"Almost nothing of Shade's personal history is not known regardless of attempts by Salarian STG, Alliance and even Turian Intelligence and various other intellgence agencies to gain information on the hackers identity. The hacker's first belived emergence was three weeks after the first contact war when the 1st, 3rd and 5th Turian fleets were all simultanously taken offline. This caused chaos in the Turian Hierarchy for several months as they attempted to figure out the problem and bring their ships back online to no avail. Eventually they were forced ask the quarians for help in the ships repair, much to their humiliation. Soon after the incident the Council launched a full investigation but turned up nothing there no cyber or paper trails on the hacker and they were not even able to determine his gender or even species which at the time was also unknown. Eventually because the investgation was going nowhere the council had no choice but to close the case. Years later in 2184 on the first anniversery of Commander Shepard's 'death' several live galactic news feeds were hijacked the hacker identifing himself as 'Shade'. He then proceeded to taunt the members of the former investigation team and revealed their names, species and places of residence. Shade then goaded them further by stating that he was male and mockingly hoped that it helped. Before anyone could come close to tracing the hijack Shade released the news feeds and the Galactic community was left in a state of shock. With this new piece of information the investigation was re-opened this team the team was scrambled up with new members from non-council and non-citadel species including humans and quarians. Unlike ghosts; they are not bound to the mortal realm by some curse. Instead; they pass on to the next world/s naturally. They can return to the world only if there are enough ghosts and phantoms (with whom they are closely related) occupying the same haunt. This creates a sort of doorway between both worlds, allowing the shades to come over into the world (but not to leave the haunt). This results in the spawning of poltergeists (a mischiefess species of which can breed). Also; the more shades move into a haunt, the bigger the haunt becomes. It is an interesting symbiotic relationship. All shades are evil, which means either; the next world is an evil place, or the haunts can only access one or more parts of the next world that evil people go to. Due to the fact the holy objects work against ghosts, phantoms, shades, and poltergeists , however; the Christain concept of Heaven and Hell is made extremely plausible (rendering the latter the more likely possibility). In whatever world the shades inhabit, they are all part of one transending consiousness. However, this conection does not extend across the barrier between the worlds. This means that however many shades are in the same haunt, they make up one mind. Shades are faster and stronger than any human. They have eyes that can see in pitch blackness, ears that can hear like a bat, and noses like blood hounds. They can turn invisible, and can kill by mere physicle contact (Dying inside a haunt is an unnatural death; so their victims become ghosts of the haunt after death). But perhaps the most terrifying ability of a shade is it's method of teleportation. They do it by dissapering in the haunt and reapearing in the next world, and vice-virsa. They automaticly know the geography of both their world and the haunt, so they can shift their locations at terrifying levels of speed. Shades have different shapes and sizes, but they are all united by the same trait (when they do allow you to see them) the shinning red aura that makes their shapes visible, but hides their exterior features. Shades can be killed by mere mortal methods of destruction, but they will return to the haunt shortly afterword. Also; if you kill one with a holy weapon, it will not be able to return to the haunt (unless it is somehow \"rehaunted\"), and will have to find a new haunt. The only ways a shade can be permanantly killed; are if it inadvertantly leaves it's haunt, or if the haunt is destroyed while said shade/s is/are still in it."@en . "Status:"@en . . "11"^^ . Her miniature spider mode is not very well defended, but her small size makes her a difficult target to hit. In her large spider mode Shade can detect and read nearly any radio message, and in her miniature mode she is virtually undetectable due to her tiny form. Unfortunately, all three of her forms are fairly vulnerable to physical attacks and she possesses little in the way of fighting back."@en . . . . . "15000"^^ . "11"^^ . . "45"^^ . . . . . . "27"^^ . Then, void came to him saying he can make him live forever and get revenge on all his ex-co-workers. Now as shade, he has the power to make any room he is in pitch black to scare his victims. Unlike BG-air, BG-line, BG-aura and BG-mesh, BG-shade does not display a graphical illustration of wind- or air movement. If objects are moving while BG-shade is on, a slowly fading trail will be following the object's movement. The trail's fade time is approximately half a second. If an element is covered with glass, the shadow disappears and the element will look how it is on BG-Non. This is useful when creating text in BG-Shade, as the shadow can make the text hard to read. If used along with grid 7 it is possible to determine the exact location of glass and the shade of the grid lines will turn the background color grey, making Metal invisible instead."@en . . . . . "The Shade is a Terran insertion craft used mainly for stealth missions. Basically a highly sophisticated missile/escape pod hybrid, Shades are specifically built to hold one person at a time (Star Trek - TNG: The Emissary). Often used by Ghosts, these vessels are designed to be launched from larger crafts to black ops target areas with minimum detection (Halo - Legends: Booster Frame). Once launched, occupants can pilot the Shade in both space and atmosphere. Most of the time, Shades run as silently as possible to avoid being detected from radar and thermal scans. After the job is done, users can use the vessels again to return to a designated pick-up site. To avoid capture, Shades also come with a thermonuclear device to vaporize all traces of evidence and everything else unfortunate to be nearby. Special abilities: \n* Umbra coating - allows unit and Ghost to be permanently cloaked. Has a +25% chance of not being revealed depending on sight range of Detector \n* Self-destruct - detonates with a 250 (+100 vs structures) explosive splash damage after 30 seconds"@en . . . . . . . . . .
