Prophet of Truth
rdfs:comment
The High Prophet of Truth, born Ord Casto, and formerly known as the Minister of Fortitude, was the leader of the three Prophet Hierarchs that led the Covenant High Council during the Ninth Age of Reclamation, the central antagonist in Halo 2 and 3, and one of the main instigators of the war against humanity. In 2552, he plotted the ousting of the Sangheili from the Covenant, and replaced them with the Jiralhanae after the death of the High Prophet of Regret on Installation 05. After the demise of the High Prophet of Mercy on High Charity, he became the de facto leader of the Covenant, from which position he lead their forces to the Artifact in Africa, and eventually to the Ark in an attempt to activate the Halo Array, where he was later killed by Thel 'Vadam. . As a character, he is widely considered to be the main antagonist of Halo 2 and Halo 3, and the main enemy of Thel 'Vadam. The High Prophet of Truth was the leader of the three Prophet Hierarchs that led the Covenant Empire (the others being the Prophet of Mercy and the Prophet of Regret), and one of the main instigators of the war against Humanity. After learning from a Forerunner AI that humanity were the ones meant to inherit the Forerunners' legacy, Truth and the other prophets decided to eradicate humanity to prevent the secret from coming out and sparking a revolt against them. His ultimate goal is to activate the Halo Rings and use them to become a god. He is one of the main antagonists of the Halo series, serving as the true main antagonist of Halo 2 and the main antagonist of Halo 3 alongside the Gravemind. He was voiced in Halo 2 by Michael Wincott, who also played Top Dollar, Philo Gant and Scroop, and in Halo 3 by Terence Stamp. . Image:Cquote1.pngYour destruction is the will of the gods, and we are their instrument. How was that? Was that too menacing? TRuth! Th3 v0IC3 0f Th3 K0v3N4Nt!Image:Cquote2.png — Truth on himself The Prophet of Truth was a lowly prophet in the Covenant society, yet popped three gangsters, Tolerance, Obligation and Restraint to get to power, as a High Prophet. He laughs with scorn. Over time, he has had a string of successful book deals, chronicling his rise of power through lowly cleric to Master of the Sith Order. He is also the author of (shudder) the Great Covenant Book of Jokes, which is also, disturbingly, a biography. A long time ago in a distant country, Truth lived in the Near East of Cybertron. He wore a life accommodated in his fine neighborhood playing porn games on camels during the week and seeking for food in the dump. At that time he adopted the custom of praying towards Jerusalem for three hours and sometimes for a day and sometimes in the morning and sometimes in the afternoon and sometimes in the evening with the windows open in his balcony at the same time that his neighbor came out from his house asking for water for his flowers and wearing a cleavage. Truth and his brothers Mercy and Regret always trusted that someday, Jesus was going to come down from the sky and bring them beers. When Truth was teen, he was a fan of the novels of fiction and spent much time daydreaming with the flying carpets from Persia, doing juggling on balls on the roof and looking at the stars with his telescope at the same time that his neighbor came out from his house asking for water for his flowers. Then his mother always advised him in slightly elevated decibel: Truth, it will be better that you change your habits or else you will die!. -Truth's mother. Then Truth took so much time to reflect on what his mother said to him that he didn't understood until his old age. Once he understood, Truth got enraged and seeking for revenge he founded High Charity in the space with the help of his followers to kill his mother, however his mother died a long time ago. Then Truth used High Charity to his evil plans of become a god and keep the neighborhood in peace. The only one who was injured at times was his neighbor, M. Bison, who was considered a threat to Truth. Until the Elites, Brutes, Grunts and Jackals came and ruined Truth's privacy in High Charity (Mercy and Regret died by cancer that day).
