With the beginning of World War II Lee returned to Canada to play for the Quebec Aces, the Montreal Royals, and the Montreal RCAF teams. In 1942-43 he was called up to the Montreal Canadiens as an injury replacement. Lee found his way back to Britain as a member of the Canadian military in World War II. When the war ended in 1945 Lee remained there and played one season for the Wembley Lions and then eight seasons for the Brighton Lions. He retired in 1954."@en . . . .
