He is the great-nephew of Francis Ford Coppola. Nicolas Cage (ニコラス·ケイジ, Nikorasu Keiji), known by his real name as Nicolas Kim Coppola, is a famous actor of Italian descent whom is also a Quincy. Nicolas "Nick" Cage is one of many actors who finds themselves in movies which are heavy on symbolism which is feverishly investigated by symbol hunters and synchromystic bloggers. The name "Nick" is a nickname for the devil, "Old Nick." This can be seen each year in the personage of Old Saint Nick, or Santa Claus whose very name is an anagram of "Satan." One particular symbol is this actors fitting association with fire.[1] thumb Nicolas Cage (7 de Enero de 1964, Lon Beach, California, Estados Unidos) es un actor estadounidense. Nicolas Cage was a famous American actor, son of August Coppola and nephew to Francis Ford Coppola; known for his roles in the films Raising Arizona, Face/Off, National Treasure, and many more. He also notably played the lead role of ex-convict Cameron Poe in one of John Egbert's favorite B-movies, Con Air (a film which John appeared in himself due to weird plot shit). He is one of John's idols and Vriska Serket's love interests. After viewing him as a street tough maverick with nothing to lose, Vriska builds a shrine to his name. He was assumed to have been killed with the rest of the population of Earth during The Reckoning, though Andrew Hussie swears that he had, in fact, ascended to god tier shortly before the apocalypse, thus fulfilling his role as the Nick of Time. Con Air is referenced many times throughout Homestuck, mainly through the use of John's birthday present, which happens to be the original stuffed bunny from the movie. The ending scene of Con Air, in which Poe reunites with his loving wife and daughter, was acted out in Homestuck, with John playing the role of Cameron Poe. The climax of the movie in which Poe warns an antagonist, Billy Bedlam, to "put the bunny back in the box" has also been referenced. Another memetic phrase in Homestuck is uttered by Nicolas Cage in the film Snake Eyes. His character, Rick Santoro, says to a close friend from the US Navy, Kevin Dunne, that despite being on duty as a bodyguard, he was viewing a nearby woman's breasts, inferring that part of the plan was "to give you a boner, and you got one". A memory splinter of Dirk Strider spouts the line to a dreaming Jake English, attempting to convince him that he has control over Jake's body. The end of the Flash animation, [S][A6I1] Karkat: Mental breakdown contains a link to an Easter Egg, citing the first appearance of Dark Cage, an unsettling palette swap of Nic Cage, while reciting the "boner" line with the pitch drastically decreased. The page was created because the song used in the Flash, Frustracean by Toby "Radiation" Fox, features an awkward two minutes of silence, followed by the "boner" clip, mimicking the similar ending of its sister song, Hardlyquin. At the ending to [S] Terry: Fast forward to Liv., a link to the second Dark Cage Flash appeared. This time, a drastically slowed down version of Michael Guy Bowman's cover of I Don't Want to Miss a Thing, followed by a lowered, eldritch "put the bunny back in the box" quote. On this page attempting to hit the play again button in the bottom left corner will result in it jumping around on the screen each time you try to touch it, until it finally turns into Cage's face and the "boner" clip is played once you click it. The final flash that has been found is located here, upon clicking the back-arrow enough times, similarly to the previous one. Nicolas Cage (born January 7, 1954) is an award-winning American actor best known for his often questionable movie roles and unusual over-reacting to everything. He first got into this business thanks to help from his uncle Francis Ford Coppola and is known for appearing in various Jerry Bruckheimer blockbuster productions. He has appeared in films such as Raising Arizona, Moonstruck, Vampire's Kiss, Wild at Heart (with Willem Dafoe), Amos & Andrew (with Samuel L. Jackson and Brad Dourif), Deadfall (with Charlie Sheen), Leaving Las Vegas, Michael Bay's The Rock (Cage and this film are referenced briefly in Experiment 902's The Phantom Planet), Con