Bob Brown (Born Dec 18 1950 in Toronto, Ontario) is a retired hockey defenceman. He played 80 games in the World Hockey Association (WHA) for the New York Raiders, Philadelphia Blazers, and the New York Golden Blades/New Jersey Knights. In those 80 games he scored 7 goals and 17 assists. The Montreal Canadiens chose him 80th overall in the 1970 NHL Amateur Draft. Bob Brown began his comic career after World War II. He joined Marvel Comics in the late 1940's as Assistant Editor to Stan Lee. Brown later worked with Joe Simon and Jack Kirby's Black Magic. Bob Brown also drew for Detective Comics in the 1950's. During the 1970's, Brown worked for both Marvel and D.C. After a long battle with leukemia, Brown died in 1977.
