Freyja
rdfs:comment
Freyja is one of the Valkyries, a race of powerful Demi-Goddesses from Valhalla. She appears to be the leader of the Valkyries and seems to be the voice of reason and direction. Freyja was once known as a benevolent goddess, capable of loving all living beings. On iRO, this character is localized as Freya. A werewolf who has begun to contest for the right to lead the pack; traditionally, the Freyja will call the pack leader out to fight to the death. A wolf must reach the second in command status before they can issue the challenge for leadership. Freyja rules over her heavenly afterlife field Fólkvangr and there receives half of those that die in battle, whereas the other half go to the god Odin's hall, Valhalla. Within Fólkvangr is her hall, Sessrúmnir. Freyja assists other deities by allowing them to use her feathered cloak, is invoked in matters of fertility and love, and is frequently sought after by powerful jötnar who wish to make her their wife. Freyja's husband, the god Óðr, is frequently absent. She cries tears of red gold for him, and searches for him under assumed names. Freyja has numerous names, including Gefn, Hörn, Mardöll, Sýr, Valfreyja, and Vanadís. Freyja (also Frøya, Frøjya, Freja or Freya) is one of the major deities in Norse mythology and the Norse goddess of love, war, and witchcraft, as well as the queen of the Valkyries. She is the daughter of Njörðr and sister to Freyr. She owns the necklace Brísingamen and a chariot pulled by cats. Freyja is a character that appears in the fanon story Highschool ExC. She is a chief deity of the Norse mythology, alongside Odin, her ex-husband. She is also the Queen of Asgard, despite not being the wife of Odin. Freyja is the second wanderer in from the Sun. Its year is 224.7 Earth days. The loft on the tungle is thick indeed, making it the hottest wanderer in the Sunhood. The ground heat is always at least 735 K (462 °C, 864 °F), and the mean heat is 735 K (462 °C; 863 °F). The welkin is 96 in each 100 bits coalstuff two-sourstuff, and, forof of its thickness, is 92 times heavier than that of Earth at sea height. Freyja is shrouded by leamless swevelsour clouds, such that the ground cannot be seen from Earth. The tungle's ground is dry and rocky; with much more firebergs than on Earth. Freyja grants substantial improvements to cavalry. Her myth unit, the Valkyrie, looks and functions like a cavalry unit. It can also heal friendly units – a significant boost for an attacking Norse army. Freyja's technologies improve Valkyrie and the human cavalry units (Raiding Cavalry and Jarls), granting all of them more speed and hit points. For Raiding Cavalry, this makes raiding even quicker, and, when supported by a Valkyrie or two, they can be healed too to carry on the attack quickly. More fighting also means more Favor, which means Valkyries can be trained more quickly. Freyr and Freyja come from Germanic words meaning "lord" and "lady" respectively (cf. German Frau "woman, wife", Gothic Frauja "the Lord"). While there are some sources suggesting that she was called on to bring fruitfulness to fields or wombs, in Eddas she was portrayed as a goddess of fertility, love, beauty, and attraction. Freyja was also a goddess of war, death, magic, prophecies and wealth. Freyja is cited as receiving half of the dead lost in battle in her hall Sessrúmnir, whereas Odin would receive the other half. Freyja ("lady sovereign/supreme") is one of the major goddesses of Norse Mythology. She is second only to Frigg and the mightiest of the Vanir. Freyja is the goddess of love, sexuality, war, death and seidr. Freyja is in many aspects the feminine counterpart of Odin. Her brother is Freyr. Lagertha invokes her when she tries to cleanse Ragnar's wound and when training her sheildmaidens. When Porunn dispairs, Aslaug tells her to turn to Freyja for guidence. Freyja is a chacater in The Island at the Top of the World. She's the girlfriend of Donald Ross. Image:Stub.png This character article is a stub. You can help Disney Wiki by [ expanding it]. Freyja (フレイヤ Fureiya?) is a character introduced in Shinyaku Toaru Majutsu no Index as a member of GREMLIN. She is a magician, a strange system that is born out of the relationship between a mother and child, the latter being a fetus whom from the womb controls her mother's body and mind. She is present during the GREMLIN invasion of Tokyo, and delays Kamijou Touma in his quest to stop Othinus. After her defeat at the hands of Touma and Index, the magician known as Freyja ceases to exist, though the mother and child live on. Correspondingly, Freyja was at times one of the most popular goddesses. According to Snorri's Ynglinga saga, Freyja was a skilled practitioner of the seiðr form of magic and introduced it amongst the Æsir. A werewolf who has begun to contest for the right to lead the pack; traditionally, the Freyja will call the pack leader out to fight to the death. A wolf must reach the second in command status before they can issue the challenge for leadership. Freyja was once known as a benevolent goddess, capable of loving all living beings. On iRO, this character is localized as Freya. Freyja is one of the Valkyries, a race of powerful Demi-Goddesses from Valhalla. She appears to be the leader of the Valkyries and seems to be the voice of reason and direction. Freyja's god power, Forest Fire, burns down a group of trees, often destroying nearby buildings. Naturally it is more useful on well-wooded maps. She is the primal völva and the one that taught Odin the art of seidr, and is also the leader of the valkyries. Half of the dead taken by the valkyries belong to her and she receives the dead noble women and shieldmaidens. She has many ways of traveling. Sometimes she rides a cart driven by her two cats or rides her great boar. She also takes the shape of a falcon, a shape she may lend to any one. Freyja is the most beautiful of the goddesses and desired by both gods, giants and dwarfs. Lagertha invokes her when she tries to cleanse Ragnar's wound and when training her sheildmaidens. When Porunn dispairs, Aslaug tells her to turn to Freyja for guidence. As Freyja spors inward of Earth's path, it can be seen in the morning and in the evening, but never at night. It can also seem rather bright, showing in the swail before stars can be seen. Forof this, it is often called the "Morning Star" or the "Evening Star". Also, like Hermod and the Moon, it casts many blees of lighting. Freyja is a character that appears in the fanon story Highschool ExC. She is a chief deity of the Norse mythology, alongside Odin, her ex-husband. She is also the Queen of Asgard, despite not being the wife of Odin. Freyja is attested in the Poetic Edda, compiled in the 13th century from earlier traditional sources; in the Prose Edda and Heimskringla, both written by Snorri Sturluson in the 13th century; in several Sagas of Icelanders; in the short story Sörla þáttr; in the poetry of skalds; and into the modern age in Scandinavian folklore. Scholars have theorized about whether or not Freyja and the goddess Frigg ultimately stem from a single goddess common among the Germanic peoples; about her connection to the valkyries, female battlefield choosers of the slain; and her relation to other goddesses and figures in Germanic mythology, including Gullveig/Heiðr, Gefjon, and Skaði. Freyja's name appears in numerous place names in Scandinavia, with a high concentration in southern Sweden. Various plants in Scandinavia once bore her name but were replaced with the name of the Virgin Mary during the process of Christianization. Rural Scandinavians continued to acknowledge Freyja as a supernatural figure into the 19th century, and Freyja has inspired various works of art. Freyja is a chacater in The Island at the Top of the World. She's the girlfriend of Donald Ross. Image:Stub.png This character article is a stub. You can help Disney Wiki by [ expanding it].
