but surely the other kids picked up the pace, and with Ed's help, the kids were finally able to defeat Eddy's Brother. After Eddy said that he lied about his brother and he made stuff up to try to be cool but was wrong all along, wondering when he'll ever learn. Rolf and the Kids charged at the Eds, but after Eddy quickly and honestly apologized, the Kids embraced the Eds and accepted them as their new friends, Rolf gave Eddy the Armpit Rub of Victory. But the celebration was cut short when foolish Jonny and Plank came to exact revenge on the Eds, and briefly succeeded, but then, Sarah, Kevin, then Rolf and Nazz proceeded to pound Jonny to a miserable, broken and battered, tongue-tied pulp. Apologizing for the inconvenience, Kevin suggested they return to his house for a jawbreaker party galore. Rolf was last seen carrying Eddy back to Kevin's house at the Peach Creek Cul-De-Sac while singing the Friendship Song and thus the series came to a close."@en . . . . . . . "?"@en . Despite his noble lineage being highly questionable, the nobles of Calradia believe his claim, and you will not lose any relationship points with the lords if you promote Rolf to lordship. If you travel near the village of Ehlerdah, he will tell you that the Swadian king declared the woods near the village his personal hunting grounds. According to him, an impoverished farmer and his family were desperate to survive, and risked poaching in the forest. The king found out about this, and ordered the family executed. The father's sons, not wishing to go the way of their parents, gathered together a group of ruffians and fled to the forest, preying on passersby and living off the land, and turning the forest into a haven for desperate or unsavory characters. Rolf will simply say he was captured by them and they intended to ransom him, but escaped, and he will say no more. Deshavi, however, will say more; according to her, he was once a bandit amongst a group called the Brethren of the Woods. Rolf does not discuss this and instead focuses on how Deshavi, a woman "of basest birth" refuses to address him by title or honorific, something he dislikes. "Rolf (ヨファ Yofa, Lofa in the Japanese version) is a playable character in Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance and Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn. He is the youngest member of the Greil Mercenaries and the younger brother of Oscar and Boyd. He is a mature, loyal young man. He was first taught how to use a bow by Shinon, so that, like Mist, he could be of some use to the group rather than staying behind every time the company went to work. Shinon told Rolf during his training never to tell anyone who taught him, and he remained faithful to that promise, although his eldest brother, Oscar, could detect the secret. Shinon never told anyone, either, respecting Rolf's oath. A special Info Conversation reveals that he is Oscar's and Boyd's half-brother: they share the same father and have two different mothers. When Rolf was an infant, she abandoned her sons and their bedridden father for another love interest, leaving Oscar to take care of the family. Although Rolf is given the opportunity to live with his mother, and she begs for him to return, he chooses to stay with his brothers, saying that she is a stranger to him, considering the fact that she abandoned him, his brothers and his sickly father when he was a baby just to be with another man, and that he would prefer staying in the company of what he considers his true family: Oscar, Boyd, and the rest of the Greil Mercenaries. He can perform a Triangle Attack with his brothers under certain conditions, being that Oscar and Boyd are upgraded classes with the ability to use bows. This is a default setting in Radiant Dawn (keep in mind that Oscar must be a Silver Knight, and Boyd must be equipped with a crossbow of some kind), but optional in Path of Radiance."@en . "Leo"@en . "Rolf is an immigrant from a far and distant culture known to us only as The Old Country. The most evidence was shown in "No Speak Da Ed." There, it was revealed that he is familiar with a trickster named Gerta who lives in Norway. During flashbacks in that episode, he is seen being chased by what appears to be someone in a wolf costume. Rolf works on his parents' small farm within the Cul-de-Sac and leads a scouting group called the Urban Rangers; a Boy Scout-like group consisting of Jimmy, Plank, and Jonny. Rolf often refers to himself in third person, as well as being the "son of a shepherd," in which he takes great pride. He hardly minds the Eds unless they make a fool out of him or insult his culture, after which he is not afraid to use brute force. When his superhuman strength is unleashed, it rivals Ed's; however, it should be considered that he is the second strongest character in the show, since he was seen lifting a tree with difficulty while Ed can lift a house single handed. Regardless, Rolf's strength depends on his mood rather than his biology. In multiple episodes, Rolf is shown to have green teeth. As shown in "If It Smells Like an Ed," he has an obsession with jujubes. Rolf, like the other kids, shares the same infatuation with jawbreakers. Rolf confuses the rest of the kids with his unusual customs, sayings, and food-making. He is one of the few characters who gets respect from all the kids. His best friend is Kevin, and he relates well with Jonny, as he tends to be an outsider as well. Rolf has a very strong accent and is exceptionally hairy. Although he has not revealed his age, he claims that his hair is premature (as mentioned in "Scrambled Ed"). He has a strong liking for meat, and when he agreed on a bet to not eat meat for a whole day, he became severely emaciated almost instantly, not even having enough strength to open the cafeteria door or bite through celery. Seafood is shown to be an integral part of Rolf's traditions in many episodes, particularly in "Dueling Eds," in which sea cucumbers, dead fish and eels are featured, and in "Button Yer Ed," in which Rolf's breakfast feast is shown to be composed entirely of seafood. Nobody except Rolf and his family knows what country he is from. It is apparently fictional, though often suggested by fans to be a Northern or Eastern European country.