Air (with John Malkovich and Danny Trejo), Face/Off (with John Travolta), Joel Schumacher's 8MM, Bringing Out the Dead (with Tom Sizemore), Gone in Sixty Seconds (with Angelina Jolie and Vinnie Jones), Brett Ratner's The Family Man (with Don Cheadle), Windtalkers (with Christian Slater), National Treasure (and it's sequels), Lord of War, World Trade Center (with Roger R. Cross), Bangkok Dangerous, Knowing (with Rose Byrne), Bad Lieutenant: Port of Call - New Orleans (with Val Kilmer and again with Dourif), Kick-Ass, Season of the Witch (with Ron Perlman), Drive Angry in 3D (with William Fichtner), Seeking Justice (with Guy Pearce and Harold Perrineau), The Frozen Ground and Joe. In the RiffTrax Live event Sharknado, Michael J. Nelson does a dead-on impersonation of Mr. Cage: "Uhh, yeah, what's in the Tornado, a shark or something?" According to police records, his crimes during this period included robbing convenience stores, harassing Cher, and killing 32 year old Bobby Ray Lemon with his bare hands. At the age of 17, he developed a fascination with movies. He particularly liked the films of James Cagney and Edward G. Robinson. It was this fascination that would both ruin his youth and shape his adult life. At the age of 18, while watching the film Little Caesar, he shot everyone in the theater including himself. He was put into a coma from the injury, but he was nonetheless the only survivor of the incident. Three months later, after waking, he was sentenced to life in prison at Alcatraz. Nicolas Cage (born Nicolas Coppola, January 7, 1964) is an American actor, known for collaborating many times with film producer Jerry Bruckheimer. He changed his last name to Cage because he was related to the great director, Francis Ford Coppola, and didn't want an unfair advantage pursuing success in film on his own efforts. Cage pursued acting as a career, making his debut on television in 1981. Cage has featured in numerous "bad boy" roles, and has won numerous awards, beginning in 1989 with his Independent Spirit Award, an Academy Award for Best Actor for his lead role in Leaving Las Vegas, and his most recent Toronto Film Critics Association Award in 2002. Cage has appeared in over 60 films including Face Off (1997), Ghost Rider (2007), and National Treasure (2004). He is an avid comic book fan, with his surname coming from Marvel Comics' Luke Cage, and naming his second son Kal-El (so his son's full name is Kal-El Coppola Cage). He played Ghost Rider, and was considered for Superman in a movie that struggled and never came out. In 2010, he got a serious fanboy Crowning Moment of Awesome co-starring in Kick-Ass as Crazy Awesome Badass Big Daddy, who wipes out warehouses full of mobsters single-handedly. Leaving Las Vegas is probably the most noteworthy thing he's been involved with, he has made quite a few lesser works over the years, although this may fall under the category of Ham and Cheese. Which is why he gets some Memetic Mutation. Cracked.com once pitched the theory that he is attempting some sort of experiment where he takes only the best and worst films offered to him. Others might say that he just takes any role offered to him, because he loves what he does. Recently had some serious financial difficulties, so he's probably trying to pay the bills. Roger Ebert named a specific trope after him; the Nicolas Cage Wig-Out Scene, as nobody plays a grown man throwing a screaming tantrum quite like Mr. Cage, and for a while it seemed an indispensable part of every one of his films. It's been lampshaded and parodied by Saturday Night Live's own Andy Samberg for the Weekend Update segment "Get in the Cage" (once such segment even had the real Nicolas Cage as a clone of Samberg's Cage created so Samberg's Cage can star in every movie ever made). Cage is also the subject of another popular meme, "Nic Cage as Everyone", which is photo manipulations of Nicolas Cage as film/TV characters, historical figures and current celebrities. Beware, serious Uncanny Valley ahead; albeit done in utterly hilarious fashion. You will not look at The A-Team the same way again. Especially Baracus. He also has several memetic songs made from his lines, which have also become memetic.
