When the Decepticon faction is fractured by infighting, treachery, and general dickishness, the Enclave (known to the Autobots as the Bad Guy's Ball) is called. Under the flag of truce, the various squabbling Decepticon splinter factions put aside their differences and laser cannons to negotiate an internal peace. Punch is served. The Sentinel Enclave and Library lies on the outskirts of Marcuria, near the ocean. It has a distinctive dome with a large stone dragon coiled around it. Underneath the dragon, a large circular diagram resembling the symbol of the Balance is inscribed into the stone. When April reassembled the Stone Disk, she used the diagram and magical fire from the dragon's mouth to bind the four pieces together. Beside the diagram, a small stairway leads down from the dome to the great Library underneath. The Enclave was a pocket galaxy which connected the Obverse to the wider universe. (PROSE: The Blue Angel) The Enclave was a short-lived organization created by kretin in the Third Era solely to oppose the Brotherhood of Steel. It was led by Tox as President John Adams. The faction had no bases nor carried out any actual operations. In effect, it was a deliberate paper tiger created to mock and satirize the Brotherhood and their Proclamation of Peace. After the defeat of the Brotherhood, kretin issued a recruiting drive in the community forum in preparation for a declaration of war against the Dragonslayers. When the effort failed, the faction was disbanded. A type of small walled village commonly used on Torongo Nui. Firaud got the idea from his dreams in Truth. It is only big enough to hold a small settlement of Matoran (10-100), but is easily defended. A normal enclave had about 5 Toa defending it, but the number has rose too 8 with the war. In the centre of the Library is a large pool of water which can be drained with sluices: it is directly below the centre of the diagram and cools the Stone Disk when it falls through. The Enclave is also used to store some of the more valuable Sentinel artifacts: the Stone Disk was originally kept there, and other objects may be as well. The Enclave is a secretive political, scientific, and militaristic organization that is descended directly from members of the pre-War United States government, and claims to be the legally-sanctioned continuation of the government, while also styling themselves and their overall demeanor as such. The Enclave were also secretly involved in the "Vault" program of nuclear shelters, which is one of the central elements of the Fallout universe. These vaults were ostensibly intended to protect those wealthy enough to afford a spot in one from the nuclear holocaust, but they were also used for a "social experiment" by the Enclave, where most of the vaults secretly had some unusual and often downright harmful "gimmick" intended to test how people would behave in such situations. For instance, Vault 11 supposedly required the inhabitants to sacrifice one of their own each year for the community to survive, Vault 106 was laced with mind-altering drugs that turned the people inside crazy, and Vault 112 was a virtual reality program where the Overseer controlling the simulation went insane and started torturing the other people for fun. In Fallout: New Vegas, the Enclave has been almost completely destroyed, except for six now very old retired members who the player can reunite for one last mission during the endgame battle for Hoover Dam.
