Homeworld: Shili Description: The Togruta are a humanoid species from the planet Shili. They live in tribes and work together to defeat massive beasts of their homeworld. Similar to the Twi'lek, they have two tails protruding from either side their head. They also have a third tail that hangs down their back, which is thicker and heavier than the others. This contains brain tissue. Togruta have two horn-like protrusions growing from the top of their head. These are hollow, and known as 'Montral'. The Togruta don't pay much attention to these theories, noting their special resemblance in coloration and physiology to the tree-dwelling Shilin Groogle, who they believe is rightly their primitive ancestor. However they developed, Shili has been instrumental in shaping the Togruta culture, which is highly tribal, and still, by most standards, a little backward. The Shilin jungles where the Togruta make their stone cities are completely open to the wilds of the untamed world, neccesitating strong social ties between Togruta. All Togruta go through right of passage rituals within the jungle, where they learn to hunt the native Pygboscid and avoid the ravenous predators of Shili's jungles. This intimacy with the world of Shili has made it rare for Togruta to leave their homeworld, and lent them an air of mystery.
